A day and a half is the perfect pace. Not too rushed, not too slow. You get to experience most of the attractions. Universal Beijing is quite suitable for children of all ages. Teenagers especially enjoy the thrilling rides. It's great.
Beijing’s Universal Studios had a great vibe during Christmas. The decorations, music, and atmosphere made the whole place feel festive. The Harry Potter area was a highlight as always, with fun rides and a really immersive feel. The food surprised me too. It was much better than what you usually get in theme parks, with more variety and better quality than expected. Overall, a solid experience.

Try to go at Night, buy the correct package. No night visits in the witer.
Too many people, long queues, no scenery, bad timing, packed with people, terrible experience. A 2-minute cable car ride resulted in a 2-hour wait! I don't know what the scenic area was thinking!

The scholar mentioned that Guide Li took me on a tour of the Forbidden City. The Palace Museum boasts a rich collection and a long history. Guide Li's knowledge was astonishing; he could meticulously and completely recount the historical anecdotes of each site. Listening to Guide Li's explanations, the hours flew by. I hope to have the opportunity to participate in the scholar's tour again and meet Guide Li once more.
I was on a business trip to Beijing and had a good amount of time, so I decided to visit the Forbidden City. I joined a tour group led by Xiao Hai (Li, a guide from Xiucai Shuo), who was with a group of about a dozen tourists from different places. Although it was early winter and the wind was biting, the magnificent palaces still shone with golden splendor. The Forbidden City has many stories, and Xiao Hai, a meticulous and knowledgeable young guide, was extremely knowledgeable about its architecture, artifacts, and historical anecdotes. He led us through the city, explaining every scene and object as if they were his own, interspersed with interesting tidbits that kept everyone's attention. Throughout the tour, his explanations gave us a deeper and more comprehensive understanding of the Forbidden City, and he earned much praise and gratitude from everyone. When we parted, everyone hoped that they could rely on his help and companionship again on their next trip to Beijing.

Cable cars are essential for the elderly and children. After getting off the cable car, it's just a short walk to the top of Mount Tai. With the help of modern transportation, climbing Mount Tai and looking down at the world is no longer a difficult task.
The scenery in early winter was absolutely stunning. The weather was perfect, the sky seemed to have a built-in filter. Climbing to the top of the mountain gave me a panoramic view of the surrounding peaks. I queued up at Bixia Temple to receive blessed fruit, bringing back good fortune from Mount Tai.

Xiucai (a popular online commentator) said that tour guide Hong Dao's explanations at the scenic spot were professional and vivid. She was also very attentive to the needs of tourists throughout the visit, including taking photos and ensuring safety while walking. He would recommend her to friends visiting Prince Gong's Mansion. 🥰🥰🥰
Prince Gong's Mansion is truly worth a special trip! A must-see is the 99 and a half rooms of the Treasure Pavilion, where you can discover the vast wealth hidden in the cracks of the walls; take a photo of the magnificent Western-style gate and experience the Western charm within a traditional Chinese courtyard; and most importantly, don't miss touching the "Number One Blessing Under Heaven" inscription written by Emperor Qianlong, ensuring you receive abundant blessings. It's highly recommended to hire an official guide for a truly meaningful experience—the secrets hidden deep within the courtyards, the past of Heshen and Prince Gong, are all concealed in every brick and tile. Listening to these stories while exploring the mansion is the only way to truly understand this mansion, which represents "half of the Qing Dynasty's history."

A must-see attraction in Jinan, it's incredibly crowded. Visiting on a weekend made it even more packed. If you're driving, park at Quancheng Square; it's just a few minutes' walk from there. I booked my tickets in advance on Ctrip, so entering was easy – just scan the code!
I saw the famous Baotu Spring. It's best to arrive around 8 AM when it's less crowded, making it easier to take photos and check in. By 9 AM, the Baotu Spring becomes quite busy. The scenic area is also a park, with various historical sites, pavilions, woods, and lawns that you can explore; the scenery is quite beautiful. Overall, it's definitely worth a visit.

