Our tour guide, Xiao Luo, was very thoughtful in arranging the route according to our needs. We didn't backtrack at all, making the trip easy and enjoyable. The kids had fun and learned a lot at the same time – fantastic! 🎉🎉🎉
We visited the Chengdu Panda Base and absolutely loved it. The pandas were incredibly cute, and there were so many areas to explore. The whole place is spacious, clean, and well-organised, which made walking around very relaxing. We really enjoyed our visit and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Chengdu—especially if you love pandas!

Looking back at a history spanning thousands of years—thankfully, we found a professional guide, otherwise we wouldn't have understood it at all 😄 I have to praise the guide, Xiao Xu (Xu Jinrui), for his excellent and captivating explanations! For the first time in a museum, I didn't feel the weight of history, but rather an extremely avant-garde sense of science fiction!
I didn't like listening to the standard audio guides, so I specifically chose this guided tour service. Our guide, Ms. He, was already waiting for us at the museum early on, and even before we met, she patiently answered our questions about finding food and drinks. During the tour, Ms. He not only explained the existing exhibits but also patiently answered all our various off-the-beaten-path and seemingly random questions. The next day, on my second visit, I asked her the same questions, and she still answered them patiently. We all learned a lot. Thumbs up! 👍👍👍 Ms. He said it's the off-season, but I still felt there were too many people—"piles...piles...piles..." The amount of information was enormous, so I'll have to visit several times…

If you're interested in Tang poetry, you definitely should go; it's best to rent an audio guide or hire a guide. Even if you know nothing about it, it's still a great place to stroll around like in a park 👍 The maple leaves are red, and there are also ginkgo trees perfect for taking photos; the scenery is beautiful. There are also some museums and bonsai gardens where you can admire plants. Even a quick visit and some photos took over an hour, and the subway station near the entrance isn't open yet.
For families with children, exploring Chengdu city is a great option. You can learn about history and cultural figures while enjoying fresh air and towering trees, forest cafes, and tranquil surroundings.

I went in the summer, it wasn't too hot, very comfortable. If you know about the history of the Three Kingdoms, it's a great place to visit. I highly recommend it. What impressed me most was the rotten wood statue next to Liu Bei, representing his son; "Rotten wood cannot be carved."
What a peaceful way to start the morning. We entered the shrine at around 9am and its was still relatively quiet. It was way bigger than we thought so plenty to explore. Our favourite was the bonsai trees section

Tour guide has good service mind, lively, entertaining. Overall Wulong is amazing and well preserved nature. Worth to visit
Transportation is relatively convenient. You can join a day tour, take the high-speed rail to Wulong, and then take a bus or taxi to the visitor center. Driving is the most time-efficient option, as transferring from the high-speed rail to a bus requires waiting time. The attraction itself isn't particularly exciting; its main appeal is its park-like atmosphere, perfect for leisurely strolls and enjoying the natural oxygen bar. The location at the bottom of the sinkhole maintains a comfortable climate, mild in winter and cool in summer. However, the walking trails can get very hot in summer, and there are often queues when it's crowded. The ticket is valid for five days, which is quite convenient. Hopefully, future transportation connections will be even better, making it easier for independent travelers who don't drive.

Tickets are 24 yuan on Ctrip, 25 yuan on-site. The interior is very green, divided into different areas, with pandas, elephants, lions, tigers, deer, alpacas, various snakes, goldfish… I don't really like visiting zoos, I only came because my family does. The pandas were lying around and didn't seem to move much, and the elephants' poop was huge, hahaha 😄
This is a great place for a family trip, offering excellent value for money. If you don't have time to go to Chengdu to see giant pandas, you can see them here too – they're so cute! There are also many other animals, including monkeys, gorillas, hippos, giraffes, zebras, and much more. You definitely have to come! The park's scenery is also nice, and there's an amusement park, as well as some creative products, including giant panda and red panda souvenirs.

On my first trip to Sichuan, I headed straight to the Jinsha Site, highly recommended by a friend—less crowded, a better experience, and it holds the ancient Shu romance that shares the same lineage as Sanxingdui. Upon entering the park, the Sun Bird gold foil is a must-see. On the paper-thin gold sheet, four divine birds are depicted head to tail, their forms reflecting the light and shadow of three thousand years ago. The bronze tree fragments, with their intricate patterns, reveal the ancient Shu people's worship of heaven and earth. Tons of ivory and warm jade cong and zhang silently tell the story of the ancient Shu Kingdom's sacrificial traditions. These artifacts, though not crowded, use details to depict the brilliance of the ancient Shu civilization. A visit here feels both historically weighty and unhurried, perfect for a leisurely experience.
The Jinsha Site Museum is well worth a visit. The excavation site is spectacular and visually appealing, the museum environment is beautiful, public transportation is convenient, and the exhibits are abundant.

Chengdu's Wenshufang, located at No. 66 Wenshuyuan Street in Qingyang District, is a national AAAA-level open-air historical and cultural district built around the ancient Wenshuyuan Temple. Admission is free and the area is open 24 hours a day, though it's recommended to plan a three- to four-hour visit. The district's architectural style is inspired by traditional western Sichuan courtyards, with blue tiles, white walls, and carved eaves. This creates a unique "courtyard-style commercial street" feel, earning it the nickname "Chengdu's Double Embroidery"—the sound of Buddhist chants echoes within the red walls, while the bustling market life unfolds beyond. Wenshufang's core identity can be summarized as "Zen culture combined with traditional Chengdu folk customs." Within the district, there's a temple every 100 steps and a pagoda every 1,000 steps. In addition to Wenshuyuan Temple (built in the Sui Dynasty and inscribed by Emperor Kangxi), the district also preserves the remains of the "Nine Palaces and Eighteen Temples," including the Five Mountains Palace, Lengjia Nunnery, and Aido Hall. This area boasts the most concentrated religious and cultural heritage in Chengdu's old city. Building on this foundation, the neighborhood has incorporated elements such as the "Empty Forest Zen Road" market for Zen-inspired goods, the "Manjusri Blessed Land" cluster of protected courtyards, the "Folk Old Street" offering intangible cultural heritage crafts, the "Chengdu Salon" teahouse featuring antiques, calligraphy, and paintings, as well as the "Old Chengdu Food Court" and "Tianzi Food Hall." This all-in-one experience combines incense worship, Hanfu travel photography, gaiwan tea, Sichuan Opera face-changing, and century-old snacks (such as dragon wontons, Zhong dumplings, and Lai glutinous rice balls). The atmosphere is enhanced by the lighting of lanterns at night. Wenshufang is a free historical district offering the most concentrated and convenient experience of old Chengdu: burning incense, enjoying vegetarian food, drinking tea, watching opera, strolling the ancient streets, enjoying snacks, shopping for cultural products, and photographing Hanfu costumes. For a quick experience of slow living and the essence of Zen, simply add this area to your half-day itinerary.
Enjoy an authentic Sichuan opera performance at the Liyuan Guildhall while sipping large bowls of tea. The show consists of nine performances, and the finale, the face-changing, was the most memorable. The 70-minute performance was packed with action and highly recommended.
