The sculptures within the grottoes are exquisite and well worth a visit. Caves 1 to 20 are worth visiting as long as they're open; they're all exquisite. There's no need to visit caves 20 and beyond; there's basically nothing to see. Cave 20 is a picture postcard of the Yungang Grottoes. After taking a photo from the front, you can queue up on the platform to the left to take photos. The queue here takes about half an hour on weekdays, and it's very sunny with no shade. The whole process takes about four or five hours without rushing, but if you're quick, you can probably get out in about three hours. Arrive at the main station a little after 7:00 AM and take bus No. 3. It takes about half an hour to get outside the scenic area. There's no traffic. The visitor center offers free luggage storage and drinking water. The caves are very empty at noon on weekdays, but they tend to be crowded in the morning and afternoon when there are many tour groups. Personally, I think you don't need to take an electric car when entering. Enter the gate, pass through Lifo Avenue, cross Lingyan Temple, and you will reach the first grotto. The electric car also stops here. If you are short on time when returning, take an electric car. It costs 10 yuan one way. If you have enough time, you can walk back along the grottoes like me. Because there were few people at noon, I visited the key grottoes again. When you walk to Lingyan Temple, just walk from the side of Lingyan Temple to the gate. Be careful not to walk to the ticket gate. The exit is on the right side of the ticket gate. You must go out from the right in advance. There is a commercial street over there. Everyone knows that you must pass through here to go out of each scenic spot.
The Jin Temple, located at the foot of Xuanweng Mountain in Taiyuan, is a thousand-year-old temple built to commemorate Tang Shuyu, one of the founding princes of the Jin Dynasty. Its value extends far beyond its ceremonial functions; it is a treasure trove of art that integrates architecture, sculpture, gardens, and history. The temple's three national treasures—the Holy Mother Hall, the Yunuma Flying Bridge, and the Offering Hall—are exemplary examples of Song Dynasty architecture. The Holy Mother Hall is majestic and imposing, with eight wooden carved dragon pillars in front of it winding and gracefully appearing to soar into the sky. The 43 Song Dynasty colored sculptures of maids within the hall are particularly exquisite. Their diverse poses, expressive eyes, and flowing draperies are hailed as "the pinnacle of ancient Chinese sculpture." The Yunuma Flying Bridge's ingenious cross-shaped bridge structure is a unique example among existing ancient bridges in my country. Ancient trees also form the soul of the Jin Temple. The sturdy and twisted branches of Zhou cypress and Tang locust trees silently bear witness to the passage of time. The clear and refreshing Nanlao Spring infuses the entire temple grounds with vitality. The beauty of the Jin Temple lies in its transcendence of a single scenic spot, seamlessly blending cultural remembrance with natural landscapes. More than a cold display of cultural relics, it is a poem flowing with the warmth of history, immersing oneself in it and allowing one to feel the profound breath of Chinese civilization spanning millennia.

It was very convenient to buy same-day tickets on Ctrip. There's a tour bus at the visitor center, but you need to buy your own ticket. It's 10 yuan round trip. There were a lot of tour groups when I went, so it was crowded. Due to the weather, I took the northern route, which wasn't very tiring.
It's well worth a visit. I even consider the Yingxian Wooden Pagoda, like the Great Wall or the Forbidden City, a must-see cultural landmark for Chinese people. As you approach the pagoda, you'll be struck by its grandeur, imposingness, and exquisite beauty. It's a shame you can only visit the first floor; the other floors are closed, but they contain incomparably exquisite statues. It's truly a national treasure.

The amazing ancient buildings built on the mountain and the stunning red ancestral temples on the cliffs represent the ancient wisdom. There are no other problems except for the large crowds. You need to queue up and the number of people is limited, so you need to prepare in advance.
Good experience to climb up to the hanging temple, but the queue was too long. We waited almost 2 hours to climb up.

