His stylish townhouse is situated on a quiet street in the ancient town of Plaka with only four bright, separate rooms, so book it in front. Neoclassical features abound (high ceilings, wrought iron balconies, creaking wooden stairs), but the appearance is marginal eclecticism, not old-fashioned twill. The first floor feels like a real home with a library, phonograph and kitchen diners. Breakfast (appropriate coffee, homemade cake, squeezing your own orange juice) is a public service that takes in the secret courtyard in the summer.
