Located in Lyon, France, Parc de la Tête d'Or was opened in 1857 and covers an area of 117 hectares. It is a city park in Lyon and one of the largest and most beautiful parks in France. The name "Tête d'Or" comes from the legend that a golden head of Jesus Christ was buried here. The park was designed by Denis and Eugène Buller and is truly the "Lungs of Lyon".
It is a very beautiful park with a very large lawn and many small animals. The French like to lie on the grass in the park to bask in the sun. There are many cute children running and playing on the lawn.