Singing Sand Bay, a wonder in the desert! Enjoy camel rides, sandboarding, sandboarding, and bonfire parties all in one place. The sand sings, and the starry night sky is breathtaking. It's the perfect place to de-stress and connect with nature. You won't want to leave!
Xiangshawan is the desert I most want to visit when I go to Inner Mongolia. Because I need to bring children, there are food for sale there, which is a bit commercialized. But it’s my first time in the desert, and I still feel good.

The location is excellent. After visiting the Dazhao Temple, you can walk to the nearby Saishang Old Street, and then go to the Xilituzhao Temple across the road. It is a little smaller than the Dazhao Temple. When traveling, the goal is to go in and take a look.
In the morning mist of Hohhot's old city, Dazhao Temple stands like an old man draped in a crimson cassock, quietly guarding the secrets of the fusion of grassland and Buddhism. Stepping through the mountain gates, the mundane world is instantly separated by the vermilion walls. The aroma of incense and butter washes away the dust of travel, like a cup of piping hot milk tea, washing away the dust of travel. The first breath of astonishment is the Silver Buddha Hall: a statue of Sakyamuni, cast from 30,000 taels of pure silver, features downcast brows. The patterns on the lotus pedestal are softly shadowed by the light, as if a gentle breath would cause compassion to overflow from the silver light. Two golden dragons coiled upward, their whiskers almost touching the beams. Their scales gleamed coldly in the gloom, like lightning striking the grassland night sky, frozen in time by the craftsman. The mural gallery is another dimension, where the robes of flying figures painted with mineral pigments still carry a gentle breeze. The clink of horse hooves, chanting, and camel bells from centuries past are locked within the mottled hues; with a touch of your fingertips, you can smell the scent of dried sand and grass mingled with the paint. If you witness a lama debating, their crimson robes flow like a surging tide, the drumming of the bell and wooden fish resonates deeply in your heart, even your breathing slows to the rhythm. Young lamas, clutching scriptures, run through the corridors, their steps as brisk as spring lambs, giving the ancient temple a sudden, beating heart. Exit the temple gates, turn down an alley, and you'll find Saishang Old Street. Your nostrils, freshly scented with the aroma of ghee, are instantly infused with the milky fragrance of freshly baked yogurt cakes and the coarse, salty, and savory texture of air-dried beef, as if you've fallen directly from a Buddhist land to a prairie bonfire. At that moment I realized that the charm of Dazhao Temple has never been its grand scale, but the way it blends faith and fireworks, silver Buddhas and iron lions, Sanskrit sounds and shouts into the same breeze - blowing across the grassland and into the heart.

There is nothing much to play, just natural scenery, take various cars out of the ditch, there are grass skiing, water skiing, 50 yuan per time, the ticket includes the performance, a bit expensive. The scenery is not bad
The blue sky and white clouds grassland, the scenery is beautiful on a sunny day, there is a lot of traffic in the scenic area, the Internet celebrity train took, the elderly and children did not feel tired all the way down, there is grass skiing at their own expense, the scenery on the cable car in the ditch is the most beautiful, but there is nothing fun in the ditch. I came out to watch the Aobao performance, which was not bad.

