When are Off-Peak Gatwick Express tickets valid?
Gatwick Express doesn't actually have off-peak fares. Instead, tickets are valid at all times of day, giving you the flexibility to travel on any train at a time that suits you. This doesn't mean that you can't save, though. Gatwick Express' partner train operator, Southern, often has SplitTicket discounts on this route and will still get you to the airport in around 30 minutes.
For example, instead of buying a ticket from London Victoria to Gatwick Airport, you could save by buying a ticket from Victoria to East Croydon and another from there to Gatwick. While Gatwick Express doesn't have off-peak tickets, for most other operators, it's usually defined as any time after 09:30 on weekdays, and all day on weekends and bank holidays. When are Super Off-Peak Gatwick Express tickets valid?
Super Off-Peak doesn't apply to Gatwick Express – you're free to travel on their trains at any time of day. Some other companies offer super off-peak fares. Generally, these tickets are valid between 10:00 and 15:30 on weekdays. Just keep in mind that each train operator is different, though, so it's always wise to check before booking. How to find Off-Peak Gatwick Express tickets
