The summit reaches an elevation of 2,721 meters, and this vast subalpine meadow covers approximately 6,000 mu (approximately 1,000 acres). In spring and summer, the grasslands are covered in verdant grass and dotted with wildflowers, while in autumn and winter, rime and ice can be seen hanging from the ground, or blanketed in snow. The ruins of the Northern Qi Great Wall also traverse this area, creating a fascinating juxtaposition of history and nature.
During the holiday, we arrived at Luya Mountain in about 2.5 hours from Taiyuan.
Seasonal Activities: We visited a free attraction. The villages surrounding Luya Mountain are all alpine meadows, with beautiful scenery and herds of cattle and sheep. It was a very pleasant experience.
Route P: We recommend Damiao Village and Houmalun Village, which you'll pass by on the way to the Malen Grassland. It's a bit cold now, so wear a jacket.

The autumn scenery of Jinci Temple is beautiful. I came to see the three treasures of Jinci Temple, but I didn't expect to see the most beautiful autumn scenery of Jinci Temple. The plaques inside are very nice, and the characters are vigorous and powerful.
Jinci Temple, as the oldest existing royal sacrificial garden in China, boasts ancient buildings and thousand-year-old cypress trees, showcasing a unique northern garden charm. The Song Dynasty painted clay statues of maidens in the Holy Mother Hall are a masterpiece, and the ingenious structure of the Fish Pond Flying Bridge is a unique example of ancient bridge architecture. The Zhou Cypress and Tang Locust Tree, along with the Nanlao Spring, constitute the "Three Wonders of Jinci," and a stroll through the temple grounds allows one to feel a rich historical atmosphere.
It is recommended to visit on a weekday morning to avoid peak tour group crowds and enjoy the interplay of light and shadow on the ancient buildings. The scenic area is quite large, so comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Remember to bring sun protection in summer and warm clothing in winter. For visitors interested in history and culture, it is recommended to learn about the relevant background information beforehand or rent an audio guide (20 yuan/time), which can greatly enhance the depth of the visit.

The scenery is picturesque, and the air is exceptionally fresh! A great weekend getaway for families, it's not far from downtown Taiyuan. From the GreenTree Inn near the Affiliated Hospital of the University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, drive south along Jinci Road for 40 minutes. It's incredibly convenient. Bring some snacks if you want to fully explore the area, but there's hot water, instant noodles, and a restaurant at the top. It's fantastic!
I took a taxi to Tianlongshan Grottoes in a hurry, but was stopped 3 kilometers away from the scenic area. I was told that the scenic area was closed due to freezing. I had to go to Longshan Grottoes instead. To my surprise, there was almost no one there. It was really the quietest place to check in during the Spring Festival.

Online ticket booking is convenient and offers a 5 yuan discount. However, for a tourist attraction, 90 yuan is still quite expensive, especially considering it only features one geological feature. I met a very kind person on my trip to Bolanggu. If you're planning to go to Bolanggu, you can call the long-distance bus station to inquire about shuttle buses. The customer service representative will give you the phone number of the person in charge. The fare from the county town to Bolanggu Scenic Area is 20 yuan. I contacted this person in charge a day in advance. The next day, the bus broke down and couldn't run. The driver didn't call me either, and I waited a long time without getting a ride. I then called this person in charge, explaining that I hadn't received a call from the driver. After understanding the situation, this person in charge decided to take me to the scenic area in their own car. They waited for me for 3 hours at the entrance and then took me back to the county town. I'm very grateful to this person in charge of the shuttle bus for making my trip to Bolanggu possible. If you're planning to go to Bolanggu, you can follow the Jingbian Travel mini-program.
Most of my trip to Shaanxi was spent in overcast and rainy weather. After checking the weather forecast, I was fortunate to find a sunny day, so I adjusted my itinerary to visit Wave Valley. The scenery at Wave Valley was beautiful, and the leisurely pace of exploring the large loop was very enjoyable. Booking tickets through Ctrip was convenient, and I will definitely use it again next time.

Easy to use, just scan the code, the ice cave is nice, it should be developed more, I didn't see enough, the price is a bit high, the service is good, there are free coats, helmets, glasses cleaners, and ginger soup.
The scenery is beautiful and the activities are fun. The scenery after the rain is amazing, even thicker than the clouds on Mount Huashan. The glass bridge is very high and exciting, it made me dizzy, hahaha. The ice cave is beautiful, formed 3 million years ago, it's spectacular and eye-opening.

The scenery was beautiful, but the journey was a bit tiring. We ordered two dishes and a soup from the restaurant next to the shuttle bus inside the North Gate scenic area, which was advertised through a loudspeaker. The taste was indescribable, and the experience was not good. The tourist route signs were not very clear. I suggest finding a tour guide to improve the tourist experience.
One of the most worthwhile attractions to visit, Yanmen Pass ranks first among the nine strategic passes of ancient China. You must go and see its terrain and geographical location to experience how military defense was conducted during wartime. However, the scenic area is too commercialized and lacks sufficient entertainment value.

Buying tickets online was very convenient; they were valid immediately. The bus ride was smooth, and the scenery along the way was beautiful. Mianshan is fun, especially Qixian Valley, which is fun and exciting, but there are many people and you have to queue. The management of the scenic area is not in place, and many people who cut in line are ignored. Tourists almost got into a fight. I told the police and the staff, but no one cared.
The scenic area is vast, encompassing mountains, rivers, culture, and natural beauty. A thorough exploration would certainly require a day or two. With so many attractions and so many steps up the mountain, a sightseeing bus is essential. We headed straight for the Baogu True Body Statue, spending the afternoon focusing on Yunfeng Temple and Zhengguo Temple. Daluo Palace closes at 4:30 PM, so we could only take photos and admire the panoramic view from outside.
The elevator at Zhengguo Temple was broken and was under repair until the end of September. The only way to get there was to take the zigzag plank path from Yunfeng Temple and back the same way. It took at least two hours round trip. The guide said it might not be available during the National Day holiday... but we were still eager to pay our respects.

Taiyuan Botanical Garden has become a newly popular tourist attraction, largely thanks to its starry sky-top elevator observation deck. The three hemispherical tropical museums opposite, reflected in the water, resemble an alien base. Now that it's winter and the off-season, the crowds are concentrated here! You could easily spend a whole day here in the summer. There are electric shuttle buses and small electric cars available for rent, so it's not tiring for the elderly or children!
The botanical garden is large and boasts a rich variety of species. In winter, visitors can only view the exhibits inside the buildings, but during other seasons, the entire garden is open to visitors. I was fortunate enough to see the firefly exhibition this time, which was quite a nice way to relive childhood memories. It's truly amazing how such tiny fireflies can emit such bright light. The plants inside the exhibits are as beautiful as ever.
