The Wujiawan Tourist Area is located in Magedang Township, Lingchuan County, Jincheng City, Shanxi Province, at the border of Shanxi and Henan Provinces. Surrounding the area are scenic spots such as Wangmangling, Huangwei Mountain, and Phoenix Happy Valley. The scenic area features a unique blend of mountain, water, and village, earning it the nickname "Taihang Jiangnan." The overall plan encompasses wellness retreats, sports, and leisure activities. The planned three-phase construction includes a total investment of 1 billion yuan. Phase I will invest 200 million yuan in tourism facilities and infrastructure, including a visitor reception center, a lakeside island, a CS field camp, water rafting, and a rural (mountain) boutique resort hotel. In 2012, Lingchuan County Changding Tourism and Leisure Resort Co., Ltd. initiated development of the scenic area, planning to invest 150 million yuan in projects such as the south gate and a boutique hotel. On August 20, 2025, torrential rains caused flooding from an upstream reservoir, prompting the evacuation of visitors and temporary closure of the scenic area. Vehicle restrictions were also implemented on surrounding roads. Designated a key project in Lingchuan County, the scenic area is connected to surrounding tourist resources via the "Taihang No. 1" National Scenic Byway.
