Self-driving on Highway 1 is an important way to travel in the western United States/California, especially the 17 Mile Drive, a coastal section near Monterey County, which is the best and easiest part of the self-driving tour.
There are more than a dozen scenic spots on a section of the road, and they are all clearly marked. You can prepare a map or just drive all the way down. Along the way, there are not only natural landscapes (such as the surging Relentless Sea), magical animal parks (such as Bird Rock and Seal Rock), but also relics of the ancestors who ventured into the West (China Rock), and you can play with stones (in Spanish Bay)... Although you drive along the coast all the time, the scenery in each place is not the same.
It takes 4 or 5 hours to stop and go throughout the journey. There are not many restaurants along the way, so it is best for everyone to bring their own dry food.
