When you come to Jiangnan, you must use Jiangnan ingredients and cooking methods to cook the local flavor. As the saying goes, "live by the mountain, eat the mountain; live by the sea, eat the sea." Jiangnan water towns have been a land of fish and rice since ancient times. They are close to the water and are rich in fresh fish, mud snails and wild vegetables. These seemingly ordinary ingredients are made into delicious dishes by the hands of masters.
The restaurant is only 10 meters from the scenic area entrance.
The owner was incredibly welcoming and generous.
Because we arrived before 5:00 AM, the first wave of customers that evening, the owner turned on the air conditioning to prevent us from getting too hot.
The food was also very delicious. The pig's trotters were particularly good, and you could order more rice.
At the end, they even gave us a serving of sock-bottom pastry and two round fans!

By car: Search for "Nianhua Bay Zen Town Parking Lot" on the navigation system. Take the G42 Shanghai-Chengdu Expressway heading towards Shanghai, the G42 Shanghai-Chengdu Expressway heading towards Nanjing, or the G25 Changshen Expressway heading towards Hangzhou. I had lunch in Zhouzhuang, at Hailong Restaurant, which is right by the river. I must try their Wansan pig's trotters, which are really delicious, with a unique sauce flavor. For green vegetables, I can try the grass head, which is very special. The fried snails are also great. The meal was not expensive, and the boss gave me a pack of cakes when I paid the bill, which was delicious!
We had lunch at Hailong Restaurant at noon on the second day of arriving in Zhouzhuang. In fact, the staff of the inn recommended this restaurant to us the day before. We were inevitably wary of such active recommendations and did not accept them. Besides, we had already planned to go to Louwailou. Later, we saw that the reviews of this restaurant were not bad, so we went there at noon the next day. The store owner was very enthusiastic and made a cup of grandma tea for each guest. Because we had eaten Wansan hoof and barbel the day before, the dishes we ordered were relatively simple. We ordered eel shreds (forgot to take pictures), three-flavor round soup, pepper and salt pork ribs, wine and vanilla head, sugar lotus root, grandma vegetable edamame, and chrysanthemum vegetable, all of which tasted good.
