Visiting the Longji Rice Terraces in early November, it was drizzling. The rice was ripe, and the layers of golden rice fields, set against the backdrop of the misty rain, had a poetic beauty that made one marvel at the diligence and resilience of our Chinese ancestors.

Although the rice has been harvested, the scenery is still beautiful. The scenic area has thoughtful service. My drone fell into the ditch due to lack of power. The scenic area arranged security guard Xiao Yu to help search for more than half an hour without any reward. I am very grateful to the high-quality staff of the scenic area.
The Jiabang Rice Terraces truly live up to their reputation. Whether it's the breathtaking sunrise or the tranquil sunset, you'll truly experience the beauty created by humanity and nature. This breathtaking scenery, straight out of a painting, is not to be missed.

It's just so-so~~ Compared to the price, it's just so-so, with average cost-effectiveness~~~ There are many still life exhibits inside, and each person has a headset to listen to the explanation. If the children are more interested in history and culture, it's ok to walk for 2 hours, but I don't recommend eating osmanthus ice cream, it's too sweet, with a strong flavor of essence.
20230315 afternoon:
1. "Osmanthus Commune" is a new factory-run scenic spot with osmanthus as the theme. It presents the nature, humanities, applications and commodities of Guilin osmanthus in a comprehensive and detailed manner. The indoor audio-visual and scenery visual effects are shocking.

2. The scenic spot has free guided tours, mainly indoors. Entering the exhibition hall, the welcoming mural is a nine-layer hollow carving painting, using the artistic expression of "overlapping colors". It is very beautiful after the tour guide turns on the lights. The content shows the top scholar, "Sun and Moon Twin Towers", Guilin landscape and other contents. Then we entered the history and popular science introduction hall of Guilin and osmanthus. Hanging above his head was a carbonized osmanthus seed that was confirmed to be 10,000 years old after carbon 14 testing. It was unearthed from Zengpi Rock in Guilin and is the earliest osmanthus seed in the world. The natural growth, varieties, and relationship of osmanthus with Guilin were introduced in the form of pictures, texts, wax figures, etc.
3. Entering the audio-visual hall, there is a 5D film introducing Guilin and osmanthus. The visual effects are magnificent and shocking, and the images of stepping on the ground make people feel like they are there. The popular science wall behind introduced the types of osmanthus. The next exhibition hall shows the application of osmanthus. Osmanthus is used in traditional Chinese medicine (there is a bronze sculpture of Li Shizhen compiling "Compendium of Materia Medica", which is a photo spot), osmanthus honey, aromatherapy, wine making, cosmetics, etc.
4. The next hall "Laoguan•Zhuangyuan Jidi" shows the relationship between osmanthus and the eight champions in Guilin's history. The colorful decorative lights above the head are densely hanging down like vast stars, and the color changes are extremely beautiful. The statue of the number one scholar holding a book and studying hard under the osmanthus tree turned the hall from a dream into reality. The semi-stereoscopic wall sculpture of the number one scholar, the simulated banquet before going to Beijing for the imperial examination (local officials would treat students to a meal before going to Beijing for the "palace examination" because the students would most likely serve as officials in the same court in the future), and the subsequent light and shadow animation were warmed up and paved the way. The animation was a segment of ancient figures projected on a painted relief painting, similar to a shadow play, and interpreted the last "three-level successor" in Chinese history (the first place in the provincial examination, the joint examination, and the palace examination. It was quite interesting to stumble upon their Lusheng Festival. However, it was a little disappointing that after walking through the front garden, we turned back at the shopping street! Later we learned that the actual scenic area is inside the shopping street.
The iconic village of Dongxiang has distinct characteristics and profound cultural heritage. The drum tower and villages are well-arranged, and the ethnic crafts such as batik are well-experienced. The scenic area is very large. Entering from the west gate, it took 40 minutes to walk to the north gate. The forest along the way was lush and rich in vegetation, a natural oxygen bar. At the north gate, we admired the orchid garden, which was captivating. Then we took a small train to the leaf garden at the east gate (10 yuan per person). The leaf garden was a world of bougainvillea flowers. We then exited from the east gate, taking 3.5 hours in total. We felt we hadn't seen enough, but unfortunately, time was limited.
Qingxiu Mountain boasts a beautiful environment, pleasant scenery, fresh air, a wide variety of plant species, and flowers that bloom in vibrant colors, making it a feast for the eyes. The paths within the park are refreshing and pleasing to the eye. Overall, it's a great place to visit and well worth the trip!

To be honest, the scenery at Mingshi Pastoral Park is just average. I wouldn't recommend it to tourists from outside Guangxi Province. It's a long trip, so it's better to go to Yangshuo and take a bamboo raft to enjoy the Guilin landscape. This combined ticket only covers two-thirds of the bamboo raft trip (I feel ripped off; this wasn't mentioned in the online ticket information). A single ticket for the scenic area covers the entire trip. Once you disembark, it's just a small park, and that's it—you're out of the scenic area. Note: The auntie singing folk songs on the shore was genuine and her singing was beautiful; the boatman was simple and honest; the young lady on the bamboo raft was beautiful, kind, and provided excellent service. She even sang us folk songs by Liu Sanjie—her voice was sweet and melodious; kudos to them! Thank you! Detian Waterfall is spectacular and breathtaking; highly recommended! The scenic area isn't large, but the route is well-designed, with multiple viewing and photo opportunities along the way back. I suggest taking a bamboo raft to see the waterfall up close; I think the price is reasonable.
The scenery is amazing. It was very pleasant to take a bamboo raft tour on the Mingshi River. The tour guide was very enthusiastic and sang for us. The countryside and the fish scale dam were also very healing. We watched another performance on the way back.

The Jinkeng Scenic Area within the Longsheng Rice Terraces Scenic Area in Guangxi is the largest of the three scenic areas. You can drive directly to the entrance and then take a cable car up the mountain to admire the terraced fields.
The scenery is breathtaking. We visited in October, just before the rice harvest, and the golden terraces were a magnificent sight. The rice harvest will begin in a few days.
It's only a two-hour trip to this scenic area, after which you can explore other terraced fields.
In the morning, I embarked on a journey to Longji Terraces with anticipation. Along the way, the scenery outside the car window gradually changed from the hustle and bustle of the city to the tranquility of the countryside, and my mood became relaxed.
When we arrived at Longji Terraces, the sun was shining. Standing at the foot of the mountain, looking up, the terraces are stacked layer by layer, like waves of the earth, extending from the foot of the mountain to the top of the mountain, which is magnificent. The sun shines on the terraces, sparkling, as if covering the earth with a layer of golden gauze.
Climbing up the mountain road, you can feel the magic of nature with every step. The lines of the terraces are beautiful and smooth, like a scroll carefully drawn by nature. On the ridges, you can occasionally see hardworking farmers working, who are integrated with the terraces, forming a vivid pastoral landscape.
Climbing to the top of the mountain, overlooking the entire terrace, the view is suddenly clear. The mountains in the distance are undulating, surrounded by clouds and mist, and the terraces are looming in the clouds and mist, like a fairyland. The breeze blew, and the rice ears swayed gently, making a rustling sound, as if telling an ancient legend.
