It's my first time in Luoyang. It's a really nice city. The environment and attractions are all very nice. The climate is also very good. I will stay a few more days next time to have a good time. The Longmen Grottoes are really impressive.
The location is very good and worth a visit. However, the service staff's attitude is not good. I think it's too crowded. If there are many people, I suggest you still need to queue up. It would be better to stay nearby.

A Solo Trip to Mount Tai
Nine years ago, I visited Mount Tai alone, deep in autumn. The stone steps on the mountain path twisted like a dragon. I followed the crowd up, lining the path with dense pine and cypress trees, dotted with crimson leaves. The mountain breeze blew on my face, chilling my bones, a refreshing delight.
By the time I reached Zhongtianmen, my back was already drenched in sweat. While taking a break, I met an old man selling water, his wrinkles as deep as the ridges of Mount Tai's stone. I chatted with him for a moment, and he pointed to the summit with a smile, "Go up and you'll see the real deal." I continued on, the stone steps growing steeper, my legs feeling heavy as lead. Every visitor was panting, yet no one gave up.
As we reached Nantianmen, clouds billowed in, thickening and thinning. Standing on Jade Emperor Peak, overlooking the crescent of mountains, I felt a sense of "a small world." The setting sun melted like gold, the sea of clouds billowed, and I was momentarily mesmerized. Suddenly, it felt like nine years had passed like this mist, fleeting, leaving only the mountains and rocks unchanging.
As dusk fell, I descended the mountain, my legs trembling but my heart clear.

I braved the scorching heat with my children for two days at Qingyuan. We had originally planned to spend three days there, but the weather wasn't kind. On our second visit, we were soaked halfway through and had to return home. The park was full of fun for the children. Despite the heat, the park provided plenty of cooling measures, including numerous trees and artificial sunshades. Fans were also installed in many areas, spraying water mist.
The scenic area covers over 600 mu (approximately 180 mu) of water, boasting over 100 ancient ships of various sizes, over 400 houses, and over 30,000 square meters of landscaped buildings. It forms a large-scale architectural complex imitating the Song Dynasty in the Central Plains. The Shangshan Gate and Rainbow Bridge, vividly depicted in the painting "Along the River During the Qingming Festival," showcase the splendor and grandeur of the Song Dynasty, earning praise for their "extraordinary grandeur and magnificent architecture."

What time can I redeem my silver bills for refrigerator magnets? I arrived at Hanyuan Pier at 3:20, and the security guard said the staff weren't at work yet. I went out for lunch and arrived just after 5:00, and they said they were off duty. I'm going to file a real-name complaint for being late and leaving early... It was still a lot of fun. The forging fire was indeed beautiful, and the complimentary Hanyuan and Eiffel Tower are also worth seeing.
Wansuishan Great Song Dynasty Martial Arts City is definitely worth a visit! After dinner in the afternoon, you can watch Wang Po's Matchmaking show, and then schedule an appointment to see the iron flower show. The next morning, you can return to the park for breakfast, watch and participate in various small performances, and then at 11 a.m., watch the large-scale live performance "Three Strikes on Zhujiazhuang." The 80 yuan ticket gives you unlimited entry to the park for three days, which is quite attractive!

Qufu boasts the Confucius Temple, Confucius Mansion, and Confucius Cemetery. I drove all the way from Beijing with my nearly 80-year-old parents to visit. Admission is free for those over 60, so I give Shandong a big thumbs up for its cultural tourism. It fulfilled my parents' wish to see the sage's office and residence. Perfect!
There weren't many tourists when we went, so the experience was great. We booked a gold medal tour guide to take me with us, who explained the history of the Confucius Mansion and Temple in detail, and let us experience Confucian culture. I highly recommend this family trip!

Because of poor time management, I missed the free viewing time of the martial arts performance at the theater. I should have chosen a good time first and watched it before going inside.

