"Absolutely breathtaking! The Japan Alpine Route was a remarkable journey through stunning landscapes. From the snow walls to the majestic mountains, every moment was awe-inspiring. The mix of cable cars, trolley buses, and ropeways made the experience unforgettable. A must-visit destination for nature lovers!"
First we took a bus, then an electric bus, then a cable car, then a crane, and finally we came to Tateyama Kurobe to admire the magnificent snow wall. Although this year’s snow wall is said to be the shortest in history, it is still majestic and makes people marvel at the beauty of nature!

Amaharashi Coast – Noto Peninsula Quasi-National Park | ReviewThe Amaharashi Coast, located in Toyama Prefecture within the Noto Peninsula Quasi-National Park, is a stunningly scenic spot where the sea meets the mountains in dramatic fashion.Scenic Beauty:The coast is famous for its picturesque views of the Tateyama Mountain Range across Toyama Bay. On clear days, the snow-covered peaks seem to float above the sea, offering one of Japan’s most iconic coastal landscapes. The coast is lined with pine trees and dotted with rocky formations, giving it a peaceful, almost timeless atmosphere.Cultural Highlights:One of the key attractions is Yoshitsune Rock, tied to the legend of the samurai Minamoto no Yoshitsune, who is said to have taken shelter there during a storm. A small shrine stands atop the rock, adding historical depth to the location.Accessibility:The coast is easily accessible via the JR Himi Line. From Amaharashi Station, it’s just a short 5-minute walk to the beach. The station itself is a charming wooden building that adds to the nostalgic vibe of the area. What Visitors Say:“Very peaceful and good view location.” – Mingche C.“A must-see for people in the area. Great views of the Noto coast and the Tateyama mountain range when the weather is clear.” – Theron M.Tips:Visit on a clear winter day for the best views of the mountains.Mornings are ideal for photography and fewer tourists.A nearby roadside station offers food, drinks, souvenirs, and restroom facilities.Final Verdict:A hidden gem of the Hokuriku region, Amaharashi Coast is perfect for nature lovers, photographers, and history buffs. The combination of sea, mountains, and legend makes it a truly unforgettable experience.
I went there in the summer, so I didn't have the chance to see the snow-capped mountains. I drove through a winding road and turned a corner to see the sea. The wind was quite strong. There was a coffee shop indoors opposite the coast, so I could take a short break. It was nice to sit and daydream whether indoors or by the sea.

[Scenery] There are many similar canyons in the Kurobe Gorge area. The tour modes are similar. They are all cruises, and then climbing mountains to see the distant view. They are all good. You can choose one to visit. [Fun] It takes about a day. The style is more relaxed and free, so you don't need to rush.
My husband and I stayed at the Kurobe Hotel. We departed for the Kurobe Gorge Railway at 9:30 the next day. It is recommended to leave enough time, especially if the round trip train takes 2 hours in total. We went back and forth on the same day, and we were going to Takayama in the afternoon, so it was a bit rushed! But the train is unique and worth a try

The Toyama Glass Museum is very artistic! The building itself is a modern glass design, perfect for taking photos. The exhibits in the museum are amazing, and the various glass artworks sparkle under the light and shadow, dreamy and exquisite. There is also an interactive experience area, which is fun and photogenic! After visiting, you can also take a break in the cafe. It is recommended to friends who like niche art, it is worth a visit!
If you live near to toyama you should check this place. All the artworks inside is reallly amazing.

Toyama Canal Park is perfect for a relaxing stroll! The canal is lined with green trees and has wide trails, making it comfortable for cycling or walking. The landmark "Tianmen Bridge" has a beautiful night view, and its reflection on the water is super dreamy. There is also a Starbucks in the park, and it is very comfortable to sit in the open air and drink coffee. Cherry blossoms in spring and red leaves in autumn, each season has different beautiful scenery, and both locals and tourists love to come here!
The "Toyama Canal Park" at the north exit of Toyama Prefecture is an oasis in the hearts of Toyama residents. The Starbucks Park store here enjoys the reputation of "the most beautiful Starbucks in Japan". The store's appearance adopts a simple square design, consisting of three huge floor-to-ceiling windows and an outdoor deck, and outside is the distant and tranquil Toyama Canal. Here, while drinking coffee, quietly enjoy the charming canal scenery~

Toyama Castle Ruins is a must-visit place for history fans! Although the castle tower is a reconstruction, the red and white exterior is very eye-catching and very photogenic. It displays historical relics of Toyama, and you can overlook the panoramic view of the city from the top. The surrounding parks are beautiful in all seasons, and the cherry blossom season is especially romantic. It is free to visit and has a high cost-effectiveness. It is suitable for quickly understanding Toyama culture!
Toyama Castle is one of the famous ancient castles in Japan and has been listed as a World Cultural Heritage. It not only has Japanese characteristics, but also the castle tower has beautiful red leaves. The red leaves in Toyama Castle are really beautiful, and they contrast with the golden grass on the ground. It is really beautiful.
