A must-visit in autumn! Fragrant Hills Park holds Beijing's most captivating four-season poetry. If you were to ask which Beijing park embodies the beauty of each season to its fullest, the answer would undoubtedly be Fragrant Hills Park. Nestled in the foothills of the Western Hills, this classical garden not only carries a thousand years of history, but also offers a visual feast, making it a must-see destination for countless visitors. Spring in Fragrant Hills is a gentle prelude. Wild peaches and apricots bloom along the mountain path, their pink and white petals drifting in the wind, creating a romantic "flower path." Within the park, the century-old cypresses sprout new green leaves, creating a striking contrast with the red walls and yellow tiles of the temple. A stroll through the garden is a delight.
I took a stroll through Fragrant Hill today. Autumn was in full swing, and the forests were ablaze with color. 🍁Walking along the winding mountain path, it felt like stepping into a flowing oil painting. The rustling of fallen leaves with every step lightened my mood. From the vantage point, I could see the entire city of Beijing. In that moment, all my worries drifted away. 🍂 Fragrant Hill, you're such a relaxing place! I'll definitely be back! 🌞

[View] Ulan Butong is a three-dimensional landscape blending grassland and forest, with elegant and beautiful Yin and soft in the south, masculine masculinity in the north, colorful feasts in the four seasons, humanistic and natural symphony of lakes and wetlands, and characteristics of biological diversity and multiple experiences.
The tourist highlights of Wulanbutong Grassland are rich and varied, covering natural landscapes, cultural history, special activities and food. The following is a detailed introduction: Natural Landscape - Vast grassland and diverse landforms: Wulanbutong Grassland is located in the Inner Mongolia Plateau, with an average altitude of 1,640 meters, and the grassland is vast. The eastern and central mountain ranges in the scenic area are continuous, and there are many sand dunes in the northwest. There are also wetlands, rivers, lakes, etc. For example, there are large areas of wetlands along the Wulan River and Jiangjun Paozi, with excellent vegetation and rich species.   - Colorful autumn colors of Wucai Mountain: From September to October every year, Wucai Mountain presents a colorful landscape due to its rich vegetation. The birch and poplar trees are yellow, the maple and oak trees turn red, the pines and cypresses are green all year round, and various shrubs are also of different colors, as if the palette has been overturned.  - European style scenery area: The rolling hills and grasslands are dotted with sparse or dense birch trees. The grassland and forest are perfectly integrated, and the scenery is charming, comparable to the European grassland scenery.   - Panlong Gorge: The Sarik River flows through the mountains and ridges in this valley. The steep banks are densely forested, and the valley bottom is covered with water and grass. The river is winding like a dragon for dozens of kilometers.   Humanities and History - Ancient battlefield site: This was the ancient battlefield where Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty personally fought against Galdan. There are ruins such as General Paozi, Twelve Camps, and Tong Guogang's Tomb. It is said that General Paozi was formed by the gushing out of groundwater after the Qing army's artillery scattered Galdan's camel formation.  - Film and TV shooting base: Wulanbutong is a famous film and TV location shooting site. More than 60 film and TV works such as "My Fair Princess", "Kangxi Dynasty" and "Emperor Wu of Han" were filmed here. There are many stone tablets of film and TV dramas in the scenic area, which has become a popular choice for tourists to check in. Special activities and food - Folk culture activities: Grassland Nadam is a traditional Mongolian festival, with horse racing, wrestling, archery and other competitive events. In addition, there are bonfire parties, Wulanbutong Night and other activities, where tourists can sing and dance with herdsmen and experience ethnic culture. - Grassland entertainment projects: You can experience horse riding, camel riding, sand motorcycles, sand sliding and other entertainment projects, galloping on the grassland, feeling the pleasure of the wind whistling in your ears, or take an off-road vehicle deep into the hinterland of the grassland to explore those little-known beauties. - Mongolian specialties: There are meat delicacies such as roasted lamb legs, beer-baked lamb, and air-dried beef, as well as special drinks such as kumis. Visitors can taste the authentic Mongolian flavor.

