It's a very atmospheric village with charming log cabins and bridges. There's a free shuttle bus that takes you to your desired destinations, and it runs quite frequently. I experienced the log cabins, the stream, and even went up to the Harden Observation Deck to overlook the entire Hemu Village!
This is my second time staying in Hemu Village. The clear and turbulent Hemu River, Harden Viewing Platform, cabins, and eagles 🦅 still left me with a good impression and a good experience.

Xinjiang's Devil City, located in Karamay's Urho District, is a national 5A-level scenic spot. It features a typical Yardang landform, covering a total area of 260 square kilometers. Once a freshwater lake, crustal movement, wind erosion, and water erosion have shaped a diverse array of wind-eroded rock formations, including castles and animals. The area earned its name from its location at a windy vent, where the howling winds resemble the howling of ghosts and wolves. It has also served as a filming location for numerous television series, including "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon."
You can take the scenic train to the Devil City, or you can drive yourself. If you are in a hurry with your family, the elderly and children, you can take the scenic train for a tour. The whole journey takes less than three hours. The train will play a voice introduction wherever it goes. There are five stops in total, and you can get off to play and take pictures. The wind and sand are very strong, so you must be fully armed with windproof masks, glasses and hats.

Xinjiang International Grand Bazaar: A Pearl of the Western Regions, Embracing Charm and Livelihood As a seasoned travel blogger, I've had the privilege of visiting Xinjiang many times, and the Xinjiang International Grand Bazaar is undoubtedly one of my most captivating landmarks. Known as the "Pearl of the Western Regions," this vast market is more than just a shopping destination; it serves as a window to the world, showcasing Xinjiang's rich ethnic culture, time-honored history, and vibrant local flavor. I. A Fusion of History and Culture Originally built in the late 19th century, the Xinjiang International Grand Bazaar has undergone numerous renovations and expansions, becoming a cultural landmark in Urumqi. Once a crucial hub on the Silk Road, it witnessed the exchange and integration of Eastern and Western cultures. Strolling through the alleys of the Grand Bazaar is like traveling back in time, immersing yourself in the ancient yet vibrant atmosphere of history. Architectural styles blend here, showcasing the Uyghur dome mosque, traditional Han courtyards, and Kazakh yurts, creating a vibrant and vibrant ethnic landscape. II. Rich and Diverse Ethnic Customs The Grand Bazaar epitomizes Xinjiang's multiethnic cultures. Walking through the area, you can hear Uyghur folk songs and savor authentic pilaf, grilled lamb kebabs, and naan. Every stall exudes an alluring aroma, showcasing a dazzling array of colorful handicrafts, embroidery, carpets, and jewelry. This is not only a great place for shopping, but also a perfect place to experience ethnic culture. During festivals and celebrations, lion and dragon dances and other passionate dance performances bring the Grand Bazaar to life, and visitors feel as if they are part of this sea of joy. 3. A Perfect Blend of Fireworks and Lifestyle The most captivating aspect of the Grand Bazaar is its rich, thriving atmosphere. Here, free from the hustle and bustle of the city, there's only the cries of vendors, the laughter of children, and the resounding sound of traditional music. In the mornings, the market is bustling with activity, showcasing a dazzling array of fruits, vegetables, and fresh dairy products. In the evenings, the market lights up, and the aroma of grilled kebabs permeates the air, attracting a constant stream of diners. The Grand Bazaar at night takes on a unique charm, with the lights illuminating the smiling faces of the people, creating a scene reminiscent of a floating fireworks display. IV. Specialty Food and Handicrafts When visiting the Xinjiang Grand Bazaar, you absolutely cannot miss the authentic cuisine. Grilled lamb skewers, baked buns, milk tea, kumis...each dish is imbued with rich ethnic flavor. Besides the food, the handicrafts are also a must-see. Exquisite carpets, embroidery, silver jewelry, and wood carvings—each piece embodies the meticulous craftsmanship and wisdom of the people. These items are not only highly ornamental but also perfect gifts for friends and family. V. Travel Tips and Experiences We recommend doing your research in advance and understanding some basic ethnic culture and etiquette to better immerse yourself in the local atmosphere. Wear comfortable shoes and have some cash on hand, as many stalls may not accept electronic payments. The best time to experience the bazaar is in the evening and evening, when the lights are ablaze and the atmosphere is lively. Additionally, participating in a guided tour or cultural performance can help you gain a deeper understanding of the unique charm of this region. Xinjiang International Grand Bazaar is not only a shopping paradise, but also a cultural treasure house.
Xinjiang International Grand Bazaar is Urumqi's most iconic cultural landmark, combining shopping, dining, and local cultural experiences. The following review examines the area from various perspectives: I. Core Features Architecture and Culture The main structure features Islamic-style buildings, with ochre brick walls and blue glazed tiles, reminiscent of traditional Kashgar residences. The 80-meter-tall Silk Road Observation Tower offers panoramic views of the city and is a landmark attraction. The Bazaar showcases Uyghur intangible cultural heritage, such as Adras silk, Uyghur embroidery, and traditional musical instrument making, recreating the prosperity of the ancient Silk Road. Culinary Experience Must-try snacks: Red Willow Lamb Skewers (10-15 RMB/skewers), Hotan Baked Buns (3 RMB/piece), Ganggang Meat (32 RMB/portion), and handmade yogurt. Note: Dining prices are slightly higher than in the city center. It is recommended to sample local specialties in small quantities. For main meals, visit the nearby Consulate Alley. Shopping and Entertainment Items include dried fruits (raisins, almonds), medicinal herbs, jade, and handicrafts. Bargaining is required. 15. Ethnic song and dance performances are held every night (Building 4, 4th Floor, 200-400 yuan). The opening ceremony (one in the morning and one in the afternoon) is not to be missed. 16. II. Itinerary Suggestions Time: Allow 2-3 hours for the tour, preferably in the evening, to combine dining and the night view. 17. Transportation: Take Metro Line 1 to Erdaoqiao Station, Exit A; a taxi from the airport takes about 30 minutes. 16. Tips for Avoiding Pitfalls: Ask for prices before shopping to avoid high prices at tourist attractions. 15. Respect ethnic customs and avoid sensitive topics. 1. III. Pros and Cons ✅ Pros: Rich cultural atmosphere, perfect for taking photos and experiencing the charm of the Western Regions. 28. A one-stop shop for all your dining, shopping, and entertainment needs, especially suitable for first-time visitors. 67. ❌ ‌Disadvantages‌: Some items are significantly overpriced, so it's recommended to compare prices at local markets like Jinquan Mall before purchasing. ‌1] Be careful with your belongings during holidays, as crowds are dense.

