Amalfi Coast Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Amalfi is the most charming coastal town in the world
Among the many coastlines in Italy,
the scenery of the Amalfi Coast is the most beautiful.
Located on the south side of the Sorrento Peninsula in southern Italy,
from Salerno to Positano, there are 14 coastal towns. In 1997, the Amalfi Coast
was listed as a 'Cultural Landscape World Heritage Site' by UNESCO.
🍀
One of the top ten most beautiful sights in the world,
together with the Greek islands, it is known as 'Paradise on Earth'. The sunset light permeates the entire sea, waves and sails,
the houses are scattered and shrouded in smoke, the crowd and vehicles on the cliff path are calm and peaceful, and the beauty is overwhelming.
🍀
There is a small town also called Amalfi.
The name of this town is also the source of the name of the Amalfi Coast.
From Positano along Salerno,
there is a bay road known as 'Lemon Street'.

PATH OF THE GODS , ALMAFI COAST
PATH OF THE GODS, ALMAFI COAST
Dari kawasan pergunungan kita menuju ke pinggir lautan … dari utara minggir ke selatan. The famous Almafi Coast, a 50-kilometer stretch of coastline along the southern edge of Italy’s Sorrentine Peninsula, in the Campania region. Kawasan dengan tebing tinggi di sepanjang pinggir laut yang menghubungkan penempatan tepi laut yang cukup terkenal, definitely one of the most beautiful part of Italy 🇮🇹 . The not so good thing is this place can be crowded and expensive especially in peak season.
So that’s why I choose to travel on the off season and the best way to explore this region in my opinion is by foot. Terdapat banyak hiking trails di sepanjang tebing tinggi pinggir laut dengan view yang cukup dramatic di antara bandar Almafi dan Positano but I choose the most famous—the Sentiero degli Dei or Path of the Gods!
This 8 kilometres hike between the village of Bomerano to Nocella, Positano and vice versa will take around 2 to 4 hours (depending on how many times you stops to take in all the views).
So how difficult it is? It’s can be easy to moderate difficulty… you find it easy if you are an experienced hiker … which I’m not and I find it was not too bad .. BUT … bare in mind that this hike is not for everyone and never ever underestimate the risks because some of the paths are rough, very exposed and narrow with loose stones. So be extra careful with your feet.
The important thing to know is it’s much easier to start your hike from the village Bomerano (easily reach by bus from Almafi) and end it in Nocella because the hike mostly downhill.
But if you up for something more challenging you can do it the opposite way 🤷🏼♂️.
I just love hiking/ tracking along the coastline - you’ll have epic seascapes, dramatic cliffs, and epic coastal scenery. I have a chance to do a few costal hike around Europe and here are my top 3 so far :
1. Fira to Oia, Santorini
2. Path of The Gods, Almafi Coast
3. Monterosso to Vernazza, Cinque Terre

