A library in downtown Alexandria, passing by, sees the building, the library also collects a lot of historical books, is Egypt's most famous library, the interior design is very characteristic, high up and down a platform.
Discover new ways to explore the area
A gorgeous new building, both inside and outside are fascinating. The fact that it is located on the site of the ancient library of Alexandria is also special. As for what you will experience, the space, the books, the tourists, and then the three museums on the first floor. One is a treasured book and document that requires extra payment to enter. If you have time, you can visit the library with a guide.
I wanted to go to this library for a long time. I saw pictures of this place in many places, but the actual visit was another feeling. If you go with a child under 16 you need to go in through a free tour. Our guide lili was very nice. Tickets are not expensive and students are half priced. My advice and advice to the administrators is that the signage is important. By placing the signage, informing visitors in advance these little things will save a lot of trouble, please don't think everyone knows the rules of the library. Also, there are no signs to inform visitors that the ticket purchase is not far from the entrance, and we didn't know it until we entered.
too much useful for child
The new Library at Alexandria in Egypt is very attractive and it is interesting for about a 45 minute visit. They have English speaking tour guides on-site, you do not need to hire your own. There are small art and artifact museums on site. If you have been to Luxor or Cairo you will not be very impressed with the museums. It has an overpriced gift shop/bookstore. This is something to do when you have done most everything else in Egypt. It is not a must do, unless you are really into libraries.