The Jiaohe Ancient City witnessed the prosperity and transformation of the Silk Road, and its rich history deserves further exploration. Once a crucial political, economic, and cultural center in the ancient Western Regions, this ancient city boasts a rich cultural heritage. Having survived through multiple dynasties, Jiaohe Ancient City showcases architectural styles and urban planning from various historical periods. Today, as a significant cultural site, Jiaohe Ancient City attracts countless visitors who come to experience its historical charm. We should work together to preserve and pass on this precious historical legacy.
1. You absolutely must take the electric trolley. It's too far, you can't skip it. 2. The electric trolley has three stops. Stops 1 and 2 are ok, as the main ruins are all at stop 3. If you have plenty of time, go to stops 2 and 3; if you're pressed for time, go straight to stop 3. 3. If you're carpooling and need to catch a train, talk to the driver and he'll help you find a taxi. After you're done, take a taxi directly to the train station. Of course, you'll have to pay for a taxi.

We went at the end of August. The sun was very bright during the day and there were not many people around. As the night went on, the crowds gradually increased. The park isn't very large, so 2 hours is enough if you don't watch the evening show. We recommend entering around 7pm.
Due to the influence of the overall environment, there are not many tourists in the scenic area. Although it is an ancient city built by modern people, it is an experience for tourists who have never been to or do not understand the Western Regions. There is no need to be obsessed with whether it is an ancient city!

On Liuxing Street, there are three recommended dry rice. I have eaten it. It is all a popular store. The first is Gulandam ice cream. The decoration is a bit ins style. The ice cream is 9 yuan and 9 yuan, and then the jam can be added casually. Very good, many people. The second is the blue wall lungs. It is the CCTV that has been photographed. I bought a small portion of 8 yuan. If you like to eat lamb, you can also add money to add materials. The third is Wusun Milk Tea House, which is authentic Kazakh milk tea. I think it is a bit unaccustomed to drinking, because it is sweet and salty, but it is also very good to taste once.
When you take the steaming pasta brought by the Uighur guys, you will feel the enthusiasm of the Six Star Street and the brother nation; When you stand in front of the city carvings of three black copper horse carriages, you seem to appreciate the exotic atmosphere; When you are close to the half-circle lantern door of Liuxing Street, you will not help but walk forward to the city pool; When you step on the lanterns of "I am waiting for you in Liuxing Street", maybe you really look forward to that warm encounter; Nature when "Apple Incense" comes quietly, your feet seem to move, that is not only the song but also the sweet Ili Apple 🍎 and so on. The magic sucks you.

