When you come to Jiangnan, you must use Jiangnan ingredients and cooking methods to cook the local flavor. As the saying goes, "live by the mountain, eat the mountain; live by the sea, eat the sea." Jiangnan water towns have been a land of fish and rice since ancient times. They are close to the water and are rich in fresh fish, mud snails and wild vegetables. These seemingly ordinary ingredients are made into delicious dishes by the hands of masters.
The restaurant is only 10 meters from the scenic area entrance. The owner was incredibly welcoming and generous. Because we arrived before 5:00 AM, the first wave of customers that evening, the owner turned on the air conditioning to prevent us from getting too hot. The food was also very delicious. The pig's trotters were particularly good, and you could order more rice. At the end, they even gave us a serving of sock-bottom pastry and two round fans!

The restaurant has a very elegant environment. The sweet and sour pork ribs are super delicious. The dishes are not bad. The service is good. I made an appointment with my friends to come again next time.
Forget the crowds! This hidden gem in Wuxi lets you instantly travel back to the Tang and Song dynasties, experiencing the dreamlike beauty of a fusion of Zen and technology. The moment I stepped into Nianhua Bay, I felt transported back to the bustling streets of the heyday of the Tang Dynasty. As night fell, thousands of Nianhua lanterns slowly rose, interweaving with the drone show in the night sky to create a breathtaking scene. This isn't Kyoto, but it possesses a richer Tang and Song Dynasty charm than Kyoto; this isn't a fairyland, but it offers a nightscape even more dreamy than a fairyland. Why choose Nianhua Bay? Nianhua Bay is nestled on the shores of Taihu Lake in Wuxi, with Lingshan Mountain at its back and Taihu Lake in front. This unique location allows it to absorb the spiritual energy of heaven and earth. The town is centered around "Zen," its name inspired by the legend of the Buddha smiling at a flower. Every brick, tile, flower, and tree exudes a rich Zen aesthetic. Most remarkable is its seamless blend of classical Zen and modern technology. During the day, it's a tranquil town steeped in the Tang and Song dynasties, transforming into a dreamlike world of light and shadow at night. Compared to other popular attractions that often see crowds during the National Day holiday, Nianhua Bay offers a more comfortable and engaging experience. How to get there most conveniently? Address: No. 68, Mashan Huanshan West Road, Binhu District, Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province. Public Transportation: After exiting Wuxi High-Speed Railway Station, walk approximately 200 meters to Wuxi Central Station. From there, take Leyou Line 2, which takes you directly to Nianhua Bay. Operating hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and the fare is 10 RMB per person. By car: Search for "Nianhua Bay Zen Town Parking Lot" on the navigation system. Take the G42 Shanghai-Chengdu Expressway heading towards Shanghai, the G42 Shanghai-Chengdu Expressway heading towards Nanjing, or the G25 Changshen Expressway heading towards Hangzhou. Parking fees range from 10 to 20 RMB per day. Must-see attraction: National Day Limited Edition [Wish with Flowers and Lanterns] (September 30th - October 8th) As night falls, a dazzling display of iron flower crafting, sky lanterns, drones, and fireworks blend together, with hundreds of sky lanterns simultaneously launching into the sky. This is a must-see experience during National Day, so we recommend finding a good spot for photos in advance. [AI Tower Technology Light and Shadow Show] This year marks the 10th anniversary, and the drone show has been specially upgraded with drone-mounted fireworks, creating a new, technologically advanced interpretation of the classic "Smile with Flowers" performance. [Gold Raffle] Scan the TV screen for a chance to win a Chow Tai Fook 10th Anniversary Limited Edition gold commemorative pendant. Don't miss out on such a treasure! Recommended Regular Tour Itinerary Daytime Route: Xiangyue Flower