For those in London and surrounding areas burning the candle at both ends (whether that’s clocking into the office super early or heading back after a great, late night), knowing when the first and last Elizabeth Line times could be a lifesaver. That’s why we’ve created this blog - to clearly lay out when you can hop on the nifty Elizabeth Line and end (or start) your day in Reading, Shenfield, Central London or more.

When are the first and last Elizabeth Line services?
The earliest Elizabeth Line service is technically the Westbound service from London Paddington at 04:36, which runs Monday to Friday. The latest service is the Eastbound service from Brentwood at 01:32, arriving at Shenfield at 01:38.
However, this doesn’t mean these times are representative for all services along the route. Check below for your station and which direction you’re heading in to see when the first and last service runs.
It’s also important to mention that, when it comes to UK train schedules, the definition of ‘earliest’ and ‘latest’ can be misleading. You’ll notice that some of the ‘latest’ trains appear earlier than the ‘earliest’ - this is because the schedule counts journeys made past midnight, though before 4:30 am, as the previous day because the station temporarily shuts in between the ‘last’ and ‘first’ service, marking the end of the ‘day’. For instance, a train that runs on Saturday at 00:38 am would count as a train which ran on Friday evening.