Shi Tiesheng Ditan Temple is a famous Beijing scenic spot. It is clean and has a good environment. It is generally well received. It is quite recommended and affordable. It is recommended for people from all over the world to visit, especially for travel enthusiasts and those with children.
I went to the altar of the altar of the earth, and the altar of the heavens was square. Although it is not as big as the altar of heaven, the altar is shocking enough, and the tickets are much cheaper. And there are really not many people in the altar, and it is very suitable for sunbathing. It is a great thing in life to move a chair to the temple park in the afternoon! ! !

Incredibile place, seems impossible that everything was made so many years ago. Recommended to visit if you have some days to spend in Beijing and have already visit the main attraction.
Summer Palace Commentary Who doesn't praise their hometown? Yes, even today's new immigrants simply don't like people from their hometowns. I often wonder: if you've immigrated to a new environment, it must be better than the old one. Otherwise, why move? People always strive for higher ground, don't they? Strolling along the West Bank of the Summer Palace, gazing at the autumn scenery that only the Summer Palace can offer, I'm overwhelmed with emotion. I'm grateful to our ancestors for leaving us such a magnificent treasure. This park is a World Heritage Site and a priceless treasure of our motherland. At the Summer Palace, you can often see foreigners happily strolling the paths and through the woods, gazing with passionate eyes at every blade of grass, every tree, every scene... They can never get enough... Why can't they? Why can't we, the Beijing residents who have visited countless times, get enough? I often wonder, perplexed, why some modern man-made landscapes lose their appeal after just a few days, yet the Summer Palace is truly one I can never get enough of... Today, at the northernmost end of the West Embankment of the Summer Palace, a family of tourists from Northeast China asked for directions: Which way to get to the southernmost end? I asked them: What attractions are you planning to see? They said: "I want to see them all." I asked them: "Do you have the energy to walk?" They said: "Yes." I told them: "If you walk the outer circle, you can see the Farming and Weaving Map and the Changguan Tower, which was once a favorite place of Mayor Peng Zhen." They asked: "I'm walking the outer circle. Are you exercising?" I said: "Yes." What a simple conversation! For me, I get the same question almost every day at various attractions in Beijing. If it weren't in Beijing, not at the Summer Palace or the Bird's Nest, would I have such a conversation? The reason why Beijing is so captivating is, honestly, directly related to the dozens of emperors who have lived in this city. Their prominent status dictated the city's abundance of lavish architecture. The Summer Palace is Beijing's most beautiful park. Hangzhou's West Lake, Yangzhou's Slender West Lake, or Wuhan's East Lake are all easily surpassed by comparison. Yangzhou's Slender West Lake, for example, is incomparable. 1. Kunming Lake The Summer Palace boasts a vast expanse of water. Most importantly, the backdrop of Yuquan Mountain adds to the harmony and elegance of the entire garden, much like the Baoshu Pagoda in Hangzhou, adding to its infinite charm. On the lake's central island stands the Seventeen-Arch Bridge, a bridge that has brought lifelong joy to those of us who have visited the Summer Palace since childhood. 2. Seventeen-Arch Bridge The Seventeen-Arch Bridge is a masterpiece of ancient bridge architecture. It connects the east bank of Kunming Lake with Nanhu Island. Built during the Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty (1736-1795), it is the largest stone bridge in the park. Composed of 17 arches, it stretches 150 meters, spanning the East Causeway and Nanhu Island, resembling a rainbow resting on the waves. Its shape combines the characteristics of Beijing's Lugou Bridge and Suzhou's Baodai Bridge. The stone carvings on the bridge are extremely exquisite. Each bridge railing is carved with a lion of different expressions, with a total of 544 lions of different sizes. There are also stone carvings of strange beasts at the two bridgeheads, which are very vivid. The north side of the bridge is inscribed with "Spiritual Beast Yanyue" and the south side is inscribed with "Practice Lingbo", which contains profound cultural connotations.

