I brought my children to visit Huangguoshu Waterfall. They were amazed and shocked. The guest center helped arrange the itinerary. We visited the Big Waterfall and Doupotang in the afternoon of the first day, and the Tianshengqiao Scenic Area on the morning of the second day. The itinerary was reasonable and not stressful. We also saw a double rainbow and were very happy!
Huangguoshu Scenic Area, a National 5A-level scenic area, is renowned for its spectacular waterfalls and unique karst landforms. Below is a detailed introduction: Overview • Location: Located in southwest Guizhou Province, 128 kilometers from Guiyang and 45 kilometers from Anshun. • Scenic Area: Covering a total area of 163 square kilometers, with an average altitude of 900 meters, the Huangguoshu Waterfall is the centerpiece of the scenic area, home to 18 distinct waterfalls, making it the world's largest waterfall complex. Main Attractions • Huangguoshu Waterfall: At 77.8 meters high and 101 meters wide, it is the largest waterfall in China and one of the world's most famous. Its Water Curtain Cave, 134 meters long, features six windows and five cave halls, allowing visitors to experience the majestic power of the falls up close. • Doupotang Waterfall: Located 1 km upstream from Huangguoshu Waterfall, the waterfall boasts a crest width of 105 meters and a height of 21 meters, making it the widest waterfall in the Huangguoshu Waterfall complex. It was also a filming location for the 1986 version of "Journey to the West." • Tianxing Bridge Scenic Area: Approximately 6 km from the Grand Waterfall Scenic Area, it is divided into the Tianxing Bonsai Area, Tianxing Cave Scenic Area, and the Water Stone Forest Area. It boasts dense stalagmites and lush vegetation. The highlight is the Yinlianzhuitan Waterfall, a funnel-shaped waterfall with a captivating silver chain-like cascade. Tickets and Transportation • Tickets: 160 yuan/person in peak season, 150 yuan/person in off-season. Sightseeing bus ticket: 50 yuan/person. Sightseeing escalator ticket (two passengers): 50 yuan/person. • Transportation: Take the high-speed rail from Guiyang North Station to Anshun West Station, then transfer to a direct bus to the scenic area. Alternatively, take the airport bus from Guiyang Longdongbao Airport to Anshun and then to the scenic area. Recommended Tours • Route: We recommend the Grand Waterfall-Doupo Pond-Tianxing Bridge route. First, take the escalator up to the Grand Waterfall, then walk down to Doupotang, and finally visit Tianxing Bridge. The entire trip takes approximately 5-6 hours. • Best Time: The waterfall is at its most spectacular during the high water season from July to October. Late August to mid-September is a better time to visit, as it's off-peak.

Practical tips Opening hours: 08:30-18:00 daily Ticket price: 25 yuan/person, sightseeing bus ticket 20 yuan/person Preferential policy: Free admission for seniors over 60 years old and teachers with certificate Transportation suggestions: Drive to the tourist center or take a taxi from Zhenning County Special highlights Intangible cultural heritage research: batik making, Bouyei language teaching and other experience courses Rural scenery: rice fields, magnolias and double-petal cherry blossoms around the village Photography spots: ancient bridges and small lakes, stone alleys, Bouyei clothing travel photography
🌿 In the thousand-year-old Buyi ancient village Gaodang, I encountered a mother and daughter working in a batik workshop interviewed by Guizhou Daily📸 The rustling sound of the wax knife was more moving than any commentary. It turned out that the real intangible cultural heritage was hidden in the warmth of their palms.

