It was a perfect place to go after sunset. Wolji Pond is an artificial pond that was constructed by King Munmu in 674 CE. It is very impressive how it was created and still well-maintained! Donggung Palace was around since the Silla Kingdom. Obviously this is a reconstruction but it resembles the original building. It was also fascinating to learn about the artifacts that were discovered there, such as pottery, jewelry, building tiles, waterways, and Buddha images.

The tourist area has an international conference center, a tourist center, a golf course, a comprehensive store, a tourist hotel and other facilities, all built in the traditional Korean style. There are also entertainment facilities such as a cruise ship berth, Liufu Village, Sonje Art Museum, Bomun Open-air Stage, Drive-in Theater, and Gyeongju World. Gyeongju Bomun Tourist Area is located in Gyeongju City and is an international tourist park. The tourist area is centered on Bomun Lake, about 6 kilometers east of Gyeongju City, and covers an area of about 1,033 hectares (a total area of 3.23 million pyeong). The entire area is designated as a hot spring area and a special tourist area. It opened in April 1979 and is a comprehensive tourist resort. There is a huge waterwheel at the entrance. The water from Deokdong Lake flows down the canal, causing the waterwheel to rotate under natural power. There is also a 12-meter-high artificial waterfall at the entrance.
There are many places to eat and many things to walk around, but I don't recommend visiting on a walking tour. It would be much more convenient to have a car. There is quite a distance between the complexes. There are many restaurants and cafes, so I recommend visiting with your family.
