Renfe Children Fare

For children aged 4 to 13, Renfe provides a 40% discount on ticket prices. These children can choose seats on AVE, AVE International, and Avant trains, and can make changes or request refunds according to the ticket type, which might incur a fee. Children under four travel for free but are not permitted a reserved seat. On Cercanías trains, children under six can travel for free without a reserved seat.

Renfe Over-60s Fare

Renfe's Tarjeta Dorada offers up to 40% discounts for those aged over 60. The card costs €6 for one year, €12 for two years, and €15 for three years. You can get a 25% discount on AVE and AVE international trains. For Avant trains, discounts vary: 25% during weekdays and 40% on weekends. All services provided with discounted tickets are the same as those with full-price tickets, and the same rules apply for changes and refunds.

Advance booking

Renfe Disabled People Fare

For disabled passengers, Renfe offers up to 40% off. By spending €6 on a Tarjeta Dorada, you can travel on AVE, Avant, and Cercanías trains for a year. The discount on Avant trains is higher on weekends. Refunds or changes to tickets depend on the ticket type and may incur a fee.

Renfe Group Fare

Renfe offers group travel discounts, with an 8% discount for groups of 4 to 9 people travelling on AVE or AVE International trains. Groups of 10 to 25 people can get up to a 50% discount on AVE, AVE International, Avant, and Cercanías trains. For groups of more than 25 people, a quote can be submitted for approval. Note that all Renfe group tickets are non-changeable. If you need to cancel, the entire booking must be cancelled according to the original ticket's terms and conditions, with an applicable fee.
