It was my first time in Nagoya, and everyone said that the eel rice in this restaurant was a must-try. This time I arrived just before the last order, so I was able to dine without waiting in line. Although the price was a bit expensive, it was always a must to try the delicious food that everyone talked about when I first arrived in Nagoya.
I often heard people talk about the three ways to eat eel before, and I found it nearby. And since I love eel so much, of course I had to go there. It tasted very delicious, the fish meat was fat, tender and fragrant, but the seasoning seemed a bit heavy.

Once we were seated, our food was served in no time. This is easily one of the best restaurants (if not the best) and the unagi and grilled eel were the best we have ever had. The fact that the restaurant is not centrally located and only serves eel and nothing else, and still had a queue, even in the cold and rainy weather, speaks volumes about how good this restaurant is.
Unafuji is a high-end seafood restaurant in Nagoya. The seafood here is made of the freshest ingredients and has been selected into the list of selected restaurants by Ctrip Gourmet in 2019.

Haruki: It’s been a long time since you came to Maruya. Me: Don’t I come every week? Haruki: I mean - other than taking the cake to the store to be cut, or buying Yunnan pickles in a group and making an appointment to share the spoils in the store. Me: It doesn’t have to be so harsh. Haruki: We are going to serve new dishes, you know, come and try them. Me: Got it, I’m missing Instagram promotional photos. I bring my own camera, take photos and retouch them myself, and pay for them myself. Haruki: It doesn’t have to be so unpleasant. Eat new dishes! ! Enomoto: This is the soft and glutinous cheek meat, this is the beef tongue that has been matured for thirty days, this is the small chicken drumstick that is used to make up for the meal, and this is the soup stock on top, this is broad beans, potatoes, onions, carrots, kohlrabi, zucchini, broccoli… Me: I don’t know how big a game you gave me. Haruki: Meat won’t even close your mouth. Eat the boiled vegetables you want. The boiled vegetables are delicious, with the taste of fresh and sweet clear soup. Kohlrabi, fragrant and fragrant. Sweet onions, fragrant and fragrant. Zucchini, fragrant. I ate this plate of spring. The cheek meat is soft and waxy, full of gelatin, and it feels like eating a big mouthful of meat. Beef tongue is neither soft nor crispy. It has a very elastic texture after cooking, which is valuable! A few chicken drumsticks. Haruki: How about it. Me: Don’t put this, the price will drop. Chunshu rubbed his hands: What do you think is the appropriate price? Me: I’m willing to give you 3,500 yen. Haruki: Then! So expensive! ! Hey Enomoto, did you hear that? She is willing to give 3500! Enomoto: Then! So expensive! ! After that, we will charge her 3,500! Me: ...You two are so worthless. I also want broad bean pasta, 40g. The broad bean pasta is as good as ever. Roasted broad beans, whitebait, and cherry tomatoes. In spring, there are bamboo shoots, fluorescent squid, and mullet roe. It's moist, refreshing, seasonal pasta that I took time to think about. The most valuable thing about Haruki (or chef) is his willingness to think. Haruki: I heard that you recommend spicy stir-fried eggplant pasta to others every day, which made me fry the eggplant until my hand broke, so I ended up eating boiled vegetables and broad bean pasta. Me: ...That’s different. If I have a meal once in a while, I choose roast beef with eggplant pasta and tiramisu. Who eats this every day?
Maruya Main Store (Meitetsu Store), go in and find out The three ways of eating eel that you must try in Nagoya. I originally wanted to go to the popular Horaiken, but I chose this one because it was too troublesome. It is right next to Nagoya Station and ranked first on TripAdvisor. I waited for an hour, but it was worth it!

This izakaya is amazing. Although there is no Chinese menu, I was able to order very smoothly with some simple gestures. The signature grilled crab shells are so delicious that they opened my eyes. I also highly recommend the Sukiyaki pot.
This restaurant called "Shimasho" is a very famous izakaya in Nagoya. Most of the people who dine here are locals. It is a restaurant with a very family atmosphere.

This is a local izakaya with a lively atmosphere. Many local white-collar workers come here to hang out after get off work. We also experienced this kind of life, ordering some of their more famous fried foods and toriyaki, eating while chatting with friends, it felt very comfortable and cozy.
Sumibi Yakiniku Gyu-bei is an izakaya. The storefront is a bit inconspicuous. If my friend hadn’t brought me here, I would never have been able to find this store.

It's really good. I saw it here, and then I went upstairs to queue up. After I got the number, there were 156 tables in front of me, so I went shopping downstairs first, walked around, refunded the tax, and then came back to queue up, and then I arrived. The sushi is really delicious. The chef is also very enthusiastic. He asked me, Omaka sei? I didn't react for a while. Later he said OK OK no problem. Then I ordered the seasonal full set he recommended. I was really full after eating it. I drank a beer and ate a garlic conch. The total consumption was 5500 yen. It's very worthwhile and very delicious. I recommend it to everyone.
This is an all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant located in the center of Nagoya. The so-called "all-you-can-eat" actually means "self-service" with a time limit of 90 minutes. In addition to various types of sushi, there are other dishes to choose from.

When you come to Japan, you must eat Japanese beef. Among Japanese beef, Takayama Hida beef is one of the types that I think is very delicious. I have eaten it twice in Takayama and was deeply impressed. Eating beef in Japan is very cost-effective.
It's a private restaurant, the staff is very professional, and most importantly, the beef is delicious! It melted in my mouth and I didn't even notice it. Beef isn't cheap, but it's definitely worth it. Whenever you eat here, you must choose Hida beef, it is the most delicious.

The eel rice is really delicious. My husband ordered the eel three-course meal, and I ordered the ordinary eel rice. The more expensive eel three-course meal really has its reason. Each cut eel is crispy. You won’t be able to eat this in Hong Kong. Adding soup gives it a different flavor. The environment is very comfortable. There are dining tables and seating options. You must try it when you come to Nagoya.
Compared to popular stores like Penglaixuan, not many people know about this store, but I think the eel rice here is also very delicious. It also has three ways of eating eel, and the price is much cheaper than that of the popular online stores.

It was almost 2pm when we arrived at the restaurant. There were many people waiting outside the restaurant, but we got a seat soon! From the kitchen window outside the restaurant, we could see the chef grilling eels, which attracted many people to watch. The food was really good, the eels were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and the taste was irresistible.
How can you go to Nagoya and not eat eel rice? There was no queue at this restaurant. The wooden structure is very Japanese style. I went in excitedly. The taste was really great. The eels are said to be grilled on the spot. They are very fresh and tasty. The sauce is also unique! And there are quite a lot of eel pieces in a serving of rice. Great!
