A moment of eternal love, encountering the Shuangqiaogou Valley of Mount Siguniang
I declare! Shuangqiaogou is, in my opinion, the pinnacle of beauty in western Sichuan. 💯
🚗Transportation:
I drove from Chengdu, a journey of about four hours. The scenery along the way was breathtaking, like a visual feast that kicked off early. If you prefer not to drive, there are many convenient tour buses and direct buses available.
🎫Tickets and Itinerary:
The entrance fee plus the sightseeing bus ticket is 150 yuan, a fantastic value. 👍 After entering the scenic area, take a sightseeing bus directly to the Redwood Forest, the highest point in the area, at 3,840 meters above sea level. If you're worried about altitude sickness, you can bring some oxygen in advance, but most people can easily adapt. Starting from the Redwood Forest, follow the sightseeing bus stops along the way. Each stop offers unique scenery, so there's no need to worry about aesthetic fatigue.
🌄Attractions:
The Redwood Forest resembles a mysterious primeval forest, with sunlight filtering through the branches and leaves, creating dappled light and shadows. Taking photos here is incredibly atmospheric. The snack street is a bit commercialized, so a quick stroll is recommended.
The road leading to Potala Peak Station is absolutely photogenic. The white pagoda, fluttering prayer flags, and the snow-capped mountains in the distance create stunning images.
Dzhuganacuo is a must-see! A 20-minute hike along the stream leads to the lake, where the snow-capped mountains and forests are reflected in the mirror-like surface, a breathtaking sight.
Rafting at Nianyuba is a must-try! For 90 yuan per person, the 30-minute journey takes you on a rubber boat, gently drifting down the clear stream, surrounded by rolling snow-capped mountains and lush forests. It feels like stepping into a fairytale.
Rensheng Guoping offers breathtaking views. The vast meadows are dotted with wildflowers, and yaks graze leisurely, creating a truly relaxing experience.
🍜Food:
The small town outside the scenic area is filled with delicious food. The yak beef hot pot is a must-try. The savory broth and tender beef warm your whole body with just one bite. The barley cakes are also crispy and delicious, with a subtle wheat aroma.
❗Notes:
1. Take good sun protection measures. The plateau's UV rays are no joke. Sunglasses, sunscreen, and a sun hat are essential.
2. The sightseeing bus drives a bit fast, so if you're prone to motion sickness, bring some motion sickness medicine.
3. Although the altitude isn't particularly high, avoid strenuous exercise. Take your time and savor the tranquility and beauty.
This trip to Shuangqiaogou is truly a highlight on my travel bucket list. Every scene feels like a work of art meticulously crafted by nature, and I deeply felt the unique charm of western Sichuan. If you're craving a romantic encounter with nature, then Shuangqiaogou is the place to be. I'm sure you'll love it. 💕
