Sheikh Zayed Mosque is also known as the Abu Dhabi Grand Mosque. Famous for its luxurious decor, it features an illustrious white marble façade and tons of intricate gold patterning. The interior of the mosque is equally fantastic, with chandeliers inlaid with tens of thousands of crystals and an immense wool carpet that was hand-woven by thousands of workers over the course of a year. The mosque is valued at a total of $5.5 billion and is open to visitors of all faiths.

Costing 5.5 billion dollars to build, the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is said to be the largest and most luxurious temple in the UAE. It's also the only one open to female visitors. This mosque offers free clothes for non-Muslim visitors, like black gowns for women.
I visited the famous, Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque which is located in Abu Dhabi the capital city of the United Arab Emirates. The largest mosque in the country and the key place of worship for daily, Friday and Eid prayers. Any time of day is a good time to visit the mosque. But if you are into your photography then you might want to visit at sunset or just before sunset during golden hour as the photos I have seen from this time make the building look even more beautiful as the sun is shining off of it and for women before visiting the mosque, as this is a Muslim site you do need to cover up and understandably they are very strict with the dress code. They do provide women with a black Abaya free of charge which they have in a few different sizes. On arrival, you are directed to a room where you change before entering the Mosque. #qingmingtravel #urbanexplorer #grandmosque
