The biggest surprise of my trip to Zhengding Ancient City was Longxing Temple, also known as the Great Buddha Temple. It's not a noisy tourist hotspot, but a true treasure trove of ancient art. The temple complex is laid out along a central axis, maintaining its complete layout. What impressed me most was the Mani Hall, a unique cross-shaped wooden structure from the Song Dynasty, with a graceful, serene Guanyin statue on the rear wall – unforgettable at first glance. The 20-meter-tall Thousand-Hand Bronze Buddha in the Great Compassion Pavilion is magnificent, and there's also a rotating Song Dynasty revolving sutra repository and the Longzang Temple Stele, a masterpiece of calligraphy – six national treasures in one temple. Ancient cypress trees reach for the sky, creating a quiet and profound atmosphere. A guided tour is essential; otherwise, you'll miss many details. Those who appreciate ancient architecture and historical sculptures should definitely not miss it.
Teacher Li's explanations were vivid, interesting, and full of references. She knew historical buildings like the back of her hand and took great care of the children with patience and meticulousness. I look forward to having the opportunity to listen to Teacher Li's explanations again next time.

As a filming location for the 1987 TV series "Dream of the Red Chamber," the Rongguo Mansion is truly beautiful at night. The entire performance lasts about an hour, featuring an immersive, moving performance that is far from a boring show! Numerous interactive games, a "flying flower" game, and fun ancient-style challenges kept children actively engaged throughout, having a blast and even winning small mooncakes; elders familiar with the plot of "Dream of the Red Chamber" watched with great enjoyment!
A pretty good attraction. The show starts at 6:10 PM and runs on a loop. We were all exhausted and not planning to go anymore, but we were drawn in and ended up spending over an hour there. The night view is beautiful, and the main scenes are faithfully recreated from the TV series, which brought back memories. The performance is highly engaging, especially for the kids, who even learned a lot about the classic novel. Definitely worth a visit.

There were many exhibits, and it was very crowded during the National Day holiday. The signage in the exhibition hall was a bit unclear, and I wandered around quite a bit. Perhaps it was because of the time constraints; it's better suited for a leisurely visit. The area in front of the Changxin Palace Lanterns and its neighboring booths was packed with people!
The Hebei Provincial Museum consists of two buildings (South and North sections), each three stories high, with a pool and landscaping in the courtyard. Advance reservations for entry time slots are required. You can buy pigeon feed to feed the pigeons in the plaza at the entrance. There are restaurants and souvenir shops on the basement level. I entered at 10:30 AM and didn't leave until 4:30 PM, and there were still some artifacts not to be missed. Separate brochures are available for the main exhibition halls; you can pick them up at the front desk.

Longquan Ancient Town is one of the most interesting ancient towns I've ever visited. Its charm rivals that of Wansui Mountain Martial Arts City in Hebei. However, the only downside is the sheer number of people. Definitely avoid visiting during holidays. It's not fun at all; the overwhelming crowds halve the enjoyment. Even the NPCs (players) are exhausted. But visiting during the off-season will definitely be much more enjoyable. Watch the classic shows and sample some local snacks. It will make your trip to Shijiazhuang even more magical.
The two main performances, with Su Dongpo keeping everyone busy, were totally worth the ticket price. These large performances are both an hour long, and the performers put a lot of effort into them. The children thoroughly enjoyed them. If possible, we'd buy an annual pass to come back again.

The hometown of Tai Chi has well-preserved ancient city walls and many performance programs, but it is still quite commercialized. During the National Day holiday, there are a lot of tourists, especially at night, which causes serious traffic jams.
The ancient town retains its original appearance, offering a quiet and less crowded experience on weekdays. Most bicycles on the city walls are four-seater, with no single-seater bikes or commercial establishments. Residents live within the ancient town. The former residence of Wu Zongshi and the Guangfu Shuya (Guangfu government office) are worth visiting.

