The Ouzeri Tou Laki is located in a calm street in a very nice corner and has a very cosy interior that already promises very thoughtful and honest dishes. With a daily changing and always very fresh selection of a wide range of local fish and shellfish, you will always find the right thing for your taste. From crab, octopus or sepia to ray, monkfish or superfresh sardines, you can decide how you want your dish to be prepared: either grilled, fried or boiled. In any case the texture will be on the point and everything will be perfectly spiced. On top of that you will find more dishes, like special types of pasta or vegetables that are based on homegrown recipies by the Chef herself. For myself I can say, that some dishes brought me a new idea of combinations of taste that I never expierenced before, like a fried monkfish with a special garlicpaste or a pasta with herring and pink pepper. Both extremely tasty and one-of-a-kind. Alongside you will get homemade, crisp salads (very nice feta and capers on the greek salad!) and chilled vegetables with lemon. Besides you can choose the fish/shellfish yourself, by having a look at the iced vitrine, so will see exactly what you get. Regarding drinks, you will find a huge selection of Ouzo and a very nice dry wine, both red and white. Concerning the prices, you will be surprised how honest and reasonable you will be treated. Everything is worth every Euro! Big time! The same thing counts for the service. Very friendly and open to any questions, of course also in explaining everything in English. I have been there the first time half a year ago and I come back each time i am in Athens and was always heartly welcomed, as well as very satisfied. The Ouzeri is open from lunchtime until late night, so you can freely choose when to eat. Allover - If you want to have very good food in a very high quality that you will not find in such a kind anywhere else, while still be treated straight and honest, the Ouzeri Tou Laki is a must! A