1️⃣ We strongly recommend arriving a day early and staying overnight in a B&B near the Baquanxia parking lot. Enter the scenic area at 7:00 AM the next day. You can go rafting in Qinglong Gorge the afternoon before.
2️⃣ If you can't enter the scenic area before 8:00 AM, don't come!
We strongly advise against coming in the afternoon; it's very hot and crowded, and you'll definitely run into trouble if you don't heed the advice.
3️⃣ Arrive early. Route A is recommended (buy a ticket on a certain route). The scenery is all in the first half of Route A, allowing you to take beautiful photos while you're most energetic. The canyon is very cool in the morning, and if you walk quickly, you can get out before noon.
[Detailed Itinerary]
🚣🏼August 6th (Wednesday)
Chartered car from Changzhi East Station directly to Qinglongxia River Rafting.
Opening hours: 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM. The water is cool and quite exciting.
It's recommended to arrive early to avoid crowds. We checked in at 1:30 PM and had to queue for the shuttle bus to the river. We finished our swim and shower at 3:20 PM.
Reminders:
1️⃣ Purchase your ticket online an hour in advance to get it checked in; otherwise, you'll have to buy it on-site.
2️⃣ You'll get soaked, so you don't need a raincoat. You can buy slippers, water guns, and buckets on-site. Luggage storage is available.
3️⃣ Make sure you bring a change of clothes! Swimsuits are welcome. There's a simple shower, so bring shampoo and shower gel.
4️⃣ You can get a ride from the parking lot to Baquan Gorge for 30 RMB.
⛰️August 7 (Thursday) Baquan Gorge
7:35 AM - Walk from the B&B to Parking Lot 2. Take the free scenic area shuttle for 2 minutes to the scenic area gate. There are a lot of people checking in, so you'll have to wait in line.
Pitfall 1️⃣: If you're not driving, you still need to enter the parking lot to take the bus! Don't wait outside on the roadside.
Pitfall 2️⃣: Be sure to buy your ticket online in advance! Enter by scanning your ID card. Tickets purchased on-site are often crowded and require a line.
7:50 AM - Sightseeing bus ride (waited in line for half an hour, the longest of the day. There were 15 people per bus, so it was a bit slow).
Pitfall 3: Line B is in the left column, Line A is in the right column. Don't stand in the wrong row.
8:20 AM - The sightseeing bus takes 3 minutes to the tunnel entrance. A 5-minute walk through the tunnel leads to the cruise ship terminal. It wasn't crowded, so boarding was quick.
8:40 AM - Cruise departs. Upon disembarking, you'll find the Eight Springs Heart checkpoint.
Then walk through the canyon. It's not too hot or too sunny. We spent a long time taking photos, taking 3 hours. The walk to the cable car normally takes 1-2 hours.
11:50 AM - Arrived at the cable car station. Lines lined up for the cable car 🚠, which went over several hills. After getting off, there were places to eat.
We didn't climb up to the Jade Emperor Pavilion, but you can go to the back of the pavilion to see the scenery (p4).
There were no other attractions after that, so we had to transfer to other small public transportation.
Took the Sky Bus. Scan the QR code to buy a ticket for 20 yuan, which is recommended. The walk down the mountain takes 40 minutes. There's no shade along that stretch, so it's very sunny. There were 30 people per trip, so we waited a short while before getting on. However, the line B was very long at that time, so there was no shade and it was very sunny.
Then took the elevator. It was less crowded, so we waited for the first one and got on.
1:20 PM - After exiting the elevator, we arrived at the sightseeing bus stop. We exited the scenic area and took the scenic bus to Parking Lot 1. We arrived at Parking Lot 2 at 1:45 PM and returned to our B&B.
Beautiful scenery, indulge in the mountains and rivers. View the majesty of Taihang Mountain. I personally recommend Line A. View the mountains and rivers, what else can you do without climbing the mountain? Of course, Line A is less strenuous. Personal choice

It's really too small. It's all very modern. There are a lot of people who come here because of its reputation. The staff are very good. But there is really too little historical and cultural information when you visit.
Kaifeng's shared bikes are convenient. I saw online reports of university students from Zhengzhou paralyzing Kaifeng's traffic, and I thought there were no bikes left.
The only unpleasant part was that when we finally left, we were only a little over a kilometer away, and before we even got on the highway, we were stopped by two traffic cameras. I have to admire Kaifeng's strict traffic management.
The Great Song Kaifeng Mansion was built according to the scale of a prefecture prescribed by the Song Dynasty's "Construction Code," covering a total area of 130,000 square meters. This mansion is not only a vivid display of Song Dynasty culture and history, but also an important window into the political, economic, and cultural aspects of the period.
Inside the mansion, you can appreciate the beauty of Song Dynasty architecture and art, while gaining a deeper understanding of the rich history of the Song Dynasty, including its official system and rituals.

It is definitely worth a visit. The beauty of Hongshi Gorge is truly breathtaking. If you have the conditions, you can stay in a guesthouse in the scenic area for a night and take in all the beauty of Yuntaishan!
The most central and beautiful scenic area in Yuntaishan is undoubtedly Hongshixia. Only by seeing Hongshixia can you truly say your trip is worthwhile. Henan was hit by a severe drought this year, and when we visited in late July, we thought the mountains would be cool, but it was incredibly hot, almost to the point of heatstroke. We heard Yuntai Waterfall wasn't full of water, so we didn't go. And since we were there on a summer weekend, it was incredibly crowded. Yuntaishan is wonderful, but I really don't recommend visiting during the summer. June and September are much better and less scorching. We also went to Xiaozhaigou, but it was too hot and crowded, which greatly reduced the experience.
