Photogenic Buxian Bridge in Huangshan, stunning Grand Canyon, the details reveal true beauty!
At the end of November, my partner and I visited Huangshan. Our two-day trip was packed with surprises, a truly unforgettable experience!
The itinerary was well-planned: Day 1: We started at the upper station of the Yunggu Cableway, first visiting Shixin Peak to see the uniquely shaped pines and rocks. The monkey-gazing-the-sea formation was indeed incredibly lifelike. The highlight was the West Sea Grand Canyon. While the first and second loop trails were challenging, the scenery along the way—"towering peaks and cascading waterfalls"—was breathtaking, especially the perilous views from the second loop; every frame was a masterpiece of nature. Descending to the valley floor, we rode the popular miniature train, the dynamic beauty of gliding through the mountains unforgettable. Heading straight to the Baiyun Hotel for a rest was just the right time. Day 2: Climbing to the summit of Bright Peak for panoramic views, followed by the breathtaking Buxian Bridge – a hidden gem of a photo spot – this arched bridge suspended between cliffs, with the sheer drop and towering mountains as a backdrop, makes for stunning shots from every angle; no wonder it's described as "the most dazzling spot in the landscape." Finally, we visited the Welcoming Pine for a photo, then took the Jade Screen Cableway down. The pace was perfect, though my legs were incredibly tired. The walking sticks I used the next day proved invaluable.
I must commend the scenic area management: the mountain was spotless and tidy, with almost no litter. The staff's maintenance was truly excellent. The most moving sight was the porters (now often called "shoulder carriers"). Watching them struggle up the steep stone steps carrying hundreds of kilograms of weight, I understood that every bottle of water and every bite of food on the mountain represented blood and sweat. I couldn't help but step aside to let them pass, filled with admiration.
👉 My sincere recommendations:
• Photography enthusiasts should definitely not miss Buxian Bridge; a wide-angle lens can capture its rugged grandeur.
• The West Sea Grand Canyon is worth exploring in depth; even those with average stamina can experience the best sections.
• Please be sure to litter as little as possible to reduce the burden on the porters.
In November, Huangshan is ablaze with autumn colors, and with fewer crowds, the experience is truly exceptional.