Street → Brahma Flower Sea → Nianhua Pagoda → Wudeng Lake → Yunmen Lawn → Smile Square → Luming Valley Night Performance Route: • 3:30 PM, Wudeng Lake Square: "Flowers in Bloom" • 4:00 PM, Main Street Entrance: "Admiring the Flowers" • 4:40 PM, Brahma Flower Sea: "Deer Playing Among Flowers" • 6:00 PM, Mid-Levels Sun: "Water Curtain Film" • 6:35 PM, Nihua Pagoda: "Tower Lighting Ceremony" • 7:30 PM, Smile Square: "Picking a Flower with a Smile" • 7:45 PM: "Flowers in Bloom" • 8:00 PM, Mid-Levels Sun: "Water Curtain Dance" Explore the Core Attractions Nihua Pagoda: As the town's iconic landmark, it's a perfect spot for photos and selfies. The evening lighting ceremony is particularly stunning, with a light show and ancient music performance that evokes a sense of the Tang Dynasty. The ceremony takes place every half hour from 6:30 PM to 8:20 PM. Brahma Flower Sea: Different flowers bloom in each season, with autumn marking the peak bloom period for cosmos and sunflowers. Photographing amidst the sea of flowers in Hanfu is breathtaking. Wudeng Lake: Enjoy the musical fountain during the day, and the "Flower Blooms Five Petals" light show at night, where lotus lanterns on the lake complement the dancing. Luming Valley: This hidden gem within the town, its bamboo forests, streams, and Tang Dynasty-style teahouses create a tranquil scene. It's worth noting that Luming Valley closes at 5:30 PM, so visiting during the day is recommended. Don't Miss the Zen Experience At Nianhua Bay, you can also experience Zen activities such as copying sutras, flower arrangement, and handmade sachets (some fees apply). Parents with children can also enjoy parent-child pottery and rubbing activities. Hanfu costumes can be rented within the scenic area for around 50-100 yuan per hour. Strolling along the bluestone paths in Hanfu will create truly stunning photos. Recommended Dining: Savor Zen and Jiangnan Flavors Zen Restaurant Paramita: Offers an exquisite vegetarian buffet priced at over 100 RMB per person, with exquisitely presented dishes resembling works of art. The "Lotus Pastry" is especially recommended. Nianhua Xishi: Savor authentic Wuxi soup dumplings, magnolia cakes, and Zen-inspired set meals at a great value. Lu Dexing Noodle House: Serves classic Suzhou-style noodle soups. Recommended dishes include the buttered noodles and fried eel paste. Experience the charm of traditional Jiangnan craftsmanship. Accommodation Guide: Live in the Scenery Accommodations Within the Scenic Area: • Nianhua Inn: Located in the heart of the scenic area, enjoy breathtaking views of Zen from the window. Scenic area entrance fee and shuttle bus included. • Paramita Hotel: The only hotel within the scenic area, offering comprehensive facilities and perfect for families. Accommodation Outside the scenic area: For a better value, we recommend Wuxi Guwan Inn, located near the Lingshan Giant Buddha and offering a tranquil setting. Prices are around 500 RMB. During peak season (such as National Day), it's recommended to book a room one month in advance. Accommodation within the scenic area ranges from 800 to 2,000 yuan per night. Practical Tips 1. Wear comfortable shoes: The town is primarily paved with bluestone, so walking is common. 2. Use the "Nianhua QR Code": The scenic area's mini-program provides access to a real-time map and performance schedule. 3. Bring mosquito repellent: Mosquitoes are more common in the summer, so prepare mosquito repellent spray in advance. 4. Nighttime is the highlight: We recommend staying at least one night to fully experience the night view and performances. 5. Best Seasons: Spring and autumn (March-May and September-November) offer pleasant weather and a sea of flowers in full bloom. The essence of Nianhua Bay lies in "slow travel" and "nighttime appreciation." Here, you can escape the hustle and bustle of the city and experience the healing power of "a day of Tang Dynasty style, a thousand years of Zen." The moment the Nianhua lanterns light up, all worries dissipate, leaving only a deep sense of peace and joy. #The most asked place in Moments #Ruge's Journey #Hanging out with friends

