#Local Food
I spent a week in Hawaii and the Big Island, and I'd like to share some food maps with you!
🌺Hawaii Main Island
1️⃣Teppanyaki (shop name: aoki)
👅Taste: The quality of the ingredients is good. We ordered several servings to share among the six of us. The portion is quite large. The beef is delicious and the fried rice is also delicious
✅The chef who makes teppanyaki will show off his skills. It's quite interesting to watch while eating
The store also has a photo service, and will give you a photo for free. If you like more, you can buy it with money
🌟Recommendation index: 🌟🌟🌟🌟
📍Location: 2005 Kālia Rd, Honolulu, HI 96815
On Waikiki Beach, near the Hilton Hotel, close to ABC s tore)
💰Per capita: $56
2️⃣Japanese restaurant🍴 (I don’t remember the specific name)
✅Features: Ramen tastes good, the portion is very large, one bowl of ramen is definitely enough for one person, and the tempura is fried very crispy
❎Sushi is average, the sashimi on top doesn’t seem to be very fresh
🌟Recommendation index: 🌟🌟🌟half
📍Location: Royal Hawaiin Center 3rd floor, you can see it from the elevator next to ABC store
💰Per capita: about $30, because we ordered extra snacks
3️⃣Seafood restaurant (herringbone Waikiki)
✅Delicious food:
Mashed potatoes are super delicious
We ordered several dishes with tuna, and none of them were disappointing. I strongly recommend trying their tuna
The roasted vegetables tasted good too. The seaweed we ordered that day was a little sweet
The lava cake base was delicious, but the chocolate sauce inside might be a little too sweet for Chinese stomachs
❎I don’t know if it was because there were so many people that day or the restaurant was slow. That day, I was so hungry that I didn’t feel hungry anymore
🌟Recommendation index: 🌟🌟🌟🌟 (If the food is not slow, you can give half a 🌟 more)
📍You can find it by searching the name of the store on Google
4️⃣Bar (Yard House)
This is a love-hate restaurant
✅The food here is very delicious, the nachos are super delicious, all the orders are good, tacos are a must, onion rings, chicken wings, steak, burgers are delicious, and the beer is super large, so you can't drink it even if you sit down, haha
❎Service attitude, I don't know if it's because of zgr, we went there with a lot of people, and they said at the beginning that they wouldn't be able to serve so many people, which is acceptable, but then the waiter spilled the wine on my friend and blamed my friend for standing in a bad position (she slipped her hand, and my friend didn't move)
🌟Recommendation index: 🌟🌟🌟Half
📍 Location: 226 Lewers St., Suite L-148, Honolulu, HI, 96815
🌃Big Island Hilo
1️⃣Western food (located in SCP Hilo Next to the hotel) ✅ This restaurant is the most cost-effective one we have eaten at ✅ Restaurants in Hilo close very early, but this one is open very late. If you have nothing to eat at night, you can definitely go to this restaurant. The steak is delicious, the ribs are also very good, the fries are definitely not wrong, and the noodles are a bit like Chinese ✅ Recommended index: 🌟🌟🌟🌟 ✅ Per capita: 159RMB (per capita for eight of us who ate too much) ✅ Japanese restaurant (Zhemian) ✅ We ordered udon noodles, pork chop rice and curry rice, as well as fried dumplings. Each one is delicious and the portion is large. One staple food per person will definitely fill you up. The largest portion is the curry rice, which covers two bowls of rice.
The pork chop is also very delicious. Relatively speaking, the udon noodles are the least delicious, but they are better than what I had in Hawaii before.
❎You have to queue up normally. You can’t eat in at 8:30 pm and can only take out.
🌟Recommendation index: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
📍Location: 693 Manono ST, unit 103
💰Per capita: around 90RMB
🏖️Kona, Big Island
1️⃣Kona Joe Coffee
✅This is a manor with a tour of the coffee making process. There are two types: free and paid. We only drank coffee here and didn’t visit (didn’t find the way 😂). In addition to coffee, there are desserts to order in the store. The view of the manor is very good. It’s not bad to have afternoon tea, see the scenery and understand the coffee making process.
❎The coffee tastes average, not as good as the one called Kona Coffee next to the hotel we later The coffee in the shop is delicious, and the price of bagged coffee is more expensive than outside.
🌟Recommendation index: 🌟🌟🌟half
📍Location: 79-7346 Mamalahoa Hwy, Kealakekua, Hi 96750
2️⃣Seafood restaurant (Umekes Fish Market Bar & Grill)
✅It can be said that this is the most satisfactory one on this trip, the portion is very large
The taco is really delicious and big, oysters must be ordered raw, the sashimi platter is very fresh and everything is delicious, the steak is very tender, and the fried chicken wings are very juicy!
❎The only disadvantage that can't be considered a disadvantage is that there are quite a lot of people and you have to queue up. You have to get a number at the door. If there are many people, you can ask the waiter to arrange a larger seat. The slow serving speed may be a problem for every local restaurant. 🌟Recommendation index: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
📍Location: 74-5599 Pawai Pl, Kailua-Kona
💰Per capita: 350RMB
3️⃣Western food (A Bay's)
✅This restaurant is quite standard, the serving is still very slow, there are singers, the overall atmosphere is good, the taste of the food did not leave much impression, it is just standard
It is a good choice to come here to listen to music and have dinner after watching the sunset at the Marriott
🌟Recommendation index: 🌟🌟🌟🌟
📍Location: Opposite the Marriott Hotel
💰Per capita: 300RMB
