It’s a very big national park, well managed and maintain, the facilities are the best for such big parks, very clean, beautiful lakes and waterfall around the area, must spend whole day to visit all areas.
The weather was fantastic the day I went; even the driver said it was the best weather of the day, with perfect scenery. All 41,000 tickets were sold out that day, and the scenic area was incredibly crowded. However, the景区 (scenic area management) was excellent; despite being packed, the transportation was smooth, with only a one or two bus wait. The restaurants in the scenic area weren't as expensive as I'd heard; you could easily eat at the Nuorilang Restaurant. There were many lunch options: a pancake for 20 yuan, a scallion pancake for 10 yuan, and plenty of fried noodles and fried rice for around 20-30 yuan a serving. Arriving at the main entrance at 9:20 AM, it was still extremely congested with long queues. I recommend going up the stairs on the left to the second floor to queue; the wait time is much shorter than at the first-floor entrance. It's advisable to leave the scenic area early in the afternoon to avoid the peak hours. Also, Jiuzhaigou is located in a valley, and after 4:30 PM the sun sets, making the valley quite dark and unsuitable for photos; it's better to leave early.

Tibetan culture is poorly understood, and is often misunderstood or misinterpreted. Misunderstandings include the belief that Tibet is backward and isolated from the world, unable to communicate or even have the possibility of coexisting and developing together. Misinterpretations include the belief that Tibet is behind human progress and seems isolated from the world. In fact, if we set aside our subjective assumptions and try to understand and get closer to it, we may find that there are still many attractive aspects to it.
The museum is impressive and well worth a visit. It's large in scale, rich in content, and full of unique features, making it a rare base for cultural dissemination and inheritance. The weather is cool and the environment is beautiful. It's a must-see attraction when visiting Qinghai.

If you're driving to Kumbum Monastery, you can directly reach the East Gate, avoiding the 10-kilometer sightseeing bus within the scenic area. After booking tickets online, you'll need to exchange them for paper tickets. The monastery itself is very beautiful and worth exploring at your leisure.
"First came the pagoda, then the temple." Master Tsongkhapa also said, "Your only task is to be a happy person." May everyone become a happy person!

After a whirlwind trip, we arrived at the 5A-level scenic area to experience the wonders of nature. Below the hundred-meter-high sand dunes, the Yellow River surges ceaselessly, while above, the desert iron dragon roars past. The vast Tengger Desert and the azure sky—this picture inspire endless imagination! The environment is clean and beautiful, and the restrooms are odorless!
Different seasons, different moods. Winter in Shapotou is serene and peaceful. The Yellow River is like a mirror, and the desert is unusually quiet. It has a unique landscape and a different feeling. The environment is clean and hygienic, and the toilets are odorless!

The scenery was so beautiful that we kept taking photos and lost track of time. Around 6 pm, we got off at the "Daydream Cinema," but there were no more buses or minibuses, and no staff members were around. No one had reminded us of the last shuttle bus time, so the two of us had to walk to the visitor center, about 4.5 kilometers away. The wind was strong, the temperature was -1.5 degrees Celsius, and it got dark quickly. The further we walked, the more scared we became. We tried calling the scenic area, but no one answered. Finally, we called 110 (the police emergency number) and asked them to contact the scenic area staff. After hanging up, a Li Auto electric scooter passed by, and the driver stopped and readily gave us a ride to the parking lot. We chatted along the way, and the driver said he was from the Space Capsule Hotel. His surname was Wang; he was probably the owner or manager. We were extremely grateful to him and will definitely stay there again next time! The first photo was taken on the way to the visitor center.
Key viewing platforms: Nine-Colored Danxia (360° panoramic view of the colorful hills, best spot for drone aerial photography), Danxia Peak Scenic View (climb the 2550-meter Danxia boardwalk to the highest point and experience the awe-inspiring "mountains like sea waves and rocks like whales"), and Silk Road Sunset (capture the epic scene of "the setting sun over the long river" at dusk, with Danxia and the Yellow River in the same frame).