The set meal is very cost-effective, the boss is very enthusiastic, the four sisters had a very happy meal of 6 dishes, the ingredients are fresh, this is the best I have ever eaten, the most affordable group purchase meal, [Taste] Delicious [Environment] Clean [Service] Thoughtful
I was too lazy to look for it, so I just randomly chose it based on the recommendation from Ctrip. The lady boss was very enthusiastic, and the dishes tasted great. Except for the chicken being a bit salty, I was very satisfied, especially the Wansan pig's trotters and grandma's vegetables. I specially asked the boss to pack some to take back.

I had lunch in Zhouzhuang, at Hailong Restaurant, which is right by the river. I must try their Wansan pig's trotters, which are really delicious, with a unique sauce flavor. For green vegetables, I can try the grass head, which is very special. The fried snails are also great. The meal was not expensive, and the boss gave me a pack of cakes when I paid the bill, which was delicious!
We had lunch at Hailong Restaurant at noon on the second day of arriving in Zhouzhuang. In fact, the staff of the inn recommended this restaurant to us the day before. We were inevitably wary of such active recommendations and did not accept them. Besides, we had already planned to go to Louwailou. Later, we saw that the reviews of this restaurant were not bad, so we went there at noon the next day. The store owner was very enthusiastic and made a cup of grandma tea for each guest. Because we had eaten Wansan hoof and barbel the day before, the dishes we ordered were relatively simple. We ordered eel shreds (forgot to take pictures), three-flavor round soup, pepper and salt pork ribs, wine and vanilla head, sugar lotus root, grandma vegetable edamame, and chrysanthemum vegetable, all of which tasted good. The dishes were reasonably priced, clearly marked, the store owner's service was enthusiastic, and the dishes were served quickly. There are also discounted vouchers on Dianping.com. At Hailong Restaurant, we also saw barbel swimming in the fish tank (the last picture). The restaurant is in a good location, opposite the river of Zhangting, with shops on both sides of the alley. The view on the river side is good, and you can see the river view and Zhangting from the window.

According to the hotel front desk, this is the only state-owned restaurant in the scenic area. In fact, the food in every restaurant in Zhouzhuang is similar, and the state-owned ones sound more reliable. The small portion of Wansan pig's trotter is really good. The pig's trotter is fat and complete, and the appearance is good. The taste is also very tasty and very soft. The snail stuffed meat is fresh and delicious. The snails are chopped and mixed with minced meat to add more taste layers. The leek snail head is very fragrant, slightly spicy, and slightly salty. The service is average, but the store is clean and spacious.
Environment: The houses in the water town are all small. This is a relatively large restaurant in Zhouzhuang Ancient Town. The decoration is quite standard. It is good to have a private room in the small house in the water town. In October, the weather gradually turns cooler. Of course, you have to eat Zhouzhuang's special food when you go to Zhouzhuang. The most famous Zhouzhuang dish is Wansan Pig's Hoof. In addition, Fried Eel Shreds, Three-flavor Round Chicken Soup, Grandma's Vegetables, and White Silk Fish are all local specialties. It sounds like a lot of high-calorie foods, but shouldn't we supplement in autumn? I don't like eating, so I also tasted the local specialty noodles - Aozao Noodles. Like the dishes, it is also a red soup with thick red sauce. The noodles are very thin and taste good.

1. It turns out that there are many branches in Jiangsu. The first one I went to was in Luzhi Scenic Area, which is actually about 15 minutes walk from the scenic area. 2. The restaurant is three or four floors, and there are not many seats, but it should be considered large in the area. 3. The food tastes pretty good
This restaurant is very close to my home, and my family often eats here. There are not too many types of dishes, but they taste pretty good. They are local farm dishes that are quite tasty. Business is good, the waiters are very busy, and the overall service is average.
