The guided tour we chose, the buffet set meal, and the assigned guide were all incredibly warm and lovely. My mother hadn't been able to leave due to illness, but the guide patiently waited for us without rushing us, and kept pace with our steps. Without a guide, these kinds of attractions are truly just sightseeing; you can't appreciate the beauty and history of these ancient sites. It was absolutely great value for money. And now with air conditioning, visiting the Terracotta Warriors in the summer won't be so unbearable.
Truly breathtaking and worth seeing! However, when renting the audio guide, I wasn't told that it could be used at both the museum and Lishan Garden, so I ended up paying twice! 🤣 Even in the off-season, it was still very crowded, so I highly recommend arriving early for a better experience.

The Xi'an City Wall is perfect for cycling in the early morning! Rent a bicycle and leisurely ride along the cobblestone path. Sunlight filters through the crenellations of the wall, casting dappled shadows on your body. Passing Yongning Gate, you'll see elderly people doing their morning exercises and tourists taking photos. The moat below the wall ripples, and the distant high-rises and ancient city walls create a picturesque scene, a truly healing blend of the ancient and the modern. When you get tired, head straight to the Bell and Drum Towers. The red walls and green tiles of the buildings gleam brightly in the sunlight, and the deep, resonant sound of the bells transports you back to the Tang Dynasty.
I started from Yongchang Gate onto the city wall, passed Yongning Gate, and intended to descend through Zhuque Gate, but I didn't see the exit until I reached Wumu Gate. I hope the signs are clearer. The city wall must offer different experiences during the day and at night, but unfortunately, it can only be viewed from a distance at night.

Mount Hua has always been a must-visit mountain in my motherland. I just turned 65 this October, and I couldn't wait to travel alone from Chengdu to Xi'an. The next day, I took a tourist shuttle bus to the Mount Hua scenic area, rode the cable car from the West Peak to the North Peak, and climbed all five peaks, experiencing the feeling of "the most beautiful scenery is on the most dangerous peaks," and walking among the clouds. On October 30th, the sun shone brightly, the autumn air was crisp and clear, and the scenery was stunning! Although I couldn't experience the Plank Road in the Sky due to my age, I climbed the Cloud Ladder twice, earning many thumbs-ups from younger people. I plan to challenge myself again next June, going from the North Peak to the West Peak.
Mount Hua is so beautiful! I climbed the West Peak and South Peak and experienced the "Eagle Turns Over" (a scenic route). By the time I came down, it was already past 6 pm. I waited in line for the cable car for an hour and finally got to the visitor center at 7:30 pm! Going up from the west and down from the north is relatively less strenuous on the legs, but my thighs were still so sore that I couldn't go up or down the stairs for two days!

The performance of "The Song of Everlasting Regret" was incredibly moving! "Heaven and earth may pass away, but this regret will last forever," the core of the poem lies in the word "regret." This "regret" is Emperor Xuanzong's endless remorse after losing his beloved; it is the constant longing he felt day and night for his beloved, as expressed in the lines "The Shu River is blue, the Shu Mountains are green, the Emperor's love is constant, morning and night"; it is Yang Guifei's unwillingness to accept her tragic death; it is the regret of "Years have passed since our separation by death, her soul has never come to me in dreams"; it is also history's silent condemnation of the abuse of power, and the world's sorrow at the destruction of beautiful love by reality.
I had high expectations for "The Song of Everlasting Regret." Before entering, there was a parade of floats and song and dance performances in the square, which created a great atmosphere. The first and second acts of the performance were quite impressive, especially the scene with the stars shining all over the mountain, which was a brilliant idea. However, the subsequent acts were a bit monotonous and lacked depth. They were beautiful, but they lacked a truly moving and impactful quality.

Overall must visit, can get congested. Very beautiful and with the history of the clay and pottery in every day life you get to learn more. Great viewpoint followed by very lively markets. The only thing we didn’t get to go round the lower level because it was 17:45 and despite there was plenty of time it was closed(hence the 2 4s) at least we were allowed to take a picture of the bell.
During my trip, I bought a combined ticket for the Bell Tower and Drum Tower, which was very convenient, as the two attractions are not far apart. The security guards and service staff were very patient and answered all my questions. The attractions were excellent, each with its own unique features, and overall, I was left with a deep impression of Xi'an.

The night view of Tang Paradise is very beautiful. I personally feel that it is best to buy tickets to enter before 6 pm, so that you can see Tang Paradise during the day and then see Tang Paradise at night, which will give you a comparison.
It's definitely a must-visit tourist destination in Xi'an. It's worth visiting if you want to learn about history, but if you're looking for a park experience, there's not much to see, and it's not very cost-effective.