The temple's architecture is solemn and majestic, and the gate is impressive. Many influencers and those posing for photos in period costumes choose this spot, making it a truly beautiful spot. The murals are particularly beautiful, and the pagoda is worth seeing and worshipping. The underground palace contains many national-level cultural relics and Buddhist relics. Every hall is worth visiting.
The trip was well worth it! I truly felt the solemnity and tranquility of this thousand-year-old temple. Huayan Temple's architecture is a true gem. The Liao Dynasty style of the Main Hall, the exquisite murals, and the painted sculptures—every detail is breathtaking, like reading a three-dimensional history textbook. The entire temple is magnificent and imposing, and its preservation is truly miraculous. Walking along the blue bricks and among the ancient cypresses, my heart naturally calmed. The atmosphere here is less commercial, more rich in cultural heritage and a religious atmosphere. The guides were incredibly knowledgeable and captivating. This is a must-see for lovers of ancient architecture and history—it far exceeded my expectations! Amidst the hustle and bustle of city life, this is a rare sanctuary. Entering the temple feels like entering another world. The lingering scent of incense and towering ancient trees instantly soothe my inner restlessness. There's no excessive tourist noise, only the occasional chime of bells and chanting, which invites me to slow down and find peace. Whether you're devoutly worshipping the Buddha or simply sitting and daydreaming under the long corridor, you'll feel a powerful, peaceful energy. It's a truly relaxing and healing experience. I'd recommend it to anyone seeking inner peace. It's truly stunning, worthy of its name, the "Liao and Jin Art Museum"! The ancient architecture is magnificent and beautifully preserved, making for stunning photos. The environment is tranquil and well-organized, allowing you to experience the profound Buddhist culture. The staff are friendly and helpful. The admission fee is incredibly worthwhile, and it's a must-see attraction in Datong! 👍 The highlight of my trip to Datong was Huayan Temple. [Stunning Architecture] The architectural style of the Liao and Jin dynasties is majestic and imposing, with massive brackets and gently sloping roofs, reflecting the wisdom and aesthetics of the ancients. The exquisitely designed celestial pavilions in the Bhagavad Gāthāna Hall were praised by Liang Sicheng as "a unique masterpiece in China," and seeing them in person is truly breathtaking. [Quiet Environment] The temple is large, meticulously laid out, and the grounds are immaculately maintained. Ancient trees, lush flowers, red walls, and black tiles combine in a remarkably harmonious harmony, creating a breathtaking scene at every turn. [Excellent Experience] The area was not crowded, and the visit was excellent. You can enjoy a guided tour to learn more about the history, or wander freely on your own. Benches are provided for rest, a very user-friendly touch. I truly believe this is a top-tier ancient temple in China, boasting both immense cultural and aesthetic value, and meticulously maintained. I highly recommend visiting and experiencing it for yourself! Datong is a city of contrasts and charm. Its transformation from a "coal capital" to a "green capital" is a model for urban development in China. It boasts a world-class cultural heritage yet maintains a low-key, affordable lifestyle, offering an excellent travel experience. It combines the richness and vicissitudes of history with the cleanliness and vitality of a modern city. It may not have the bustling fashion of a metropolis, but it offers a unique blend of cultural excitement, visual delights, and culinary delights, creating a unique and enduring experience. This is a truly underrated historical and cultural city that's well worth a special trip. Datong is a hardcore city where you'll find plenty to see and do, and you'll gain a fresh perspective on Chinese history and culture. Dining in Datong is delicious, filling, affordable, and brimming with life.

It's a nice scenic spot. I had to turn back due to traffic jam when I came here for the first time. This time I chose a low season and there were still many people, especially the elderly tour groups. The scenery of the scenic spot is pleasant, and the ancient buildings and towers are amazing. The wisdom of the ancients!
We chartered a car from Xinzhou to Yanmen Pass. Tickets are free for those over 60 years old. I paid 59 yuan in advance on Ctrip, 90 yuan on site, and 10 yuan for round trip transportation. The first pass in the world is worth a visit.

Volcanoes are one of Ulanqab's most striking features. Regardless of your experience, a visit is essential. Volcano No. 8 is highly recommended; it's incredibly dark and hot, and truly captivating. The beautiful scenery created by the volcano, the blue sky, white clouds, grasslands, and cattle and sheep is a highlight of the scenic area.
This kind of attraction requires off-peak travel and good weather to fully experience. I visited the volcano on Friday. The entire route was smooth. I easily climbed the mountainside of Volcano 6 and then descended to the crater in a go-kart. Ctrip issued my ticket quickly, and I could enter the park by simply scanning the QR code. It was very convenient.

The journey from Hengshan Mountain to the Hanging Temple is the final stop on the Five Great Mountains! Even with the cable car, the 2,016-meter climb is quite challenging. There's only a check-in plaque at the top! The winds at the top are so strong they can blow you away.
Beiyue Hengzong has a unique mountain landscape, a grand religious building complex and a profound cultural heritage. The mountain is not difficult to climb and does not take long, but there are not many natural landscapes to see.
