There are also entertainment facilities such as a cruise ship berth, Liufu Village, Sonje Art Museum, Bomun Open-air Stage, Drive-in Theater, and Gyeongju World. Gyeongju Bomun Tourist Area is located in Gyeongju City and is an international tourist park. The tourist area is centered on Bomun Lake, about 6 kilometers east of Gyeongju City, and covers an area of about 1,033 hectares (a total area of 3.23 million pyeong). The entire area is designated as a hot spring area and a special tourist area. It opened in April 1979 and is a comprehensive tourist resort. There is a huge waterwheel at the entrance. The water from Deokdong Lake flows down the canal, causing the waterwheel to rotate under natural power. There is also a 12-meter-high artificial waterfall at the entrance.
