The Taihang Mountains are worth a visit. Distinguished from other mountains and rivers, the layers of quartz sandstone are multicolored, both beautiful and practical. Locals use the stones to build their houses. It's a well-established tourist attraction, suitable for a one- or two-day trip, depending on your stamina. If you plan a two-day trip, I recommend starting with a pure hike to Wangxiangyan and then taking a leisurely stroll through Peach Blossom Valley on the second day. Taking the sightseeing bus for the entire Taihang Sky Road is less tiring.
The tour includes three scenic spots: Peach Blossom Valley, Taihang Sky Road, and Wangxiangyan. Peach Blossom Valley is cooler and offers water activities. The entire Taihang Sky Road is a bus ride, with stops at each viewing platform to check in and take photos. Those with motion sickness should beware, as the road winds a lot. Wangxiangyan is a hike, so those with less stamina should beware. We spent one day visiting Peach Blossom Valley, the Taihang Sky Road, and Wangxiangyan. A full day would take two days.
