山水人生After driving out of downtown Galway, we headed eastward, basically crossing the east-west direction of the island of Ireland, stopping at Athlone, a larger city on the way. Get off the bus and watch Athlone Castle and nearby churches located in the city center. This is also the final piece of the Irish tour. Athlone, a city in the central part of Ireland, is also a city that is flowed by the Shannon River. We parked in the center of Athlone and went to the nearby St Mary’s Church and Athlone Castle. The former is a very ordinary church, and there is already a lot of aesthetic fatigue for visiting the church, so it is just to look around inside. The latter is a restored building on the banks of the Shannon River. We just went around and took a look, and did not purchase tickets to enter the interior. By the way, take a look around the nearby streets and the Shannon River, this city is still very beautiful.