Marked as a World Heritage Site, Temple of Heaven is absolutely worth a visit! The largest building (Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests) is visible miles away if you are walking towards it (making it convenient - can close out of Baidu maps and just keep walking which is what we did haha!) We purchased tickets upon arrival, easy process. There were many people taking photographs but you can get good shots if you tilt your camera up or get lucky with timing. The park itself is beautiful and serene, making it a great place to relax and enjoy for 1-2 hours.
This activity is perfect for tourists who come on a last-minute trip and haven't made any reservations in advance. The tour guide's explanations were very engaging and the content was rich. It's a pity the time was a bit short, which felt like it limited their time to fully enjoy themselves. 😁

The Summer Palace, nestled against Longevity Hill and Kunming Lake, covers over 300 hectares, with water accounting for about three-quarters of its area. Surrounded by mountains and water, it is a royal garden renowned for its breathtaking scenery. Its pavilions, halls, corridors, bridges, and terraces each possess unique characteristics, borrowing scenery from the natural environment to elevate the Summer Palace's beauty far beyond the garden itself. In 1998, the Summer Palace became a World Heritage Site.
A Brief Introduction to the Flowers, Trees, and Plants of the Summer Palace: Ancient and Famous Trees: * **Chinese Pine:** An evergreen tree with a beautiful shape, widely distributed throughout the Summer Palace. * **White Pine:** A precious tree species, named for its unique white bark. * **Chinese Arborvitae:** Commonly used in landscaping, highly ornamental. * **Chinese Scholar Tree:** Flowers in summer with a strong fragrance, a common street tree in Beijing. * **Ginkgo:** Its leaves turn golden in autumn, adding much autumnal color to the Summer Palace. Flowers and Plants: * **Magnolia:** Blooms in early spring with pure white or pink flowers, exuding fragrance, a top choice for spring flower viewing. * **Peony:** Known as the "King of Flowers," its blooms are elegant and magnificent. * **Plum Blossom:** Blooms in late winter and early spring, highly cold-resistant, symbolizing perseverance. * **Lotus:** Blooming gracefully on Kunming Lake in summer, the lotus flowers stand tall and provide a refreshing feeling. Chrysanthemum: A representative flower of autumn, with many varieties and vibrant colors.

Walking along the cobblestone path in autumn, before the sun set, we climbed to the No. 14 watchtower of the Mutianyu Great Wall. The bright sunlight shone on the wall, painting it with a golden hue, and as twilight deepened, it resembled a golden dragon winding its way through the towering mountains. We felt as if we were riding a dragon through the clouds, forgetting time and the hustle and bustle of the world in the sunset…
I learned about this section of the Great Wall from a variety show. It's not difficult to climb, and not too steep. The sections from watchtowers 14 to 19 are occasionally steep, and the final section to Hero's Terrace is a bit treacherous, requiring the use of both hands and feet. For those with elderly family members, taking the cable car round trip is a much better option.

Penglai Pavilion is a very large scenic area with expansive sea views. Inside the park is a huge Qi Jiguang Memorial Hall (unfortunately, we didn't have enough time to explore it thoroughly). Penglai Pavilion itself is the best part; the cable car area afterwards was just so-so (it was under construction, mostly a construction site), and we didn't have enough time to visit the museum. We went during the May Day holiday, and it was extremely crowded; some seats were very cramped, and there were long queues. Overall, it was quite nice, but the scenic area is enormous, so I recommend planning ahead. Towards the end, we ran out of time and didn't even have time for lunch.
The Penglai Pavilion Scenic Area features the Qi Jiguang Memorial Hall, the Penglai Pavilion ancient architectural complex, and the Ancient Ship Museum, offering both natural and cultural attractions. After visiting over a dozen exhibition halls, one develops a deep admiration for the national hero Qi Jiguang's spirit of resisting Japanese pirates. Decades of valiant fighting finally realized his life's ambition, set at the age of 19: "I do not desire titles and honors, but only wish for peace on the seas."
