Yuelu Academy, located at the foot of the east side of Yuelu Mountain in Yuelu District, Changsha City, Hunan Province (near the south gate of Yuelu Mountain Scenic Area), is one of the "Four Great Academies" in ancient China. It is also a very iconic cultural attraction in Changsha and a typical representative of Hunan culture.
A mountain road, a lecture hall, and a river of books. Looking back from the head of Orange Island in Changsha, the verdant Yuelu is like the plain paper spread by the ancients. The wind blows from the Xiangjiang River, rolling the sound of Xiaoxiang books into the academy with swaying tree shadows. Yuelu Academy, this thousand-year-old institution of learning, seems to be that seal, gently stamped on the cultural context of the mountains and rivers of Hunan, and it is the place of peace of mind for Chinese scholars.