The Erlangjian Scenic Area of Qinghai Lake is located on the southern shore of Qinghai Lake. Flowers abound in the area, creating a vibrant display of color. The Erlangjian Peninsula is accessible by speedboat. The waters of the peninsula are even bluer and clearer, lapping against the shore, and seagulls play in the blue sky and on the lakeside, creating a true paradise on earth.
We signed up for a one-day tour of Laji Mountain, Sun Moon Mountain, and Qinghai Lake. The scenery at these attractions was absolutely stunning. Our driver, Master Zhang, was incredibly skilled. He explained the various attractions along the way and explained the best routes to each area beforehand. He also gave us ample time to explore and take photos at each location. Great!

A perfect day. We saw snowscapes, sunrises, snow-capped mountains, and the deep blue Qinghai Lake. Thanks to Mr. Ye's professional driving skills and equipment (A87256), the snow chains, his advance warning about lightning protection at scenic spots, his sharing of interesting stories and hidden attractions, and his help in finding wildlife to see – a very satisfying day trip. I definitely want to come back to beautiful Xining again next time.
Qinghai Lake truly lives up to its name as the "Sapphire of the Plateau." The boundless blue lake merges seamlessly with the sky, offering breathtaking scenery in every season—in summer, thousands of acres of rapeseed flowers create a golden sea of blossoms; in winter, the frozen lake surface shimmers with a clear blue hue; and the sunrise over Heimahe transforms the lake into a golden hue, a truly awe-inspiring sight. Driving along the lakeside road, cattle and sheep graze, prayer flags flutter against the distant mountains, creating a scene of tranquil yet magnificent ecology. While some areas are somewhat commercialized, avoiding the crowds and finding a less-traveled viewpoint allows for an immersive experience of the unique vastness and romance of Northwest China, making it absolutely worth the trip. However, due to the season, many facilities are closed, resulting in a less-than-ideal experience. If you've already visited Sayram Lake in Xinjiang, I personally feel this area can be skipped.

It was so much fun…a really fun and interesting zoo. The only downside was that I didn't get to see "Teacher Xiao Liang." Apparently, Tibetan foxes aren't on display anymore because they're afraid of people…
We went to see the "Four Silly Animals of the Plateau," but only saw a small snow leopard and a sleeping lynx. We didn't see the others, but the other animals were also quite nice and very well cared for. The Xining Wildlife Park is definitely worth a visit!

The Qinghai-Tibet border landscape is breathtaking, the fluttering prayer flags create a wonderful atmosphere, and the legend of Princess Wencheng adds to the charm! A must-see for anyone passing through, the scenery is magnificent, the Tibetan culture is rich, and the price is great!
Since ancient times, Sun and Moon Mountain has been a crucial mountain pass along the Qinghai Road of the Silk Road, the Tang-Tibet Road, and the Tea-Horse Road. Legend has it that Princess Wencheng, while traveling through this area on her marriage to Tubo, cast aside the Sun and Moon Mirror to overcome her homesickness, hence the name Sun and Moon Mountain. This area also marked the boundary between the Tang and Tubo regions, and was the site of important historical events such as the Chiling Trade. The scenic area boasts attractions such as the Sun Pavilion, the Moon Pavilion, the statue of Princess Wencheng, the Princess Spring, and the Tang-Tibet Road. The area also houses cultural venues such as the Qinghai Ancient Road Museum and the Princess Wencheng Memorial Hall, enriching its history and culture.

If you have plenty of time and energy, you can skip the ladder and just climb it. I'm a complete newbie, haha. I arrived after 5 PM and headed straight to the viewing platform for photos. The scenic area is actually quite large, so you can walk around and take a stroll. A few other little-known facts: the ladder changes direction around 8 PM and you can descend; it gets very windy and cold at the viewing platform in the evening, so wear warm clothes; flying a drone with a wide-angle lens gives you a chance to capture the sunset and moon in the same frame.
It's worth mentioning that we met a wonderful shuttle bus driver. He saw a beautiful view along the way and stopped for two minutes to let us take photos, even though it wasn't a designated stop. He even complimented us, calling us fairies – the emotional value he showed was incredibly high! The scenery in the scenic area was beautiful, and it would be even more stunning on a clear day. Aside from the accommodation area being a bit commercialized, everything else was perfect.
