Elegant dining environment, full of surprise dishes. Beautiful scenery, delicious food, and good wine. Nothing is missing! I avoided the most popular steak and hamburger restaurant recommended by an app. I went to a restaurant that the locals praised highly. Jervois steak house. Medium rare steak and raw oysters [doge]. It turns out that they are delicious like this.
We also loved the atmosphere and friendly service. We stayed at the Sofitel and it was very convenient to get there, right outside the elevator. We loved the way the meat was grilled, very tender, and the mashed potatoes were delicious.

As it got dark early in the winter we were unable to see the beautiful scenery but we still had a beautiful view of Queenstown at night. The service was excellent. The food was as described and we highly recommend the delicious venison

Arriving at the hotel, the first thing that catches your eye is its superior geographical location. It is not far from the city center, but you can enjoy the tranquil beauty of Lake Wakatipu. The lobby is located on the 4th floor. When you check in, you can enjoy the lake and mountains, and the fatigue of the journey is instantly swept away.
I booked the Alpine Suite and made a special note that I hope to upgrade to a lake view room.
