Maoshan in Jurong has beautiful scenery and is a natural oxygen bar. It's really nice. It's not far from home, just over an hour away, very convenient, and perfect for a holiday trip to Banwei.
Located southeast of Jurong City, Zhenjiang City, Jiangsu Province, the Maoshan Scenic Area is a national 5A-level tourist attraction, blending Taoist culture, revolutionary history, and natural beauty. A sacred site of Taoist culture, Maoshan is the birthplace of the Shangqing School of Taoism and has been an important ancestral home of Taoism since the Eastern Jin Dynasty. Temples such as the Jiuxiao Wanfu Palace (Ding Palace) and the Yuanfu Wanning Palace remain. Also a revolutionary base, the Maoshan New Fourth Army Memorial Hall and the Sunan Anti-Japanese War Victory Monument are located within the scenic area. With a forest coverage rate exceeding 96%, the area offers a natural oxygen bar, boasting natural attractions such as Nine Peaks, Nineteen Springs, Twenty-Six Caves, and Twenty-Eight Pools. Oriental Salt Lake City, a Taoist cultural resort about a 15-minute drive from the scenic area, is a unique destination in the Yangtze River Delta, offering a blend of culture and nature. Oriental Salt Lake City is a popular spot for afternoon visits, with evenings for night views and performances.

Half-day tour route: North Gate entrance - Qinhuai source - Intangible Cultural Heritage Market Culture Street - Qianlong Ancient Theater - Zuixiang - Baozhi Temple - Exit the scenic area. This route is suitable for tourists with tight schedules and can quickly check in the main attractions. One-day tour route: Visit Qianhua Ancient Village in the morning, check in the above main attractions, and experience folk activities; taste special food in the ancient village at noon; go to Baohua Mountain in the afternoon, climb the mountain to enjoy the natural scenery, visit Longchang Temple, and feel the Zen of the thousand-year-old temple.
It's a little far from the downtown area of Zhenjiang. It was originally very convenient to take the national highway, but it has been under maintenance, so it's slower to take the national highway auxiliary road: Navigation ~ Qianhua Ancient Village parking lot is outside the scenic area, just drive in ~ There is a parking lot next to the Qianhua Ancient Village scenic area, which is quite convenient, but the fee is 10 yuan, which is a bit expensive; our family has Shuiyun Card, which can be entered by swiping it. In fact, it is a newly built ancient town imitating the Qing Dynasty. Due to its remote location and no highlights, it is an ancient town and village that has failed in commercialization. Most of the shops are closed, but there are many wild cats; a few in the central area The three check-in spots were pretty good (6th, 7th, 10th photos), but there was nothing else to see. The only highlight was the performance at Changlefang. I was lucky enough to catch the 11:30 am show. The costumes and dances of the girls were good, especially the girl in the center (10th photo), who was the best dancer and pretty. The girl's acrobatics were also very nice, but the uncle made two mistakes when turning his hat. The magic at the end was also very exciting, and the girl's magic was amazing. Overall, there were no highlights, but the performance added a lot of points to the scenic spot.
