Renfe Group Fare

Groups of 4 to 9 people travelling on AVE or AVE International trains receive an 8% discount. Groups of 10 to 25 people travelling on AVE, AVE International, Avant, and Cercanías trains can enjoy up to a 50% discount. For groups larger than 25 people, you can request a quote for approval. Note that all Renfe group tickets are non-changeable. If cancellation is necessary, the entire booking must be cancelled according to the original ticket's terms and conditions, with an applicable fee.

Renfe Spanish Large Families Fare

Large families traveling with Renfe in Spain can benefit from 20% discounts for general category families and 50% for special category families on most train services, including AVE and Larga Distancia. These offers exclude AVE International, Avant, and Cercanías services. For single-parent families, discounts apply only to Rodalies trains in Catalonia with the appropriate documentation from the Generalitat de Catalunya.

Advance booking

By booking in advance, you can benefit from discounts of up to 70%. Popular routes can be reserved up to nine months ahead, and for other routes, the earlier you book, the lower the price. Trip.com highlights the cheapest prices, simplifying your travel planning.

Disabled passengers can benefit from Renfe's discounts, with savings of up to 40%. For just €6, you can get a Tarjeta Dorada, which allows you to travel on AVE, Avant, and Cercanías trains for a year. The discount on Avant trains is greater during weekends. Refunds or changes to tickets are subject to the type of ticket and may incur a fee.

Renfe Over-60s Fare

With the Tarjeta Dorada, Renfe offers up to 40% discounts for those aged over 60. The card costs €6 for one year, €12 for two years, and €15 for three years. If you are travelling on AVE and AVE international trains, you can get a 25% discount. For Avant trains, discounts vary between weekdays and weekends: 25% during weekdays and 40% on weekends. All services provided with discounted tickets are the same as those with full-price tickets, including the rules for changes and refunds.

Onboard Renfe trains from Madrid to Gijon