Vietri sul Mare Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Bringing some color to your feed
The charming town of Vietri sul Mare, Italy.🇮🇹😍 Trip with @delafuentecam
Italian cliff town | coastal town of Vietri
This tranquil cliffside town of Vietri sul Mare is a must-visit on Italy's Amalfi Coast. It is the last stop from west to east on the entire Amalfi Coast, and is a colorful town built on a cliff with its back to the mountains and facing the sea. It is beautiful and dreamlike!
The town is a ceramic source on the Amalfi Coast, famous for its handmade colored ceramics with a history dating back to ancient Rome, full of southern charm.
The town is full of ceramic galleries created by artists. The residents of the town decorate the streets and alleys beautifully, and you can always see many beautiful colored ceramics on the mottled walls. These colorful alleys are perfect for taking photos, especially for those who love art!
Walking into the coastal town of Vietri sul Mare, you will see everything from markets, handicraft shops, restaurants, to cafes. It exudes a strong sense of local life and is much quieter compared to the more famous Amalfi and Positano.
Amalfi Coast transportation:
SITA Bus: Naples City - Amalfi Town
Departing from the Varco Immacolatella station in Naples, SITA Sud operates buses to Amalfi town. This route does not pass through Sorrento on the west coast, but passes through Vietri sul Mare and Maiori on the east side, and travels along the coast from east to west to reach Amalfi town, with a journey time of 2 hours.
Monday to Friday, three shifts per day (9:00, 14:30, 17:30), ticket price.
5.2 euros. Reduced weekend schedule.
The town of Vietri sul Mare, Mare in Italian means the meaning of the sea, meaning the town of Vietri by the sea. To talk about porcelain, it is definitely a look at Vietri, the birthplace of Amalfi porcelain. The town's ceramic craftsmanship has been around for hundreds of years, and the ceramic factory shop can be seen everywhere in the vietri on the cliff.
The small street is full of artists' ceramic galleries. Ceramic paintings can be seen everywhere on the wall. It has been merged with the town in the years. On the mottled walls, there are cracks or defects in the ceramic paintings.
The town is playing Tips
1, the parking lot is near the top of the mountain. It is recommended to park the car on the mountain. There is a whole shopping street at the top of the mountain. Mosaic products.
2, the observation deck of the parking lot, there is a lovely donkey. In the mosaic products, the appearance of the donkey is quite high. In the eyes of the Italians, the donkey does not mean stupid, but a lucky mascot that can be brought to them. Therefore, the image of the donkey is essential for every ceramic shop. Signboard.
3, there is a stone step leading to the mountain next to the parking lot. When you walk to the beach, you will find a blue street where the residents create a paradise of tens of meters.
4, blowing the wind from the Amalfi Coast, the beach is very pleasant.
On the Malfi coastline, near the Italian boots, there is a small, insignificant town of Vietri sul Mare. Mare means Italian meaning in the Italian language, meaning the town of Vietri by the sea. To talk about porcelain, it is definitely a look at Vietri, the birthplace of Amalfi porcelain. The town's ceramic craftsmanship has been around for hundreds of years, and the ceramic factory shop can be seen everywhere in the vietri on the cliff.
The residents here are all painters, artists, walking around, there is a blue alley in the town, and nearby residents have created a few according to their beliefs and preferences. Ten meters of little party paradise.
I don't know if I thought it was in Chefchaouen, Morocco, where the walls on either side of the stairs were all painted blue. This alley is quite Islamic in style.
If there are such residents who are neighbors, it is estimated that my home will slowly become artistic.

Amalfi Coast
Must-see attractions in Italy丨Amalfi Coast (Amalfi Coast)
The Amalfi Coast is a must-visit area in Southern Italy, of which Amalfi and Sorrento are two highlights.
If you have limited time, I recommend Surento first!
Reason 1: Convenient transportation🚅
Sorrento is a convenient base for exploring other nearby attractions. If you want to go to Capri Island and Pompeii, you can easily arrange it, but Amalfi is more inconvenient.
Reason 2: Scenery 🏞️
While both towns are on the Amalfi Coast, Sorrento has something unique to offer. Amalfi can walk around for an hour, it's really a bit small.
Reason 4: Diverse dining options🍝
There are many seafood restaurants here, so you can eat delicious food and enjoy a slow-paced holiday, so that you have more time to relax.
Of course, it's best to go there when you have time!
Holiday Inn Nola - Naples Vulcano Buono Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Trip along the coast
After spending a few days in Rome it was time to rent a fiat 500 and drive to in the direction of Napels. The roads once you are outside Rome are good and the trip down is straightforward.
Do make sure the car rental firm has included Napels in your cover as some firms do not cover this area.
After a night in the the Holiday Inn Nola which is based in a building shaped like the nearby vulcano the trip along the coast to Napels started. If you want to swim and take your time you should leave early in the morning, just follow the A3 south and turn right when you get to the sea.
I was amazed by the beautiful towns, villages and views over the sea. After a lunch on a beautiful terrace it was time to move along the small windy roads until I noticed a beach, black sand, and stopped to relax and swim.
Then continue to the Amalfi coast and on to Napels for diner or as I did nack to the hotel for a lovely glass of wine and a great meal.
