During this trip to Hokkaido, what I look forward to most is to see drift ice on an icebreaker. With seagulls and drift ice, this trip is worthwhile. The ship has three floors, and the lowest level is the closest to drift ice. It is the wind and the cold. After watching it, I hide in the cabin to keep warm, and then come out to continue to capture the beauty of ice and snow.
The Oktoberfest is the first eve of the Hokkaido Abashiri Summer Festival. The only commercial street in the urban area of Abashiri was opened as a pedestrian street. Dozens of shops are lined up, selling beer, drinks, and various skewers, and a long table is set up at both ends of the street for diners to drink and drink. The skewers attracted local residents, especially the office workers, who went straight to the Oktoberfest after get off work, and regarded the pedestrian street as an izakaya for gatherings after get off work.
The hotel’s outdoor private bath, Abashiri-limited drift ice beer, the nearest JR unmanned station (Kitahama) to the Sea of Okhotsk, and the If You Are the One, cannot have a better day. It is recommended to stay here for three or four days and feel it.
