Where does the Oyster Card work on the Heathrow Express?

Yes, you can use an Oyster Card or contactless payment on the Heathrow Express, making it easier than ever to get between London Paddington and Heathrow Airport.

This includes travel to and from the following stations:

Note: The Heathrow Express does not stop at Terminal 4. If you're travelling to or from Terminal 4, you’ll need to use the Heathrow Connect (now part of the Elizabeth Line) or the shuttle service between terminals.

How much does it cost with an Oyster Card?

When using an Oyster Card or contactless, prices are fixed and slightly cheaper than buying paper tickets at the station. Here’s what you can expect to pay (2025 pricing):

Paddington to Heathrow (any terminal)£10.70£22

Peak hours apply: Monday–Friday from 06:30 to 09:30 and 16:00 to 19:00.

Your fare is automatically capped when using PAYG. Just remember to tap in and out at both ends of your journey to avoid being charged a penalty.

Important notes when using Oyster on Heathrow Express

  • Oyster Cards must be loaded with PAYG credit: Travelcards and Season Tickets are not valid on Heathrow Express services.
  • Tapping in and out is essential: Failure to do so may result in a maximum fare being charged to your card.
