Advance booking

You can enjoy discounts of up to 70% by booking in advance. Popular routes allow bookings up to nine months ahead, and for other routes, the sooner you book, the cheaper it will be. Trip.com has marked the lowest prices for you, easing your travel arrangements.

Renfe Group Fare

Groups of 4 to 9 people travelling on AVE or AVE International trains will receive an 8% discount. Groups of 10 to 25 people can get up to a 50% discount on AVE, AVE International, Avant, and Cercanías trains. For groups larger than 25 people, you can submit a quote for approval. Please note that all Renfe group tickets are non-changeable. If you need to cancel, the entire booking must be cancelled according to the original ticket's terms and conditions, and a fee will apply.

Renfe Young Persons Fare

Young people aged 14 to 25 can enjoy up to 30% off train fares with the Más Renfe Joven Card, which costs €50. This card, valid for a year and non-transferable, offers a 30% discount on AVE and AVE international trains. Additionally, get a 25% discount on Avant, Cercanías, and Rodalies trains.

Renfe Children Fare

Renfe grants a 40% discount on ticket prices for children aged 4 to 13. These children can select seats on AVE, AVE International, and Avant trains, and they can make changes or get refunds according to the ticket type, potentially incurring a fee. Children under four travel for free but do not receive a reserved seat. Please note that, on Cercanías trains, children under six can travel for free without a reserved seat.

Renfe Over-60s Fare

Renfe offers up to 40% discounts for those aged over 60 with the Tarjeta Dorada. The card costs €6 for one year, €12 for two years, and €15 for three years. If you are travelling on AVE and AVE international trains, you can get a 25% discount. For Avant trains, discounts vary between weekdays and weekends: 25% during weekdays and 40% on weekends. All services provided with discounted tickets are the same as those with full-price tickets, including the policies for changes and refunds.

Básico

The Básico fare on AVE trains is the most affordable option, but it does not allow for refunds or changes.

Elige Estándar

Slightly more costly than the Básico fare, the Elige Estándar fare on AVE trains comes with the flexibility of 70% refunds and one free ticket change, plus numerous additional paid services.

Elige Confort

The Elige Confort fare is somewhat more expensive than the Elige Estándar fare. The key difference lies in the wider seats and greater amount of leg room.

Prémium

Prémium, being the most expensive fare, offers the advantage of unlimited free changes and refunds, and XL Confort Seating.
