I came back from Chengdu to eat barbecue, and I was not disappointed. It was a little different from other barbecues I usually eat. It was no longer the same large amount of cumin ingredients. The meat was roasted fragrantly without being dry, tender and juicy. The pork belly was really amazing. I came a little late, and there were only a few dishes left to order. I will come earlier next time.

There were quite a few people at noon, and the order was simple. There were three dishes: stir-fried kidney, stir-fried pork liver, and stir-fried tripe. I think the kidney was the best, followed by the pork liver. The tripe was a bit bitter, which is a characteristic of the ingredients themselves. The three dishes were cooked in a similar way, stir-fried over high heat, with chives and scallions added, with heavy oil and heavy flavor, suitable for eating with rice. If you look closely, they are not amazing, but they are cheap and good value dishes worth eating with rice, and you will not regret it.

Huanglongxi Ancient Town is a Chengdu local's secret weekend getaway. ✨Tucked away at the end of the subway, this century-old town perfectly preserves the ambiance of old Chengdu. While enjoying the retro atmosphere of the 1950s and 1960s, drinking, eating and barbecue under the shade of trees is really the ultimate enjoyment in the town, so the business of this restaurant has always been good.
The shops on Tianfu Street in Anren Ancient Town feel that they are all built by people with new-age cultural creativity. Tianfu Street is an old street in Anren Ancient Town. It used to be relatively ordinary. In recent years, through the renovation of old buildings, a new artistic street has been formed. The whole street has Tianfu Academy of Fine Arts Winery Restaurant, Tie-Dye Shop, Coffee Shop where the owner roasts beans by himself, and a delicious bakery and jewelry shop. The atmosphere is relatively good. The ancient town has another style. It feels like the streets near Taipei’s military dependents’ village. It’s very comfortable. Every time I go to Anren, I will come here to drink a cup of coffee. Walking around, you can also see the figure of old people playing cards next to you. It has a very human atmosphere.