Baguacheng is well worth a visit. Riding an electric donkey in the nighttime breeze was so relaxing. We had the breakfast recommended by the B&B owner, but unfortunately, we arrived late and missed out on the delicious pancakes. However, the owner ordered all the street food for us: delicious lamb skewers, dumplings, cold noodles, pepper chicken, and sauerkraut noodles... He even made milk tea for us. I wasn't used to it, but it was so touching. Afterward, we checked out at every shop and even had crayfish. Hahaha. I ate so many skewers and big plate chicken that I thought crayfish was even better. 🔴Xiwei Fast Food Restaurant. Xibe flatbread is a Xibe specialty, only found in Yili. Freshly made white pancakes are served with cauliflower, chive chili sauce, milk tea, and a delicious jerk. 🔴Ruyan Farmhouse Courtyard👍🏻 This Hui-style stir-fry restaurant is also quite good. The spicy pork and Kazakh potato chips are excellent. 🔴 Ma Bai Kailai's lamb chops and sliced pork slices are a Xinjiang specialty, and Dingjia Private Kitchen is also quite good, a Xinjiang specialty. 🔴The next morning, I went to Apa's milk tea house and had baolsak. It's delicious, with jam or cheese. It's absolutely delicious. I also had a lot of noodles, but they were still very tasty. 🔴Recommended things to do in the county town: 1. Li Street, a street with ethnic minority characteristics, perfect for taking photos and pictures. There's Gulai Dam ice cream there that you must try. It's open day or night, free of charge. 2. Tai Chi Altar, similar to the Tekes Museum, learn about the city's history and I Ching culture. You can see the eight streets of the Bagua City. Admission is 20 yuan per person, and it's open day or night. 3. The City That Never Sleeps, with ethnic minority song and dance performances, bonfires, mermaids, and more, is perfect for evenings. Free of charge. 4. The I Ching Cultural Park, where you can learn about I Ching culture, the Eight Trigrams, and other things. There's a fee, about 20 yuan per person, so it's best to go during the day. 5. The Tai Chi Eye Ferris Wheel, perfect for nighttime viewing. At night, you can visit Tai Chi Altar, the City That Never Sleeps, and another great place to check out: the Apa Grand Bazaar.
Tekes Bagua City, the most "Bagua" city in China. I never expected that there would be such a city with strong Taoist elements in Yili, Xinjiang, outside the Great Wall. Its layout is like a huge Bagua formation. There are no traffic lights in the main urban area. The streets are like a maze, and Bagua elements are everywhere. Karajun of the world is Bagua City of China. This place was once the Wusun tribe in the Han Dynasty, the Western Liao Dynasty in the Song Dynasty, and the Yili General's Mansion in the Qing Dynasty. A Bagua City opening ceremony and a song "Tekes Welcome You" raised the enthusiasm for tourism to the highest point.

Located in the center of Urumqi, Hongshan Park is a free attraction, and it is also a must-play attraction in Urumqi. After entering the park through security check, go straight all the way up, pass the Big Buddha Temple, and overlook the building (you need to pay ten yuan per person to climb the building) to reach the iconic building Hongshan Tower. Across the Red Mountain Tower, you can see the whole picture of the city center of Urumqi.
Urumqi Hongshan Park is located in the city center and is a national tourist attraction. The park is named for Hongshan, and the mountain is red. The park has Hongshan Tower, Big Buddha Temple, Yuanyulou and other attractions, as well as green spaces, lakes and other natural landscapes. It is a comprehensive natural mountain park integrating tourism, classical characteristics, humanistic connotation, and sports and fitness. It is a national 4A-level tourist scenic spot. It is also one of the new ten scenes of Urumqi City. It is a free park and personally feels worth a visit.

The Kashgar Gaotai Dwellings, preserved as a heritage park, boast over 600 houses built of mud and poplar wood. They stretch across a gently sloping landscape, with lanes ranging from 6 meters wide to just 1.5 meters narrow. While the houses appear shabby, the sunlight filtering through their walls creates a unique charm.
Gaotai Residence is located in the northeast of the old city of Kashgar, separated from the ancient city of Kashgar by a road. It is a Uighur architectural community built on the loess high cliff. It is more than 40 meters high and more than 800 meters long. It has a history of 600 years. It is a wonder of the ancient Uighur houses and folk customs in Kashgar. As a heritage park, the Kashgar Gaotai houses have more than 600 houses built with mud and poplar wood. They are laid on a slow high slope, the widest of the lanes is 6 meters, and the narrowest is only1.5 meters. Although the houses in the Gaotai houses look shabby, the sun is really unique on the walls.
