A very nice island, it feels like a smaller version of Phuket. It only takes an hour to cycle around the island, which is very relaxing. done a 2 d 1 n hike to senaru crater. did the trip with jou trekking and pick up directly from airport to senaru the days before before starting the hike at 8am the next day
I participated in the Rinjani Cross-Country Race. I started at night and went down the mountain in the afternoon. The whole journey was 36 kilometers. This is a magical volcano. At night, you can watch the Milky Way climbing up from the foot of the mountain. When the sun rises, the scenery is just above the clouds. It is quite magnificent. The road to the top of the mountain is quite difficult. As a semi-professional cross-country athlete, it takes two or three hours to complete one kilometer. It is even more difficult without trekking poles. Remember to prepare trekking poles. It may take you two hours to complete the last 300 meters.