It was incredibly impressive and awe-inspiring. Experiencing 600 years of history, interacting with the ancients, and having a unique experience is truly remarkable. It's definitely worth bringing children to see. It's very crowded, but it's absolutely worth the visit!
Although it was quite crowded during the summer holidays, it was still well worth the trip. There were parking spaces, and the queues were relatively orderly. The suspended sculptures at Xiaoxitian were exceptionally beautiful; definitely worth the visit!

The Hukou Waterfall in Yichuan is accompanied by a series of unique scenic spots, mainly eight wonders, namely: underwater smoke, boats sailing on dry land, rainbows playing in the water, mountains flying and sea standing, rain falling from the clear sky, thunder in a dry sky, ice peaks hanging upside down, and ten-mile dragon trough.
As the wheels rolled over the last stretch of dirt road, a deep, rumbling roar, like an ancient summons, pierced the car windows and reached our eardrums—not thunder, but the roar of the Yellow River surging deep within the canyon. We had finally arrived at the Hukou Waterfall scenic area in Yichuan, Shaanxi. The sound was like the heartbeat of the earth itself, foreshadowing a spiritual cleansing. Following the sound, we passed through a dry riverbed, and suddenly the view opened up before us. The wide Yellow River, like a thousand horses galloping, was abruptly constricted by the steep rocks on both banks, forcing its way from a channel about fifty meters wide into a narrow stone trough only thirty meters wide, as if gripped tightly by an invisible giant hand. The river instantly became violent, churning up huge, muddy waves that crashed with overwhelming force into the twenty-meter-deep pool at the bottom of the hukou. The impact of water and stone produced a deafening roar, like countless muffled thunderclaps rolling and exploding beneath our feet, causing the ground to tremble slightly. The splashing water, like shattered jade and swirling snow, carrying a torrent of vapor, rushed towards me, instantly soaking my clothes and hair, bringing a bone-chilling coolness. This spray was the Yellow River's rugged breath, the warmth of its ceaseless flow. Most breathtaking was the enormous rainbow that, like a miracle, spanned the two banks above the spray. It reached the azure sky above and descended like a curtain of water below, its seven colors swirling before the turbid curtain of water, reflecting the awe-inspiring spectacle of "turbid waves surging into the sky." At this moment, strength and gentleness, power and beauty, achieved a stunning harmony. I couldn't help but descend the stone steps, venturing into the "Dragon Cave"—a viewing cave carved into the cliff face. Standing within the belly of this colossal river, gazing upwards, I saw the muddy yellow waters seeming to pour down from the heavens, crashing down with overwhelming force. The oppressive feeling was almost suffocating, as if the Yellow River truly intended to "reach the Milky Way," sweeping me, so small, into the boundless torrent of time. As dusk settled, the tourists receded like a tide, and the clamor subsided. I stood alone, gazing at this ancient, ever-flowing river. With its destructive power, it carved deep "ten-mile-long dragon troughs" into the hard rock, like scars on the earth, like the rings of time. These scars are the Yellow River's medals for cleaving mountains with its flesh and blood, a silent declaration of its indomitable spirit and unwavering progress. It never stops because of obstacles, but rather transforms obstacles into deep troughs, resistance into cascading waterfalls, unleashing even more astonishing power with each impact, ultimately converging into an unstoppable torrent. As the last rays of sunlight sank into the canyon, the roaring sound still echoed in my ears. This sound was the pulse of the earth, the soul of the nation—it told me that true power is not invincible, but like the Yellow River, which, in endless collisions and flows, forges itself into an eternal landscape, a tireless roar that transcends time and space.

The Shaanxi History Museum, located northwest of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda in Xi'an, is a national comprehensive history museum with a collection of over 370,000 artifacts, systematically showcasing Shaanxi's glorious civilization from prehistoric times to modern times.
The Shaanxi History Museum in Xi'an is like a living history book. Spanning over 70,000 square meters, its Tang Dynasty-style architecture exudes a majestic grandeur. Upon entering, I was captivated by the bronze Fei Lian statue overhead. Warm yellow light shone on the slate-gray brick walls, casting a gentle veil over history. The glass cabinets in the exhibition hall resemble time capsules, housing over 370,000 artifacts. When the instructor explained that 18 national treasures were hidden here, my eyes were immediately drawn to the rusted bronze artifacts. A large tripod with Taotie patterns from the Shang and Zhou dynasties stood quietly, as if guarding a secret from thousands of years ago. The ancient human exhibits astonished me most. Clinging to the glass, I strained to identify the skull fossil of the Lantian Man—this Shaanxi native, 1.15 million years ago, could actually scrape animal skins with stone flakes! A nearby interactive model demonstrated how to make fire by drilling wood together, and the dancing flames reflected on the delighted faces of the children.
