Before I went, I didn't think this attraction was particularly impressive. Upon entering, I was met with a constant stream of "Wow, Wow!" All thoughts vanished.
Of the two stone forests, the Large Stone Forest was the most captivating. Wandering through the diverse stone forests felt like exploring a forest of mysteries. Ups and downs, uneven terrain, and every turn offered a new breathtaking view. The various stone formations are so diverse, you can just imagine them. I didn't enjoy the various guides' explanations along the way; they felt a bit forced. The Small Stone Forest is all about Ashima, but frankly, I didn't find it that appealing.
My personal recommendation is to take the scenic shuttle bus to visit the Large Stone Forest first (the entire hike takes at least three hours), then visit the Small Stone Forest. Before leaving, rent a small electric car to drive around the perimeter, then take the scenic shuttle bus.