Tanzhe Temple, located at the foot of Tanzhe Mountain in southeastern Mentougou District, is famous for its Dragon Pond and mulberry trees, and is commonly known as Tanzhe Temple. Construction began in the first year of the Yongjia reign of Emperor Huai of the Western Jin Dynasty (307 AD) and it was originally named Jiafu Temple. The central section, from south to north, features the memorial archway, mountain gate, Heavenly King Hall, Main Hall, Three Saints Hall (now abandoned), and Pilu Pavilion, with side halls and corridors to the east and west. The eastern section features the Abbot's Courtyard, the Qing Dynasty imperial palace, and the Liubei Pavilion, all courtyard-style buildings that served as residences for monks and accommodations for visiting imperial family and scholars. The western section comprises a temple-style complex of halls, including the Lengyan Altar (now destroyed), with its octagonal double-eaved roof, the Jietan Hall, and the Guanyin Hall. It was the largest imperial temple in Beijing.
Tanzhe Temple came first, and then Beijing. This is a thousand-year-old temple worth visiting, and the Imperial Ginkgo Tree, the Golden Jade Bamboo, and the Vajra Longevity Pagoda are all worth stopping to admire.

Very beautiful place. Water dance, Drone show and fire performances are amazing.
The Great Wall and the natural scenery are really beautiful, especially the night view. However, I felt that Gubei Water Town was boring. The shops in the town were uninteresting and the restaurants were not special. It was not worth buying a ticket to enter.

Today's trip to Hongluo Temple was particularly enjoyable. Although there were not many people on weekdays, the tour guide was very enthusiastic in explaining the tour and reminded us of the precautions. The scenery was particularly beautiful, especially when we climbed to the highest point and overlooked the scenery of Huairou, it was worth the trip.
We bought a direct bus, but it ended up being included with the bus to Mutianyu Great Wall. The trip did depart from Shaoyaoju at 9:30 AM, but the pickup from Hongluo Temple wasn't until 4 PM. And to make money, we had to take everyone to the Bird's Nest for a paid tour afterward. Those who didn't visit were dismissed in a place not close to the subway or buses. So, the long tour involved a lot of climbing up and down the mountain. We went up along Guanyin Road and down another way. It was quite steep, so be careful. Overall, the scenery was beautiful and quite interesting.

Entering the Zaoyuan Gate of the Old Summer Palace, one is greeted by lush greenery. A crystal-clear lake teems with koi and ducks, while weeping willows sway gracefully, and stone bridges exude an air of antiquity. Within the gardens, tranquil paths dotted with flowers and plants reveal both the rich history of the site and the freshness and elegance of nature, creating a delightful journey between history and nature.
The Old Summer Palace is located near the north gate of Peking University, not far from the Summer Palace. You can reach it by subway Line 4. Enter through the East Gate and exit through the South Gate. Entering through the East Gate leads to the core area, where you can visit most of the ruins. Afterwards, you can take a boat or walk out of the South Gate. Alternatively, enter through the South Gate and exit through the East Gate, where you'll find the Lotus Scenic Area. From there, take a sightseeing bus to the ruins and exit through the East Gate. The Old Summer Palace is quite large, so walking around it would be exhausting, so you might consider using public transportation. If time permits, you can also visit nearby Peking University and Tsinghua University.

The top of Nanhouding is not the highest peak. If you want to climb it, you have to climb a wild mountain. It is really wild! The last section is full of big rocks, but the scenery is good and it feels different.
This year's red leaves are not so many and not so beautiful. I came here from the city and drove for more than an hour to and from the area for 5 minutes. I was a little disappointed. I personally feel that the shuttle bus to the scenic area is a bit expensive at 50 yuan for a round trip. After all, the distance is not far, only 7 kilometers round trip.
