Before entering Guanmenshan Forest Park, we took a boat tour of Huancui Lake. In the morning, there was a bit of fog, making Huancui Lake appear ethereal and breathtakingly beautiful. In mid-October, the red and green leaves complement each other beautifully, creating a mesmerizing scene.
Main Scenic Areas: The park comprises four main scenic areas: Xiaohuangshan, Jializi, Longmenxia, and Yuetaizi, totaling 108 attractions. Xiaohuangshan Scenic Area focuses on mountain climbing and rock appreciation; Jializi Scenic Area features streams, koi carp, and black swans; Longmenxia Scenic Area boasts numerous maple trees, including the "King of Maple Trees"; and Yuetaizi Scenic Area is a major autumn foliage viewing area. During the National Day holiday on October 1st, there were many tourists, so we could only take a quick look at the scenery. Since the only way to tour the scenic area is by sightseeing bus, we had to skip some attractions to avoid queuing. Overall, it was still worth visiting, but it's best to avoid going during peak hours. We also took a helicopter tour of the seaside scenery within the scenic area, which was short but still worthwhile, as we saw some unique views.
I drove here specifically for this trip. It was so beautiful that I cried. I happened to catch the sunset. It was a bit late and I didn't have much fun, but seeing the sunset 🌄 made the trip worthwhile.

Early winter is a quiet time with few tourists. The scenic area is beautiful. A ticket is required for the shuttle bus (20 yuan per person), which runs on a hop-on-hop basis, averaging one bus every 10 minutes – very convenient and excellent value. Walking around the entire scenic area would be too strenuous for people of average physical ability.
Jingyuetan is a beautiful lake, and it is a sister lake to Sun Moon Lake in Taiwan. It is a bit cold in winter, so be sure to dress warmly. It is a great place to visit in summer. It is a natural oxygen bar, and the surrounding area is relatively convenient for dining and accommodation. The park is very large, and you can visit it and then stay overnight in Changchun city.

The scenery is very beautiful, and the mountains in the scenic area are not difficult to climb, but the scenery at the top of the mountain is particularly good. However, the transportation is not very convenient. It took a long time to get there by car. I hope that the high-speed rail can be built to the vicinity in the future to make it easier for everyone to travel.
It took a 2.5-hour drive from Dandong to reach Wunü Mountain. We began our hike at 2:30 PM. It happened to rain that morning, so we were lucky enough to see the misty sea of clouds and the lake below. The climb was relatively easy, and it took about 40 minutes to reach the summit. However, there was a major problem. It wasn't explained clearly beforehand: the thousand-year-old Goguryeo city wall is located near the South Gate. It can only be seen from the West Gate, along the One-Line Sky Plank Road to the South Gate. For safety reasons, the One-Line Sky Plank Road closes at 4 PM, so we didn't get to see it that day. This wasn't explained clearly at the ticket office, and I hope this will be improved in the future.

Siping Nanhu Park, located on Nanxinhua Street in Tiexi District, Siping City, is an urban landscape park centered around an artificial lake. The park features wooden corridors, a lotus-themed pavilion, and a lakeside island pavilion, among other scenic structures. I followed the map from Trip, it shows that the closest metro is from Dongbeishida. But there is actually another metro not too far away from the park: Nonggongguangchang Metro. Be ready to walk for a long time if you are taking a metro. The scenery in the park is quite nice. Some trees have turned yellow and red.

Compared to a tourist attraction, it's actually more like a large park. During the day, many people come to sing, dance, and hold activities, making it serve a better purpose.
It's not very large; you can see everything in about an hour. I booked a guided tour through Ctrip, which helped me better understand the historical background and stories. There are also official guided tours available, but if you just walk around on your own, you might not remember much.
If you have the time, I think it's worth setting aside 1-2 hours in the morning to stroll around, take a walk, and learn about the history.
The guide Ms Zhang was very knowledgeable and patient with my questions. Was a good and enjoyable tour of the mausoleum and park.

The experience was great! I heard that Anshan residents can get in for free recently, but we out-of-towners paid 20 yuan for tickets, climbed 10km with an elevation gain of over 700m, and the mountain's shape was quite unique. Overall, it was a great experience and felt like a great value!

Today, my father and I visited the Shenyang Imperial Palace from Changchun, and it was a fantastic experience. As a representative of Qing Dynasty history and culture, the Shenyang Imperial Palace provided us with an excellent opportunity to deeply understand this period of history. First, the palace's architectural style is unique and well-preserved; every detail reflects the craftsmanship and aesthetics of the time. The main buildings, especially the Dazheng Hall and Chongzheng Hall, are breathtaking.
During the visit, there were many private guides available at the entrance, which was very helpful. Due to the complex historical background of the palace, many details require professional explanation. We chose a guide whose explanations were vivid and engaging, not only helping us better understand the stories behind the exhibits but also adding to the enjoyment of the entire visit.
Several exhibition areas within the Shenyang Imperial Palace are well worth seeing, especially those displaying Qing Dynasty court life and clothing, which made us feel as if we had traveled back to the imperial palace hundreds of years ago. Furthermore, the electric cart service within the palace was very convenient, making it easy for us to explore the grounds and saving us a lot of energy.
Overall, the Shenyang Imperial Palace is a very worthwhile place to visit, especially suitable for those interested in Qing Dynasty history and culture. Visitors are advised to do some basic research on the historical background beforehand, which will make the visit much smoother. If time permits, you can also stroll around the streets near the Forbidden City to experience the local charm of Shenyang. Overall, the Shenyang Forbidden City is highly recommended for both its historical value and the visitor experience, making it a must-see tourist destination.
Although Shenyang Imperial Palace is small, its architectural design blends the essence of Manchu, Han, Mongolian, and Tibetan cultures, showcasing the characteristics of Manchu military and political life in its overall layout: the Ten Kings Pavilion and Dazheng Hall on the east side form the space for the Eight Banners to discuss politics; while the Chongzheng Hall and Phoenix Tower on the central axis create a unique "high palace, low hall" layout; and the Wensu Pavilion on the west side, with its green tiles and eaves, houses a rare copy of the Siku Quanshu (Complete Library of the Four Treasuries). Each of the three sections has its own distinct character and features.

This is a pet-friendly attraction that Xiaohongshu highly recommends. The scenic area is not large, but the scenery is beautiful. It can be visited in half a day and is suitable for traveling with pets. My timid dog was scared by the aerial drifting, so it is not recommended for timid dogs.
I went there today, and some of the red leaves 🍁 have dried up. The air rafting is awesome, and the raincoat is very good and won't get wet at all. My child and I played it twice; the speed zipline was also enjoyed by the child three times, and the mountain slide and jungle crossing were also experienced, which is not very wallet-friendly 😂
Maple Mountain Duodao is really as beautiful as an oil painting, and there are few people. This is the only moment today that I regretted not bringing a SLR! If you are here to enjoy the maple leaves, promise me that you must go!
