When are the first and last Stansted Express trains?

Technically, the earliest Stansted Express service runs from London Liverpool Street to Stansted Airport at 03:40 am on Mondays and Fridays, delivering you at the airport for 04:30 am. Alternatively, the latest Stansted Express service runs from Harlow Town at 00:47 am on Tuesdays to Sundays and arrives in London Liverpool Street at 01:21 am.

That said, the times shown aren’t universal across the whole route. To find out when the first and last trains operate for your specific station and direction of travel, take a look at the detailed breakdown below.

It’s also worth noting that UK train schedules can be a little counterintuitive. You might spot a “last” train listed earlier than the “first” of the day—this is because journeys between midnight and 04:30 am are technically counted as part of the previous day’s schedule. That’s due to the brief overnight shutdown of stations, which marks the end of one service day and the start of another. For example, a train departing at 00:38 on a Saturday morning would actually be considered part of Friday night’s schedule.
