Service was slow at first, we were left alone for 15 minutes, then after a few attempts finally got their attention and ordered drinks. The lady who cooked at the table was delightful and excellent. The beef was excellent. Overall a bit plain and expensive place for what was on offer. In good weather you can sit out back on the terrace and enjoy your meal.
A restaurant with a high rating on Ctrip. [Location] At the intersection of Kamogawa and Sanjo. Don't follow the Google map, it will make you walk to the riverside under the bridge and you can't find the place. The correct way to enter is: enter from an east-west alley on a street on the west side parallel to the Kamogawa, and enter from the back of the row of restaurants facing the Kamogawa! [Environment] The dining environment is great, all Japanese-style private rooms. Our room is not facing the Kamogawa, but there is a small Japanese courtyard outside the room, which is very delicate and the children like it very much. [Dishes and tastes] All are set meals. The more expensive the price, the better the meat. There are three ways to cook: Sukiyaki, hot pot, and barbecue. We ate Sukiyaki. Unlike Sukiyaki, Sukiyaki is to put the ingredients in the pot and cook them, only adding a little seasoning, without adding water. There is an old aunt on the side to help you process and serve you. Wagyu is really good, it melts in your mouth, and the children ate a lot. [Price] The price is a bit expensive. In addition to the 8% consumption tax, there is also a 10% service charge. We later found that the service charge was written in small print on the large menu, but it was not written on the single-page menu recommended to me by the Chinese waiter, and the waiter did not mention it when introducing it, which resulted in a long negotiation at the checkout.

Authentic Japanese cuisine and elegant traditional environment but not too fresh, service is OK but not up to Michelin standards in Europe and America. After eating, I always feel that it is not worth it.
Alaska snow crab, one crab, three ways to eat: 1. Steamed egg with crab roe. 2. Crab legs as sashimi. 3. Steamed the rest. This is my favorite way to eat it. The freshness of the ingredients determines whether it tastes delicious. So this Japanese restaurant is still very good!

Top-notch Japanese teppanyaki, unparalleled scenery, and just the right service are really worth it! For YASAKA, I can fly to Kyoto again just to have a meal at YASAKA. You can make an online reservation in advance. The chef and waiter speak English very well. During the meal, the chef will introduce the ingredients, condiments, and recommended dipping sauces for each dish to you. By the way, you can chat about traveling, so you won’t be lonely. The sommelier will also remind you to take a photo of the wine bottle so that you know which one you like.
The view is impeccable, overlooking the Yasaka Pagoda. It's best to book a time slot between 5pm and 6pm so you can watch the sunset while dining. Every detail of the restaurant is very thoughtful and you can tell the chefs take pride in their work.

Noodle House Ichi, I didn't get to eat Ichi last time I came to Kyoto. I confirmed the time with the clerk at the door when I arrived, and then came back at the time the clerk said. Ichi Beer Craft beer, refreshing and delicious Wagyu Roasted Wagyu Ramen, dark soy sauce soup base, slightly sweet Pork Ramen Pork Ramen, white soup base, the bonito flower flavor covers the original flavor of the soup base. Runny-boiled egg The runny-boiled egg is added by half a family Both soup bases are good, I think the white soup base is better Scallop Tofu Rice It says Hokkaido scallops, scallops and tofu rice go well together, the best of the place.
I went there in 2019. I saw this restaurant on the review and went there because it had good reviews. I went there at 11:30 and people started queuing. In Japan, you have to queue everywhere. Actually, I have forgotten what it tastes like, but it should be very good, and the soup is clear. The restaurant is in a small alley, not on the main street.

We decided to have unagi for lunch and this restaurant is the best place to have it. Remember there are no traditional tables with chairs, it's a Japanese restaurant so after 10 minutes we felt very uncomfortable. The waiter didn't speak English
After enjoying the beautiful scenery, I went to the gion uokeya U restaurant with my friends for dinner. The eel rice here is really famous in Kyoto. The big eel looks so appetizing.

☕️American specialty coffee blue bottle, the leader in the coffee industry ☕️My favorite coffee after %~~ 🤍💛【Brand Introduction】Blue bottle was founded in 2002 and is headquartered in California. Being called the Apple of the coffee industry shows its status and influence in the coffee industry. Entering the Asian market in 2015, the first stop was Tokyo. After that, many stores were opened in the Kansai region. There are many cups and decorations around. If you like the minimalist style, I recommend taking a look [smirk] [snicker] 🤍💛This coffee shop in Kyoto was renovated from a century-old machiya house. The perfect collision of modern coffee culture and century-old machiya house. 🤍💛Tips: 【Recommended menu】 Latte / Mocha There are many people on weekends and there are not many seats. The space is crowded. It is recommended to go early or on weekdays~ Address: 〒606-8437 64 Kusakawa-cho, Nanzenji, Sakyo-ku, Kyoto-shi, Kyoto Prefecture Seats: 44 seats Opening hours 9:00~18:00
The Blue Bottle Coffee in Nanchan Temple The main attraction is the beautiful environment I was a little reluctant to leave after breakfast at Piaoting, so I came here for another brunch The building is the highlight, It is indeed the most beautiful of the several Blue Bottle Coffees I have been to 🧇Waffles Very ordinary waffles, the eggplant inside is not bad, you don’t need to order it ☕️Iced Americano Iced Americano is not bad

[Taste] Tender. The fried wagyu beef is still tender but not greasy. You can choose how done it is, I like it a little raw, and you can also ask for some free lettuce on the side, which will be more delicious. [Service] OK, they are indeed more humble due to their culture.
This is a rare steakhouse restaurant among the many restaurants in Pontocho. The set meal is quite affordable, and a set of steak comes with a variety of dipping sauces and ways of eating. The staff is also very welcoming to foreign customers, so I recommend everyone to come and eat.

This is the highest rated bar in Kyoto on Food Log, and BEE'S KNEES also recommended it to me. Although it is in the bustling Kawaramachi, it is on a dark alley with two doors. There is a rocking chair-shaped object next to the second door. You have to rock it before someone will pick you up. There is a small seasonal wine menu, introducing some wines made from fresh fruits or plants, and indicating that you can order according to your preferences. There are many types of food, and even desserts. I ordered a glass of lime gimlet first. The bartender repeatedly confirmed with me whether the alcohol capacity is okay? Can it be made lighter? I stubbornly refused! The fresh fragrance of lime and the taste of wine rushed up when I took a sip, which was strong and delicious. The second glass was a cocktail made with fresh basil leaves and crushed ice like a mojito. The taste is really what I like, but the crushed ice didn't give me a straw, which I really... After I asked for the third glass, he recommended the wine made from Ain grapes. What a coincidence that I also used it in the last glass of bee's knees. This little liqueur must taste good. But there is no garnish, and it is made into a smoothie without a straw!
Although this bar doesn't accept reservations, if you're lucky enough to find a seat, it's the perfect place to experience Japanese cocktails with a Western atmosphere!
