I took my family to see the "Songcheng Eternal Love" performance at Songcheng Opera in Hangzhou. From the labors of the Liangzhu ancestors to the song and dance of the Southern Song Dynasty imperial court, every scene was incredibly immersive. The scenes of war and battle were incredibly moving, and Yue Fei's patriotic loyalty made my blood boil. The stories of White Snake, Xu Xian, and Liang Zhu were both beautiful and tear-jerking. The cascading water during the flooding of Jinshan Mountain was truly breathtaking! Finally, Hangzhou's tea and silk fully embodied the charm of the Jiangnan region, making it a truly worthwhile trip!
Taking your parents to Songcheng this weekend was a perfect idea! The "Songcheng Eternal Love" performance brought history to life, and families chased each other around during the Water Splashing Festival, getting soaked and having a blast. The time-travel flash mob featured incredibly cool young men and women in ancient costumes, trying on Hanfu costumes with their parents and chatting with NPCs handing out banknotes, making them feel like true ancient people. The static NPCs standing there created an atmosphere, and the AR time-travel experience allowed for interactive virtual characters. The whole family had so much fun they didn't want to leave—it was truly worth the trip!

It rained heavily when we went there in the afternoon. We gritted our teeth and decided to go in. The weather was good and the rain stopped around 6 o'clock. We watched the iron flower show, the fire pot show, the drone show and the fireworks show, but we couldn't find the NPC interaction part.
The scenic area is quite large, and there are many interesting shops. However, many tourists don’t know where the performance locations are as announced. The last human-machine show and fireworks show started a little late. It is recommended to make fewer iron flowers and advance the time of the drone show.

We specifically chose to go on the weekend of the second week of summer vacation so it would be less crowded. The scenery is quite nice and well-maintained, with little trash on the ground and clean restrooms. We took the scenic bus from the North Gate to the South Gate to start the hike, which was a bit of a mistake. We missed the bus and had to wait 15 minutes for the next one. The traffic was very congested, so the 20-minute drive took a full 43 minutes, which was a huge waste of time. We could have started the hike from the North Gate. There aren't many dining options on the mountain. I don't know if KFC was closed or not yet open, so there wasn't much to eat.
This is a scenic spot that should not only charge 80 or 90 yuan for tickets. It is so beautiful, the overall experience is very worthwhile, the service is very good, there is even a milk tea shop on the mountain. The only thing is that the route is a bit disordered. I think this is a must-see attraction in Jingdezhen and the most worthwhile!
It combines both old and new, perfectly showcasing some kiln sites, ceramic craftsmanship, and the fusion of history and modernity.
The famous Imperial Kiln Museum is located within the scenic area, but reservations must be made three days in advance. Same-day reservations are available, but there's a long wait. I didn't visit during the holiday because it was too crowded.
Longzhu Pavilion is a landmark building within Taoyangli, and there are plenty of photo spots around it!
There's a ceramic frame right in front that requires a line for photos!
So, I recommend staying within the scenic area and exploring it before 8 a.m. to fully book the entire area.
Except for the fact that it's too hot in Jingdezhen right now, the Taoyangli Scenic Area is really nice. The Imperial Kiln Museum is quite stunning. I'll definitely go there when the temperature is right!

We happened to see someone else post about the VIP membership, and my husband said he had to buy it! It's pricey, but the aroma is so good! The lines on this kind of weather are insane! With this, the whole trip was smooth sailing. Our housekeeper, Xiao Yu, was fantastic, always there for us, running around and holding our child's hand! We had a full day of fun, but we didn't feel exhausted and ate a lot. We couldn't even finish the food in the set meal, so we packed it up. If you want a good experience, I recommend paying for the VIP membership. Otherwise, waiting in line for hours to enjoy a one- or two-minute activity will ruin your mood.

I couldn't get in, so I could only buy a ticket to enter the exhibition. The porcelain inside was still amazing, but there were too many people. The Qianlong exhibition was very interesting, but there was a long queue for the Silent Buddha, so I gave up decisively because it was too hot.

My family, including elderly and children, went together. The weather was incredibly hot, making the entire process a bit tiring. The heat was particularly intense, and the children were reluctant to move. The activity wasn't particularly engaging, and it lacked much appeal. My child, however, enjoys pottery and has experienced it many times, including visiting the Yueshan Gulong Kiln and making her own. However, today, perhaps due to the weather and other factors, he wasn't very interested.
I rented an electronic guide, but it didn't have a lanyard. Because it's a touchscreen, it started explaining things incoherently if I accidentally touched it. I initially stuffed it in my pocket, but ended up listening to the kiln god scene several times... I had to hold it in my hand. I had to carry an umbrella, phone, guide, and fan—it was too much to handle.
It's a great place worth visiting, but summer isn't the best time. It's too hot, not a breath of wind, and we mostly did our activities outdoors. After an hour of walking, I felt exhausted. I bought a cold drink at the cafe at the entrance and recovered some energy. The ticket price was quite high, so the experience wasn't worth it.
