There are famous beaches in Côte d’Ivoire in Africa. Bassam Beach is one of them. Many tourists come here to take pictures, play in the water and enjoy the sun. Let’s take a look!
Stayed in Korte for almost three years and went to Barsam twice. Every time I come to sit by the sea with my friends for a whole day, blowing the sea breeze and sun, there are many restaurants along the line, and many friendly African boys and girls. Very good.
Objectively speaking, the Grand Bassam Beach in Cote is far less than the farther Acini Beach. Acini Beach can be comparable with the world famous island resort. But I think the most valuable thing about Grand Bassam is not its beach, but the history of the small town of Grand Bassam. The old town of Grand Bassam is a world heritage site. It was the first place the French colonists landed and the earliest capital of Côte d'Ivoire. There are many French homes in the old town, and more colonial buildings, such as the Governor's House, the Post Office, etc. There is a sculpture of three women in the center of the city, which tells of the French colonial period, the first of the three women to rise up against the colonialists' enslavement of their husbands and children. The Grand Bassam is the mouth of the Comoe River, which divides the city into new and old, more French and closer to the beach. The old town entrance to a pizza shop is decorated with a touch of taste and tastes of the best pizzas ever eaten, especially the delicious seafood pizza. Good value for money, you can try it.
Located about 45km east of Abidjan, the beaches of Codivat are one of the most beautiful and famous. There are plenty of beach chairs at the big Bassam hotels, which are great for a day on the beach, relaxing and enjoying the sun of Africa. If you are not very good at swimming, try to move closer to the shore because the waves are very high. The beach will be crowded on weekends and there will be less work flow. If interested, buy some souvenirs from the seaside vendors, such as masks, brass, wood carvings and batik.
Bassam Beach, on the outskirts of Abidjan, the capital of Côte d'Ivoire, is one of the most beautiful beaches in Africa, not many tourists, with plenty of beach chairs, very relaxing and a great place to stay
