Yuelu Academy: One of the four great academies in ancient China, located at the foot of Yuelu Mountain, was founded in the ninth year of Kaibao in the Northern Song Dynasty, and went through the Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties until it was named Hunan University in 1926. Aiwan Pavilion: Located in Qingfeng Gorge, it was built in the fifty-seventh year of Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty. It was originally named Hongye Pavilion and Aifeng Pavilion. Later, because the Governor of Huguang Bi Yuan felt that the scenery fit the poem "Mountain Travel" by Du Mu, it was renamed Aiwan Pavilion. Lushan Temple: "The first famous scenic spot in Han and Wei Dynasty, the first Taoist temple in Hunan and Xiang", was built in the fourth year of Taishi in the Western Jin Dynasty. The temple has solemn buildings and towering ancient trees around it.