The Water Curtain Cave is located at a height of 40 to 47 meters above the Huangguoshu Waterfall. It is 134 meters long and consists of 6 cave windows, 5 cave halls, 3 cave springs and 6 passages. This is the real scene where the 1986 version of "Journey to the West" filmed the scene of Sun Wukong flying into the Water Curtain Cave. The stalactites in the cave are of different shapes. You can also look out through the waterfall curtain from different positions and enjoy the double-track dynamic rainbow on the Rhinoceros Pond, which is very wonderful. Photography suggestions At the viewing platform outside the Water Curtain Cave, you can take a panoramic view of the waterfall. With the waterfall as the background, the characters stand sideways or with their backs to the body, which can capture the artistic conception. Enter the Water Curtain Cave, stand in front of the cave window, let the sunlight pass through the water curtain to form a halo, and take close-ups of the characters. On the iron chain bridge, with the waterfall and green mountains as the background, take pictures of the characters walking across the bridge to add dynamics.
Exploring the Water Curtain Cave: Seeking the Wonderland of Journey to the West In the Huangguoshu Waterfalls in Guizhou, there is a mysterious and wonderful place hidden - the Water Curtain Cave. It is not just an ordinary cave. As the filming location of the 1986 version of "Journey to the West", it has long become the "Wonderland of Journey to the West" in the hearts of countless people with the popularity of the TV series, attracting many people to come and explore this wonderful world hidden behind the waterfall. Before approaching the Water Curtain Cave, you can hear the roar of the waterfall from afar. The sound is deafening, as if thousands of troops are galloping past, arousing people's curiosity and expectations. When you arrive in front of the waterfall, you can see a huge curtain of water falling from the sky, majestic, like the Milky Way hanging upside down. The splashes of the waterfall are like smoke and fog. Under the sunlight, they turn into gorgeous rainbows, dreamlike and intoxicating. With excitement, I walked into the Water Curtain Cave and felt as if I had traveled through time and space and entered a fairyland isolated from the world. Outside the cave, the waterfall is like a natural barrier, isolating the hustle and bustle of the world; inside the cave, it is dark and mysterious, but also cool. Walking along the narrow passage, the stalactites on the cave wall are in various shapes, some like dancing fairies, some like fierce beasts with bared fangs and claws, and some like lush forests. Under the light, they flash with strange light, which makes people sigh at the uncanny workmanship of nature. The most amazing thing about the Water Curtain Cave is that you can look out through the waterfall curtain from different positions in the cave. Standing on the viewing platform in the cave, you can see the rushing waterfall in front of you, and the water droplets splashing on your face bring a hint of coolness. The fresh water vapor fills the surroundings, making people feel refreshed. Through the water curtain, the outside world becomes hazy and dreamy. The mountains and green trees in the distance are looming under the cover of water vapor, like a beautiful ink painting. At this moment, it seems that I have become a member of "Journey to the West" and am enjoying this wonderful world with Sun Wukong. In addition to the beautiful scenery, the Water Curtain Cave also carries rich cultural connotations. It is closely connected with "Journey to the West" and has become a place where people yearn for the mythological world. Here, you can see the statue of Sun Wukong, as well as the murals and scene restorations related to "Journey to the West", which makes people feel as if they are in that mythological world full of fantasy and feel the unique charm of mythological stories. Visiting the Water Curtain Cave is a wonderful journey of vision and soul. It has both magnificent scenery given by nature and rich cultural heritage. Whether you are a fan who has a special liking for "Journey to the West" or a traveler who is keen on exploring natural wonders, the Water Curtain Cave can bring a unique experience. When you walk into the Water Curtain Cave, cross the waterfall, and explore the mysterious cave, you can encounter a dreamlike and wonderful time and gain an unforgettable and beautiful memory.

Practical tips: 1. Transportation suggestions: Sign up for a one-day tour in the city or take the high-speed rail to Anshun to transfer to the scenic area through bus 2. Tour route: Recommend the lower half of the Tianxing Bridge route, where the highlights are concentrated 3. Best time: The flood season (June-August) is the most spectacular, and rainbows are easy to see on sunny afternoons 4. Photography skills: Shoot from a low position on the calcified beach to capture the effect of the hem of a wedding dress
Yinlianzhuitan Waterfall is located in the Huangguoshu Waterfall Scenic Area in Guizhou. Located about six kilometers below the Huangguoshu Waterfall, Yinlianzhuitan Waterfall is funnel-shaped with a trough-shaped karst pool at the bottom. The water flows down from the cliffs more than ten meters high like a silver chain, which is very spectacular and visually impactful. Going there in the early morning or evening when there are fewer people can better appreciate the beauty of the waterfall.