It was excellent and breathtaking, especially Daxiantong Temple and Guanghua Temple, which were the most beautiful among the representative temples. It's said there are over 120 temples in the area; two days wasn't enough, so we could only visit some of the famous ones. Thankfully, we climbed 1080 steps to reach the top of Dailuo Peak, making the trip quite fulfilling.
When visiting Wutai Mountain, the Wuye Temple is a must-see. The temple is solemn and filled with the smoke of incense, attracting many people who come specifically to make wishes and pray for blessings. It's recommended to arrive early to avoid the crowds and allow for a more relaxed prayer experience. After your pilgrimage, if you don't want to rush around, you can stay at Huijin Homestay. The homestay is conveniently located, making it easy to get to the Wuye Temple. The rooms are clean and quiet, perfect for pilgrims to rest and recuperate. A great choice for accommodation when visiting Wutai Mountain.

We took the kids to the wildlife park this time, and we arrived quite early, so the queue for the predator enclosure wasn't too long, which made for a good experience! However, when we asked about the train ride from the predator enclosure, we found out it would take at least two and a half hours, so we decided to skip it!
The self-driving experience far exceeded my expectations. Driving slowly in the dedicated lane created a wonderful sense of distance from the animals. Just entering the predator enclosure, we encountered a pack of wolves pacing along the roadside; I could see their fur and eyes through the car window, a mix of tension and excitement. The atmosphere immediately relaxed in the herbivore area, where zebras and antelopes leisurely crossed in front of the car, and camels peered out the window, their endearing clumsiness captivating. The entire drive was conducted without leaving the vehicle, allowing me to enjoy the air conditioning while watching the animals roam freely on the open grasslands – much more liberating than the mini-train, allowing me to stop whenever I wanted and take photos at my leisure. The park's routes were clearly marked, and the animals were all relaxed and at ease, avoiding the stereotypical feeling of being caged. The drive was full of surprises and well worth it.

The place is nice, but there were just too many people during the National Day holiday. It was impossible to climb the stairs; it was packed with people. Taking the cable car up required walking 1 kilometer, while taking the toboggan up only took 300 meters.
The shuttle bus goes directly to the scenic area, which is very convenient. The Wa Huang Palace is the legendary site where the goddess Nuwa mended the sky with stones, and a sacred place for ancestor worship. The Wa Huang Pavilion is built close to the cliff face, with nine iron chains connecting it to the cliff at the back. When there are many people, the pavilion leans forward, and the iron chains tighten, providing stability; hence, it is known as a "hanging temple" or "living building." It is truly magnificent.

My first visit to Yeshanpo Bailixia Scenic Area was quite an experience. The entire scenic area boasts beautiful canyon scenery. You need to take a cable car to get from one canyon to another, but the cable car ride is very short and quite steep, so the experience was just so-so.
I was initially hesitant about guesthouses, but this one surprised me in every way – the environment, facilities, style, and cleanliness. The owner's honesty and pleasant conversation were a bonus. It's a great choice for family trips or team building activities. 👍

The hotel was very friendly. My friends and I came here for tourism, and the hotel offered excellent value for money. The location was also superb, very close to the scenic spots, making it convenient to get around and providing a comfortable stay.
The "Number One Spring Under Heaven" truly lives up to its name! This classical northern garden offers breathtaking views at every turn, lush and verdant. The main spring pool features three constantly bubbling streams; witnessing the "Baotu Spring soaring into the sky" was truly awe-inspiring. The spring water is crystal clear and emerald green, teeming with koi carp. Besides Baotu Spring, other springs like Shuyu Spring and Jinxi Spring are scattered throughout the park. The Li Qingzhao Memorial Hall is serene and elegant, with white walls and verdant bamboo, evoking the delicate beauty of her poetry and rich cultural heritage. The pavilions, ancient buildings, weeping willows, and stone bridges make for stunning photo opportunities. The park is well-maintained, making it a pleasant place to stroll, and it's conveniently located near Quancheng Square. A must-visit in Jinan, experience the unique charm of this city of springs!
