Geographical location
Qilian Mountain Scenic Tourist Area is located at the southern foot of Qilian Mountain in Qilian County, Qinghai Province, covering many famous attractions, such as Zhuoer Mountain, Arou Temple, Qilian Mountain Grassland, Binggou Forest, etc.
Main attractions
• Zhuoer Mountain: Zhuoer Mountain is one of the famous attractions in Qilian Mountain Scenic Tourist Area. It is about 3,000 meters above sea level and has a wide view, overlooking the entire Qilian County. Opposite is Niuxin Mountain, where the snow on the top of the mountain never melts all year round. On the left and right sides are Ladongxia and Baiyanggou Scenic Area.
• Arou Temple: Arou Temple is an important Tibetan Buddhist temple in Qilian area, with rich religious culture and historical value.
• Qilian Mountain Grassland: Qilian Mountain Grassland is one of the six most beautiful grasslands in China. In July and August every year, the grassland is full of green waves, dotted with horses, cattle and sheep, forming a beautiful picture with the snow-capped mountains in the distance.

• Xixia Beacon Tower Observation Platform: The Xixia Beacon Tower Ruins are said to be one of the many beacon towers built by Li Ni, the last emperor of the Xixia Dynasty, on various hilltops in the hinterland of the Qilian Mountains when the country was destroyed. This beacon tower was rebuilt on the basis of the Xixia Beacon Tower Ruins. It is 9.36 meters high and has a wide view from the top, allowing you to enjoy the 360-degree panoramic view of the Zhuoer Mountain Scenic Area.
• Jishan Observation Platform: Located at Wanfo Cliff, it is a stone forest landscape. The clusters of stone forests and stone buds are Buddha statues that appear naturally in rocks, which are vivid and lifelike. This viewing platform is built by cleverly combining pressure-resistant tempered laminated glass and stainless steel keel frames, allowing tourists to see the beautiful scenery of the sacred mountain, stone forest and grassland through the glass plank road.
