The Alaska Native Heritage Center offers an opportunity not just to learn about the culture of the indigenous people of Alaska, but also to experience part of their life. This is accomplished through modeled villages representing Alaska’s 11 major cultural groups. Alaska’s indigenous people make up about 17% of the Alaskan population and are rich with history and tradition.
Situated in Anchorage, the Native Heritage center offers an opportunity for a number of authentic activities including storytelling, song and dance, movies, art and craft exhibitions, and museum-quality exhibits.
The Center also ensure that your visit is not just a learning experience, but also a pleasurable and exciting excursion into a world rich in cultural gems, and an adventure into a part of the world very few people know much about.
Turnagain Arm Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Alaskan Bore Tide
A bore tide is a special kind of tide that can result in amazing altitudes and trajectories.
There are several hot spots around the world where bore tides are particularly impressive, and Alaska has one of them.
Known as simply the “Alaskan Bore Tide,” this stretch of coastline in the Turnagain Arm of Anchorage has jaw-dropping tidal waves.
They can reach between 6 – 10 feet tall, and it isn’t uncommon for their speed to surpass 10 – 15 miles per hour.
Viewing these tides is just a matter of finding good places to see among the observational points of the area.
There isn’t an official site, so feel free to hike, bike or drive wherever the locals point you.
At the end of the day, when you’re witnessing these amazing bore tides crash into sands, cliffs and dunes, you’ll realize why Alaska holds such power as a nature destination.
Address: Alaska, United States
Turnagain arm is a beautiful area south of anchorage, where there are beautiful bore tides that you can surft for literally miles and miles, with stunning mountains in the background
The bright sunshine in the morning always cares about the coastline in the northwest of Tanah Island. The blue sea is full of ripples, and the tides on the shore retreat to the distance. In the pure sea water, the coral reefs connected to each other stretch for dozens of miles, with an elliptical blue water area in between, overlooking the sky, like the pupil of the sea, the magical Tanner Blue Cave.
The mysterious and fantastic blue hole is like a dazzling pearl on the coast of the island, surrounded by beautiful corals. From the pocket-sized Tanner Airport, take the pickup truck all the way north, accompanied by the dust flying along the way, through the quaint paths surrounded by the jungle, and soon you can reach the waters where the blue caves are located.

You will walk amongst the clouds thousands of feet in the air and marvel as you peer down into the lush green valleys of Girdwood Alaska. they say that ALASKA is a bucket list adventure and I agree. There are so many wonderful and incredible natural beauties that make Alaska the last frontier.

Today, I watched a skiing competition, slush cup, a local celebration of spring snowing entertainment. The rules of the game are very simple. 50 contestants are on the stage. The single board and the double board are not limited. They slide down from the snow slope and rush to the two ice puddles. Finally, they can see who can draw the farthest [fangs] can complete two puddles. It can be said that there are very few, and slowly sinking into the ice water is also very successful. Those who use the head or the butt to drop the water first are not bad, and there are several faces that land first. . . Its a real pain to watch. . .
Kenai Fjords National Park Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
100,000 year old glaciers await you visit
The Kenai Fjords National Park is an American national park that maintains the Harding Icefield, its outflowing glaciers, and coastal fjords and islands. The park covers an area of 669,984 acres (1,046.9 sq mi; 2,711.3 km 2) [1] on the Kenai Peninsula in south-central Alaska, west of the town of Seward .
this is one of the most picturesque areas in Southern Alaska. Seward is a fishing town and should not be overlooked if you decide to drive down from Anchorage. they have hundreds of hiking trails and camping areas for the outdoor enthusiast.

There are nearly 40 glaciers in Harding Icefield in Kenai Fjord National Park. This time I watched the Exit Glacier. If you have people in your class who are not suitable for high-intensity mountain climbing, it is recommended to take a look at the Glacier Viewpoints at the bottom to see the glacier. Walked almost 10 minutes from the visitor center.
Don't look at the Harding Icefield Trail, which has a total of only 4.1 mile. Considering the steepness, you need to return to the top after climbing to the top. It takes about 8 hours to go back and forth. Climbing this trail will have a lot of angles to see the Exit Glacier, and you can see a large glacier after climbing to the top.
When the walk came, the weather was not very good, it was rainy. Visibility is not very far. Be careful to keep warm, and the more you climb, the more you feel cold. Fortunately, the blue of the glacier is enough to make people intoxicated, but it is also a reward.
Wonderful day at Kenai Fjords National Park

A wonderful national park and the most beautiful one that I have ever seen. The national park was stunning and you required to have a full hike equipment as you will need a long hike to the beautiful view.
It’s really impressive when you are here , it’s stunning and we love it so much. You should be here once in a life time and highly recommended.
In 2024, I wish to visit Iceland to experience different kind of winter adventure .
